Such a brilliant night last night. We walked in and were greeted and sat down straight away. Waiters were very welcoming and polite. Very fast service! Highly recommend

Visited this restaurant on the 25/01/25 (last week Saturday) I enjoyed the service and most of all I met this amazing server named Louise she was amazing she made the whole experience a 10/10 i am most definitely coming back to see her smiling welcoming face , while dealing with difficult customers she handled it so professionally for her age honestly so happy to see young people take initiative now a days it’s very rare ! Congratulations Louise and thank you for making me feel more than comfortable at velvet room I will be back and cannot wait to meet you again :) !

Loved the new year celebrations

Unfortunately we were a party of 13. Paying £41 each for bottomless brunch. Which was for two hours. We didn’t receive our first drink until an hour later. Some of us didn’t get their drink at all. The staff tried to make those who had received a drink pay up front. Even though we’d all paid a deposit £10. This’ll by the time we would’ve had our food our time would be up. Extremely unprofessional. Ruined the birthday celebrations we were there for. We all left leaving them the deposit. I do not recommend anyone going there at all.

We did the bottomless brunch (pre booked) First round of drinks took over 30 mins. Food took just shy of an hour. Restrictions on ordering of next round of drinks (despite slow service for first round) We had to chase for every round of drinks and food. (We even checked, and they stated they were fully staffed) No accessible toilets which made it difficult for a few members of our party.

We had a very good experience Abbie, Jensen, Evie and Joe we’re amazing and helped us all night especially for my friends birthday the drinks were spot on and the food was great could not recommend more.

Absolutely sublime level of service at the velvet room. Evie, Abi and Jensen are the 2025 equivalent of prime top gear, absolute legends. Need a raise.

Luke! An absolute legend. Considering he was on a trial, his service was second to none! I would have thought he had been working here for years. A true credit to the Velvet room and their team. Good fantastic. Atmosphere fantastic. Service, outstanding.

First time at the Velvet Room for bottomless brunch and already looking forward to coming back! Our server Jenson was fantastic , quick and friendly! Great Friday evening!

We booked a bottomless brunch from 3pm - 5pm. We sat down at 3:15pm and received our first drink at 3:43pm. We ordered a mojito, which tasted like soda and cheap rum. At 4:05pm, after ordering another drink and waiting 25 minutes, and food we decided to leave. In 1 hour and 5 minutes we had 1 drink served to us. I would not recommend this as a bottomless brunch experience as half of our time we were sat waiting. They wanted £41 for this which we refused to pay. When speaking to the manager she didn’t not at any point apologise or even understand that this was not good enough .

Great night for a pre Christmas festive bottomless brunch! Jenson served us all evening and was fantastic, didn’t prolong the drinks like some bottomless brunches do and was really accommodating with changing certain drinks to suit allergies etc, we had a great night & 100% recommend. Thank you!

We booked for 25 of us for a football doo Only to be told we weren’t welcome and that ot wasn’t confirmed even tho we had emails and had paid a deposit Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone disgrace of an establishment

No welcome on entry, service was slow, food was mediocre. Venue is more of a cocktail bar than a tapas restaurant, looks like it would be a nice vibe later in the night but wouldn't go for dinner again.

Turned up for cocktails, fantastic menu and Sheila was incredibly funny, friendly and offered amazing service. Turned up as newbies, left as friends and will definitely be returning again for some more "old fashioned" or another "godfather".

I came across this place because someone left a review about another venue, HONESTLY……..NOT DISAPPOINTED. The food is nice, flavours banging. I’m not too much into fried food anymore but on the odd occasion and this was one of them. I’m stuffed

Morgan was amazing dealing with drinks and food all by herself. She coped really well with 3 very drunk ladies on bottomless brunching, one of which is my wife. It turns out she is the assistant manager and does a brilliant job!! Well done her!!

We had our first experience of the velvet room on Saturday evening and it was fabulous! We aren’t from the Northampton area and had travelled for birthday celebrations but we wasn’t disappointed! The friendly staff were very attentive, always on the scene to offer more drinks(but not pushy), cocktail favourites and suggestions were shared and recommendations made. None which failed us! On top of the extensive menu of cocktails, the tapas menu was vast and incredibly tasty with it! I would recommend this place to anybody in the area and I shall be returning again very soon!

Had a wonderful evening for my bestfriends birthday! Wished we had come for bottomless. Food was delicious and staff were so attentive and helpful. Danny and Sophie were both lovely and a pleasure to the buisiness. Will be back!!!

The drink was so weak I had to ask for another shot to add to it. The mushrooms were tough to cut with a knife. At best it’s rated a 3 for the diversity of the menu.oh and not handicap friendly, bathrooms are upstairs.

Every time I come to Velvet the staff are always so amazing, attentive and provide such quick service. Plus the atmosphere gives the best vibes, and me and my friends always come whenever we are in town!!!!

Came for Mother’s Day Food and Drinks, Had the most amazing time. first time coming to this venue, highly recommend and definitely be visiting again. the service was incredible and well organised. Attention to detail on drinks and food was excellent and atmosphere for the whole afternoon was lovely. Danny and Morgan our servers were really welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Bartenders were constantly working hard whilst also giving recommendations for drinks that we would like. I highly recommend the velvet room and I’ll see you very soon.

Absolutely amazing! The staff were incredible and the food and drinks were top knotch. Will definitely be returning. I would say up there as number 1 as the nicest bars/restaurants in Northampton town. Will be recommending to family and friends! Thankyou to all staff!

Had bottomless brunch here & what a cool place it is! It’s like a little labyrinth and like you walk into another world! The service was impeccable - Danny & Sophie looked after us so well and were so accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious & there was so much variety, my only criticism is the portion sizes…I think slightly larger portions would be better & safer with bottomless brunches to reduce any carnage! The cocktails were glorious and very funky with an extra flair that really made them stand out! We upgraded to the premium cocktails (worth the money!) and were kept very topped up. Lovely place & atmosphere (the staff deserve medals for keeping things clean and clearing up vomit!) and would definitely go again!

Had the best bottomless brunch experience on Friday... stunning cocktails and delicious food 👌... thanks to Liv and the manager for looking after us... definitely worth paying the extra £5 for a wider choice of cocktails... would highly recommend and we'll definitely be going again soon ❤️

Went for a bottomless brunch with work friends. There were 8 of us and the place was really busy but that didn't stop us getting amazing service from our lovely waitress Sophie and the rest of the team. They are so friendly, welcoming and worked so hard to keep us happy. Wonderful tasty food and drinks. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommend this beautiful place

Danny!!!!! What can we say. Brottomless brunch for 2 hours and I lost count of how many cocktails we had. Every order he took for us when he brought the cocktail over he took our order for the next one. He chatted with us and took photos and made our night better than we could have hoped for. Well this weekend we had such a wonderful hen doo at The Velvet Room! Danny the waiter was absolutely fantastic, felt as if he was an old friend. He was hilarious and very professional. The food was lovely and the drinks were great!! We had the bottomless brunch and we didn't have to ask for another round once. The order was taken while we still had a drink. Great day out! Would highly reccomend!!

Went for a bottomless brunch on 11.05.24. we had a great time. The service was amazing. We definitely got our monies worth of cocktails! Liv, our server was lovely and the manager really made us feel welcome, he even turned the Aircon down a bit!! Would strongly recommend to anyone wanting a brunch date. Went in for pre theatre lunch. Lovely little place, Young staff were really friendly, knowledgeable about the food & drinks. We had Tapas, it was really tasty, great portions. Cocktails were really good. Lovely couple of hours. Would definitely go back.

Love this place, but Danny the manager made it extra special today. We were booked in for another restaurant and popped in for a cocktail beforehand and Danny was able to sort us a table as we have loved coming here since it opened. Danny was fantastic throughout the whole day, the food was amazing, Danny's service was great he was always attentive and nothing was any trouble. We've loved it here today, so much so we've planned to come back first weekend of June and hope Danny is working....if you read this reviee dont disappoint us Danny, we will see you then 😊

Danny boy the manager was amazing! greeted us with a beaming smile and also was able to give us a table, for food and drinks. Despite I was told they were full for the slot we wanted. Danny was attentive and always making sure we were OK. Glasses were never empty and nothing was ever any trouble. Food was great, atmosphere great. If you want Someone caring for your needs you need Danny!
