I recently tried the masala dosa and medhu vada, both of which were crispy and delicious. The service was excellent—prompt and attentive. The chutney served alongside was exceptional and really enhanced the flavors. A special thanks to restaurant manager Jignesh for taking such good care of us during our visit. Overall, it’s a must-visit place for anyone looking for authentic and flavorful food!

Taste-wise the food it quite good Dosa are excellent for the price if you are someone who loves Udupi style sambar which is a bit sweet you would love their dipped vada in sambar. Pineapple sheera tasted good and felt light. Overall experience was great staff was nice hope you don't take this the wrong way the staff and management could improve a bit by being a bit more professional.

I recently visited MTR on Rayner's Lane for the first time during my trip, and it absolutely did not disappoint! I was so glad I made the one-hour journey each way for two consecutive days—it was worth it! The food instantly transported me back to Bangalore with its authentic flavors. I ordered the thali on the first days and got to taste a little bit of everything. The sambar, dosa, idli, and vada were all spot-on (Sambar is unlimited unlike Sarvanna Bhavan ;)). Although the chutney was a bit underwhelming, it didn't bother me much since I'm not a big fan of chutney anyway. The service was outstanding, with the staff being incredibly friendly and hospitable. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone looking for a true taste of South Indian cuisine in London!

If you want the authentic taste of Banglorean tiffin food, MTR should be on your stop. Nestled along Rayners lane streets, there is great varierty of south-indian dishes and the service has quick turnaround so you dont wait for long for your food. Order only what you can finish as they do not provide takwaway containers (good to not waste food anyway). There is ample space along the road for paid parking or free after 6.30pm. Do visit, highly recommended.

There were 3 of us eating. We ordered 3 Onion Masala Rava Dosa. They delivered 2 Dosa first, and my friend had to wait 10 mins more to receive his Dosa. Which is very bad service. The same dosa should be delivered at the same time. The Dosa we ordered were covere with Red Chilli powder inside. We had to scrape this off the dosa. I have never seed this before in any dosa. The sambhar was not that tasty also, and only one chutney where other dosa places give you 2/3 chutneys. I personally think it was terrible. We only went there after recommendation from our friends, so we will be letting our friend know. Sorry, MTR, but I will not recommend your place, and you won't be getting my service again.

Craving for good dosa and MTR didn't disappoint us at all. I have been to MTR before in India, but my friends from Karnataka did say MTR in London is worth the try and as good as the original branch. We reached by 11am in Sunday morning which was there opening time so managed to get seat. Within few minutes we could see a rush and long que outside which says it all. Personal favourite rava idly- was trying it for first time , I was amazed by the texture and flavour. Will definitely recommend to try rava idly and benne masala dosa.

Had a long 2 hour intensive badminton session and when we reached here we were famished !! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance adorned the decor and was setting our pallets for a delightful journey. The menu is a diverse cuisine journey of south India with variety of dishes. We started with medu vada and classic masala dosa. The dosa was crispy, golden, and generously filled with a flavorful potato masala. Paired with the assortment of chutneys and sambar, it was an absolute treat. Next we had was podi dosa, which was a spicer version and reminds you of Andra Pradesh because they use the same podi masala. Thereafter we had paper masala dosa and chilli cheese dosa which had unique in their own way. Paper masala dosa had its crispiness alongwith the stuffing whereas chilli cheese dosa had its spiciness which we were craving for. All these items were made in ghee and not oil!! They have also got amazingly freshly brewed filter coffee if you have developed a taste for it. In dessert we had a final chocolate dosa, badam halwa and badam milk!! Trust me, the best badam milk i’ve had in recent years!! Helped me go down the memory lane. The service was impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who were more than happy to explain the dishes and make recommendations. The attention to detail, both in the food and the overall dining experience, truly sets MTR apart from the others in London. Shoutout to Krina who was a gem! Whether you’re a South Indian cuisine enthusiast or trying it for the first time, MTR Flavors promises an authentic and delightful experience that will leave you craving for more. I'd lost my mind the very moment I'd found out about the presence of an MTR in London. As someone who's grown up eating in the dimly lit old benched and with the scent of fresh coffee filter - MTR near Lalbagh in Bengaluru, this place is as authentic as it can get to my MTR. The masale dose melts in your tongue with the flavour packed potato palya, Sambhar and Chutney. The historically significant Rave dose and idli were just as delicious!! The only thing that can possibly never be recreated is the outer crispness and the crunchiness and the light and soft insides of the uddina vade. I was almost tempted to order a filter coffee just for the complete experience. But to my own dissappointment I don't drink coffee. The only bone I'd want to pick with the managers is for them to play kannada songs instead of Hindi. To be honest, I was disappointed. Just amps up the experience for kannadigas who seek home in tiny crevices of the places we visit. And also adds to the authenticity of the place to all non-Kannadigas and non-Indians looking for authentic and aesthetic places.

We are foodies and we travel a lot to try different restaurants. Visited this much hyped yet worthless place after driving for almost an hour and a half. What a colossal disappointment it turned out to be! Atmosphere: Place is small and cramped & pathetic seating arrangement. We were a family of 4 crammed into a corner with no scope to move chair. Understaffed and chaotic. Food- overhyped and tasteless. This place is nothing but a shame to the og MTR in Bengaluru. Benne masala is smothered with some mint chutney which makes it sweet. They won’t serve ghee with rava idli unless asked for it. They only serve one mint chutney with all the food which had no taste. The only thing we liked was poori with Saagu. MTR special filter coffee had nothing extraordinary about it. You get same filter coffee at Sarvana too. They claim onion rava masala dosa as MTR special and take a while to serve (its mentioned on the menu). However, when its delivered, it wasn’t MTR authentic at all. Rest everything was below average taste and underwhelming experience. Would never go there again. Overall, I’d say they are using MTR name but actually doing disservice to that brand. For south Indian food in London, it doesn't get much better than this. Bisibele bath is amazing.

We finally managed to have our MTR experience. It was worth the wait. Extremely thrilled to have the bangalore experience at a 10 mins drive from home. We ordered masala dosa, uddin vada, kesari bath, bonda soup and the filter coffee. All tasted great and kept up the MTR promise. Also was great to see more staff than before and the staff were extremely friendly!

Very good tasting food. With a good portion size. Recommended with family and friends. Ask for customisation if any, and they are happy to help, where possible.

An excellent place to have South Indian delicacies like dosa, idly, vada etc. We had bad experiences in many other South Indian restaurants where the food taste wasn't authentic. We really missed having idly-vada, which was our staple food back home. Here, idly-vada was just fabulous. Butter Masala dosa was delicious too. We also ordered Badam halva which was mouth watering. Filter coffee at the end, made a perfect breakfast after quite a while!

I got a coffee craving in Harrow so Googled nearest cafe and Ancona appeared. Made a quick scroll down the reviews which seemed to be favourable and found the place after a 12 minute walk. Ordered a Latte which was risky because a lot of cafes don't know how to make a latte and you often come away feeling like all you've consumed is hot milk. Not the case here however! The latte was excellent albeit too hot when it came (hence why not 5 stars) - but I let it cool a bit and was very satisfied overall.

We came from Australia and had a dinner at Dawat bar and kitchen and food was 10/10. Environment is so good and the vibes is amazing. All the staffs were very friendly and lovely. I highly recommend everyone here specially for food, live music and overall hospitality atmosphere.

Came here recently for dessert. Fast service, friendly staff, and great tasting ice cream made for another positive experience! Wasn't able to get the Baklawa ice cream as I hoped this time, so hopefully it'll be available next time.

Honestly the worst place ive ever been to. They must be paying for these other reviews. Avoid at all costs. They microwave days old food and it tastes horrible. Feels like youre eating plastic.
