Valley Spice in Birmingham

First and last time we used this place. Chowmein very bland n watery. Pork balls absolutely horrible n Batter like rubber Chicken curry again watery n tasteless Chips hot but hard. Sorry but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Usually it's been ok but today I went to order food, and the guy who takes the order sam I think it is, was really blunt with me and spoke down to me, not good customer service at all, but then spoke nicely to everyone else not sure if it was because I was young or. Seemed prejudice though

Food was supposed to arrive latest at 9:15pm, the food arrived at 9:50pm. When it did arrive the half the food was cold. Will never be ordering from here again!

Food is quality. Started collecting our food because delivery experience had not been great takes for long. Would recommend 100% either way

We had an estimate delivery time of 19:25 to 19:35 it arrived at 20:29. I had to feed my children something different as I had to get them to bed, the restaurant was rude when I rang up to complain about the food being late, this is not acceptable.

I never write reviews but since having moved away from the area a few years ago, we’re still yet to come across a better Chinese takeaway. Food always freshly cooked, quality ingredients, great taste and excellent customer service. Look no further than Valley Spice!

Kept moving delivery time back after promising 7.20 - 7.40 delivery. Rang 3 times each time said on the way? Now 8.20pm and still nothing - Just Eat says it is on the way - where from Valley Spice is less than 10 mins away!!!!

Found something in large spring roll (like a string of metal) put us off the rest of our food and had to make different food for young children because of being worried for them to eat after….

so an hour for delivery, ok it's Friday...still waiting 30 mins after estimated delivery, even though the app saying out for delivery (waiting another 30 minutes). Had issues before with long delivery times but thought to give it one more go. Never again...absolutely shocking service. Will never order from here again based on delivery!! All you get if you ring is really sorry driver out for delivery! Where is he travelling? if you cannot cope with demand do not suggest the estimated delivery!!

Love the food here chicken chow main amongst other things is really nice,staff always friendly been going her 20 years the food has only got better in my opinion,there consistent and clean and easy parking.

Always on time if not early, excellent food.

Delivery was already going to be an hour and 20 minutes, which is a long time. To then add 20 minutes on for 1 hour and 40 is shocking. Wouldn't even give me a couple of quid back for the inconvenience.

Very disappointing. Ordered on Uber eats as there was a promotion on. Took an hour and a half to arrive - understandable as it was peak time. Food arrived and was very poor - salt and chilli chips soggy, salt and chilli chicken looked like it had been thrown around the kitchen after being boxed up - crispy shredded beef was okay (credit where it’s due I suppose). I reckon the food had been in the drivers car for a good while as had to call for an update and they said the driver was busy. Such a shame as it could be very good. Hopefully things get back on track.

Delivery time was absolutely shocking, after 25 minutes got through on the phone for them to say it would be another 20 minutes. 50 minutes later in total and came more than 2hrs after ordered. Won’t be ordering again

terrible service have ordered my food and it’s nearly been 2 hours waiting said it was on its way 1 hour ago and still hasn’t arrived food was cold and we called to check when it would be getting to use they said 5 minutes it’s now been another 30 minutes

I get that it’s Friday night but to wait 1hour and half to 2 hours for your food,that’s ridiculous.Don’t take orders if you can’t deliver them in time,definitely not going to order again.

Unfortunately the food we ordered on Uber eats we did not enjoy. The salt and chilli chips were soggy and the Cantonese chicken wasn't to our taste. The chicken fried rice was very nice but was the only thing we really enjoyed.

Amazing service and wonderful food, arrived before I even got message to say it was coming, and exactly on time if not a minute early. Recogmend to anyone.

We ordered crispy shredded beef, beef in Blackbean, bbq ribs, chowmein, egg fried rice, chicken curry. The food was really really nice, will deffo be ordering again, only thing to complain about was the chips, only slightly underdone. On the whole a very good find and would recommend

Ordered at 7pm told be here about 8pm changed to delivered enjoy your food at 8pm rang them at 8.15 stated Just Eats fault waiting for the driver no apology finally turned up at 8.30 then to top it all of item missing after we paid for prawn crackers which they normally give you free anyway not good enough poor service

I had been a regular customer of Valley Spice for many years but sadly after my last order l will not be ordering from there ever again. I ordered the egg fried rice which l have done on many occasions without realizing that it was indeed the egg fried rice that was causing me to bloat and feel extremely uncomfortable. My last order nearly put me in hospital so l will advise those who enjoy their egg fried rice from this establishment to be very careful it could seriously damage your health.

said out for delivery and enjoy your food, but had not arrived. phoned the restaurant to enquire about my order,was told it hadn't left yet.was over an hour late. meal was hot but not much meat in the chow mein.

Was a 30 min late but was estimated time so can't moan delivery driver very polite and food was absolutely amazing very tasty and came hot like just cooked hot very impressed will order again definitely

I have been going to valley spice for 26 years, I will not order again, greasy, very fatty meat and not much of it, more mushrooms and onion than anything else and just tasted of pepper with hard under cooked chips. I will not be ordering again.

Best takeaway chinese had for a long time. We shared king prawns in batter, satay chicken and egg rice and a soup each plenty and tasty.

This time was quite late, I am aware it's a busy road at this time of Day, and there are road works going on so all is GOOD.

Ordered from Uber eats due to an offer, soon came to regret it. Chicken curry chicken was not cooked (see picture). It was slimey, pink vile. The rest of the food was reheated slop which took over an hour to come.

Useless customer service, food was late and all he could say was it's on the way. No new delivery time because he couldn't contact the driver. Very unhappy. Food arrived covered in oil and slimmy

I ordered food from here and waited the hour for the food after an hour and a half I phoned to ask where the food was and they said they hadn’t received the order but had taken the money. Even though it was their web site they said there was nothing they could do. Do not use this takeaway they are scam merchants

Been Ordering here on and off for a year mainly because one of few chinese’s that have a 5 star food rating… but delivery time is shocking… Say 710/7.20 turn up after 8pm.. We had someone who has to take medication at 7.30 and they had to cook something to take their medication with.! When you call they say there 15/20mins away delivering to someone else after there 20/25 mins late already.. Manage people’s expectations it’s simple, if your not gonna be able to cook and deliver in the hour then change your delivery times People actually depend or count on the information you provide.. if you lost custom because of an 90 mins wait you’d have better reviews as your manage people’s expectations.. shame we won’t be ordering again and it’s not like it was a cheap meal Almost £90 for a 90/100 minute wait, wouldn’t take that delay in a restaurant let alone fast food joint….

if i could give them 0 stars i would. we ordered food and in 2 hours it still hadn’t arrived, we called multiple times and they ignored all our calls. they finally picked up and told us it would be 15 mins and 45 minutes later it hadn’t arrived. they proceeded to ignore all of our calls until they finally picked up and were rude and hung up on us when we asked how long it would take. don’t bother

Was missing 3 items but was more than enough food but wasn’t impressed the fact I spent over £50 and had missing items but food was lovely

I have ardered twice from there through deliveroo. They seem to be hit or miss. The first time the food came on time and it was very tasty. The second time, they took 2hrs to deliver, at which point I had made food at home and did not take the order when it came. The app showed that the food left the shop 1hr in which I highly doubt, as it can not have taken the remaining 1 hr to deliver 0.9 miles away. I called them multiple times over the course of 40m, and the only answer I got was to wait. I did not take the food when it came and asked for a refund by phone, which I still haven't got. (I'm writing this the next day) I understand that it may have been busy, but there is a point where you stop accepting orders because you should know your capacity. I will not be ordering from them again.

I always order from here as it is close and delicious food. Tonight I ordered fresh chips and tinned roe, the roe was very hot and tasty BUT the chips was not fresh very hard and stale. If I receive something like this again I will not order from this place again.

We’ve had a Chinese from here each week maybe for the past year and every time it’s just got worse. They have their own delivery drivers which is fine but get told on a Wednesday night after an hour and a half that they’ve got four drivers out and will be 15 minutes. Over 2 hours for a delivery of average tasting food. They just lie and really don’t deserve my business going forward.
