Vaghaar in Harrow

Arsh was very attentive and we enjoyed a good dinner!

I went yesterday at vaghar with my family. The food was testless. We ordered Manchuriyan, Schezwan rice and kaju curry n naan. The Manchuriyan is ok ok but the curry is testless no sweet, no saulty, no spicy nothing at all. And the rice same its say its Schezwan rice but no test as well Schezwan. And no complimentary food aside with north indian dishes like pickle or anything. Other restaurants are providing now complimentary food aside. Morales, The service and atmosphere is ok but the food is totally testless. We wasted our 40 pounds.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Vaghar Restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. The quality of the cuisine was exceptional, with each dish prepared and presented to the highest standard. I would especially like to commend staff members Dixi for her outstanding service. She demonstrated professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine courtesy throughout our visit, contributing significantly to the positive impression of the establishment. Their dedication to excellent customer service is truly commendable. I look forward to returning and will certainly recommend Vaghar Restaurant to others.

Good service by harsh good guy and awsome food

I had a wonderful experience at Vaghar Restaurant! The ambiance was inviting, the food was absolutely delicious, and everything was beautifully presented. I want to give a special shout-out to the amazing staff members Arsh and dixi. They were incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we felt welcome throughout our visit. We went last night in waghar for family dinner and it was amazing experience staff was also very supportive specially Jatin and I would suggest everyone to go visit for authentic vegetarian gujrati food ..!!

Had heard so much about the food at Vaghaar that when we were in the area, we had to try it out. And have to tell you, it did not disappoint. We went all out in trying a number of dishes from its extensive menu: cheese bread rolls, khandvi and daal baati for starters. Honestly, the daal baati was the standout dish and it would qualify as a mains in itself given the quantity that was served. The daal was perfect with its garlicky flavour and the server even showed us how to assemble the dish by crunching the baati into small finer pieces and then garnishing it with ghee, jaggery, onions and the spicy red chutney before topping it up with the hot daal. An explosion of flavours for sure. For mains, we had the Pav bhaji, Gobi 65 with Indo Chinese fried rice, Kathiawadi undhiyu with bajra rotla. Great flavours again and the bajra rotlas were amazingly soft and tasty. As recommended the undhiyu was the lesser spicy between Kathiyawadi and Surti version which suited us just well. Arsh took great care of us and service was fast and impeccable. If you want to try authentic Indian Gujarati food, then Vaghaar should be the place you cannot afford to miss.

Quality food was authentic and delicious, Harsh Served well I would like to give 5 out of 5 for service, Thank you we would like to enjoy food again whenever is possible, We just didn’t like the curry vegetable kohlapuri onions and Other vegetables wasn’t chopped properly rest of all was Fine I would like to recommend others to have a Taste a food of Vaghaar

The service was the true highlight of the restaurant specifically the man who served us named Arsh managed to be incredibly punctual and attentive when it came to meeting our needs. The presentation and preparation of the food was great with the vegetarian dishes being a true highlight. The paneer based dishes certainly stood out the most to me. The food is comparable to other similar indian restaurants in the area but does hold its own. The atmosphere was the weakest aspect with a truly niche selection of elevator music. However the quality of service and food made up for it. Had a great time. Overall I give it 12/15 and a 100% recommendation.

The layout of the restaurant was nice, the service was okay but can be improved (mixed number of cutlery every time they changed them + waiters were not attentive / unaware we were waiting to be served) and some of your dishes which did not hit the mark. You need to hire a qualified bartender as your cocktails and mocktails were very poor. All our alcoholic drinks tasted watered down. Overall, it was not value for money.

We have heard a lot of things about vaghaar restaurant which was good. But, yesterday it made me disappointed because of the service. I came with my family to eating in this restaurant. I had booking already. We were 6-7 people. Just we came late 20 minutes, it doesn’t mean you can say to your customer that we have more empty tables so, that we are closing the restaurant earlier. If you guys are closing earlier, you should say in advance. Why you guys have put the timings till 10:00 Pm? The first time I came at the restaurant and I and my family both were disappointed.

I recently ordered pav bhaji for a group of 20 people from Vaghaar Restaurant, and I must say, it was an excellent experience! The food was freshly prepared, flavorful, and the portions were generous. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and the quality was consistent across all servings. Went as a family of 8 for dinner. Not for me. Didn't enjoy the starter or the mains. Nothing really stood out. Won't be going there again. Paneer dishes were not nice, paneer was diced and thrown into sauces. Biryani was too spiced up.

Decided as family to try ,place was buzzing ,staff were attentive however the gujrati food we ordered was disappointed ,Khandvi was not fresh, undhiyu was not fresh nor tasty , bhakhri was not able to chew it, lassi was too salty , Kadhi in main was too salty, could taste raw garlic ,we were also advised the Handwo in starter is not fresh

Absolutely amazing food and kind, genuine service, really recommend coming here 🌹 The lovely waiterJatin recommended the Ringan Oro (Bharthu) with Bajri Rotio, it was made by Chef Babu and it was so so delicious 🙏🏻 There was a large party of maybe 20 people so I saw many yummy dishes being brought to their table and they all seemed really happy. Definitely recommend this lovely place ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I recently dined at Vaghaar and was thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The booking process was seamless, with the staff confirming our reservation promptly and courteously. The ambience struck a perfect balance between modern elegance and traditional Indian charm, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was exceptional—especially the rich, flavorful paneer dish and the crisp, perfectly spiced Hara Bhara Kebabs, which truly stood out. The service was attentive, professional, and added to what was an outstanding dining experience.

Charged me £7 for a small plate of chips that were probably just from the freezer. Overpriced

We recently visited Vaghaar on Kenton Road with a large family group of 23 adults and 3 children. The food was generally good, with dishes like Chilli Paneer, chilli & garlic mushrooms, and sautéed crispy veg being highlights. However, we noticed that many dishes shared a similar base and sauce flavor. Unfortunately, some dishes, particularly the Chilli Paneer, were overly salty. We focused on starters and a few main courses, skipping desserts, and also ordered some beers. The bill was quite steep at £31.80 per adult, which we found expensive for a pure vegetarian restaurant. In comparison, we’ve had similar experiences at non-vegetarian Indian restaurants in Harrow, including alcoholic drinks and desserts, for under £35 per person. Despite the good food, Vaghaar’s pricing seems high for its offerings.

Went there on a recommendation from Birmingham, and one time we think it's better we have eaten something on the street that will be better than what we had there. Overpriced and food were not good at all.

We just got back from dinning out at Vaaghar. It was the worst experience ever! Slow waiting staff with no real enthusiasm to serve us! We had to ask for certain things several times. They had zero knowledge of the food that they were serving. The chilli garlic mogo was not edible as it was super hot (chilli). My friend and I had to quickly pay up and leave the restaurant as we both were feeling light headed after eating the super spicy food. We ended up going elsewhere. The crispy bhindi was tasteless and we had to ask for chutneys and masala to create taste. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. The cost did not justify the taste at all. Please do not waste your money or time here.
