Ancona Italian Coffee house in Harrow

I got a coffee craving in Harrow so Googled nearest cafe and Ancona appeared. Made a quick scroll down the reviews which seemed to be favourable and found the place after a 12 minute walk. Ordered a Latte which was risky because a lot of cafes don't know how to make a latte and you often come away feeling like all you've consumed is hot milk. Not the case here however! The latte was excellent albeit too hot when it came (hence why not 5 stars) - but I let it cool a bit and was very satisfied overall.

Great food . Great staff . Manager very nice . Pleasant all round. Highly recommended this place .

The best coffee shop in Harrow. The staff are all so friendly they are a credit to the management team. The coffee is amazing, and one of the best coffees I have had. My wife loves the hot chocolate as well. We have never eaten here, but the hot and cold food looks beautiful. I highly recommend Ancona.

This café on Station Road in Harrow is just a five-minute walk from the train station and offers a good selection of food and desserts. I recently visited and picked up two cakes, which were both delicious. The staff was friendly and eager to help when I asked for suggestions to choose the best cakes for my friend. While the café itself is straightforward, the quality of the food makes it worth a visit.

Does what it says on the tin. Very good coffee, great pastries, excellent service, reasonable value for money. Highly recommended.

Waiting for a bus so stopped fo a coffee plenty of snacks on sale sandwiches begets and make your own combo, staff good at their job.

We just popped in for a quick cuppuchino which was delicious. There is a huge selection of food for either breakfast or lunch and we will come back for a meal sometime in the future.

The food was good, and I didn't have to wait long.

This is a good cafe, well staffed and with a great selection of meals and snacks. The coffee is superb, the presentation fine. However..... There is a tendency for large groups of either pensioners or Romanians to gather occupying space over tiny purchases. It's what kids do when playing truant: something should be done about this Borough wide problem.

Today I went to Ancona Italian coffee house and I got 30 pasta pots take away we all loved it and it was so nice and got very good customer service from Claudia and Flori and they looked after us and we will go back again

A coffee shop and simple Italian food on the side of the road. Not expensive. You can sit and drink tea and coffee or have a main meal. It's delicious.

Authentic food, fantastic atmosphere AND the team is absolutely fantastic! I accidentally left my card there and the staff kept it safe for me until I returned later. Very happy!

A little bit of the Med in Harrow. Well-situated among the central shopping area, this is a highly popular place for a quality coffee, freshly squeezed orange from the fruit and a large array of Italian/Mediterranean light lunches, sandwiches, salads and breakfasts. I love this place and ot is much an oasis from all the chain store restaurants and endless samy Asian eateries...and I'm part Indian!!!

Ancona Coffee House is a busy restaurant near the centre of Harrow.You can get a coffee and cake,or a full meal for a reasonable price.The staff are very welcoming and nice.Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.A nice place to take your family and friends.

Lived in Harrow most of my life but only just started visiting this cafe. Staff are just amazing . Food and drinks delivered to your table . Nothing is ever too much for the staff and most important for me is the pipping hot drinks . No more luke warm Cafe Nero drinks for me

Cappuccino was lovely. Husband's moccha was equally lovely. Have been here several times with friends. Food is good. Wide variety. Service is good, even when really busy at lunch-time. Background music is a bit fluffy.

My wife and I visited this coffee house on 2 occasions on the lead in to Christmas. The first visit was delightful and worthy of a 5 star review. Service was excellent, friendly and the Lavazza coffee was very good indeed. The café had a pleasant atmosphere and was very clean and welcoming. We were so impressed that we visited again while shopping in Harrow a couple of days later. Quite a contrast. The lady, who we assumed ran Ancona was not there, and there were 3 members of staff sat chatting at a table. One of them did get up to serve us and was friendly enough and the coffee was still good. The biggest difference, however, was that almost every table was covered in used and uncleared cups, plates and cutlery and the table we sat at (one of the few clear of debris) had obviously not been cleaned. The photos show the cluttered tables. With 2 members of staff sat chatting I do not feel that this is acceptable and I wonder if the lady from 2 days before is aware of what goes on in her absence. Had our second visit been our first impression of Ancona we would not have returned.

Went down to London to see a concert and stayed in Harrow. By chance came across this gem, we had coffee’s there and decided to have breakfast too. The food was fresh, beautifully prepared and presented, and very tasty, I chose the classic breakfast. The choice of food is fantastic and the staff are really friendly and can not do enough to help, in essence the service is fantastic. The value for food is very good, overall I would very highly recommend this Italian cafe. Yet again this independent and clearly family run cafe has reaffirmed why local is always best . They simply try harder because they care and this shouted out loudly through the highest quality food and fantastic service . A gem of a place

Staff are rude shouting at customers slow service no customer skills what so ever unprofessional sad and an uncomfortable place to sit down relax and enjoy a coffee instead your Gona end up with a headache a kid this place at any cost you will regret going to Ancona harrow

Clean, clear board with easy to read prints. Display with presentation of items. Quick and efficient service. Advice on food offered during ordering. I loved that they had both the vegetarian and vegan options, some places assume that vegan will order vegetarian then remove things, that's not fair as you get less for the same price. Varied options. The food was nice and eggs totally runny just like I requested. I would have given full stars but mu hash browns were a bit soggy and the toasts not crispy. Good experience altogether. Will definitely come back. 👍🏾

Love the coffee n cakes here and always use when I shop in Harrow. My grandson loves having a treat after shopping and says the cakes are "the best" ever

I am sorry to say this but this “italian coffee shop” had nothing to do with this hospitality industry. I ate my lunch, food was average-lasagna too oily and salad cutted with knife(shouldn’t be cut with steel blade), in a big mess, tables being moved everywhere, metal scourers and table cloths on the floor, dirrty plates on a fridge, everything in the sight of us…Can’t you clean after you working hours?The boss lady prepared sandwiches without gloves, everything was a chaos. and there were two girls, who were running worst like for a marathon, that indicates slavery…for sure for minimum payment…I’m sorry for them…Girls are nice, polite, working like bees and boss just giving orders on rised voice..i’ve been working in this industry for 10 years and is a shame to treat people like this, now when England is in a big need of employees. Despite the fact that food is nice, coffee even more, i am not going back in a place where everything looks like apocalypse.Perhaps those girls should target something more adequate, to cut from roots this modern slavery for foreign people”. Great coffee shop with huge selection of cakes and pastries and good coffee. Staff were kind. Just tables could be a bit more clean, there were few still with crumbs and empty cups and it wasn't too busy. I would go again still

i’ve visited the shop today, 22nd , service was very nice, there were two lovely girls who served us, very nice coffee and the italian tiramisu is amazing. Whilst my visit, the girls never stoped cleaning, the coffee shop was immaculate , prices are decent, shop was very clean, mostly toilet and what impressed me was to see how the staff treated eldery people. Gig like for this location, for sure i’ll be back soon.

I went to the coffee shop Monday. Great service, fast, delicious taste. I ate an amazing panini, coffee with an almond biscuit, delicious. Staff very lovely, even if it was very busy in lunch time, the blonde manager helped me and made a table quickly and even hold on my baby when I need it to go to the toilet. Very polite and profesional. We received also treat on a house. Definately i’m coming there again. Very nice Christmas atmosphere, lovely carols, lovely girls, lovely food, lovely coffee. Visited the shop on Wednesday 4.15pm and ordered a coffee. Then wanted to use the toilet, and one of the workers had come out of the toilet, and put her hand up to say I couldn’t use it because she had just used dangerous chemicals!! I queried as to why she would use such a chemical when customers are in the shop? She raised her voice to me and said “would you pay me for staying late to clean it?”!!! I told her not to raise her voice at me .. and then told her to go and get trained in customer care !!! She shouted back at me and I asked to speak to the manager ! She said she was the Manager!! At that point I left and vowed to revisit to speak to the owner! And put a review!! Extremely rude and insulting Manager !!!!

I took my grandchildren here for lunch. The food selection is spectacular and good quality and a fair price. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is adult portion and a bit too big for children. The toilet facilities need some improvement. Over all this restaurant is great and value for money. I regularly go there for lunch when ever in Harrow. Appreciation and gratitude to all the wonderful staff.

I have been coming to Ancona Italian Coffee Hou for many years. The food is always fresh, the coffee is delicious, and the service is top notch. I can't say enough about this place, it's my favorite in town. Try the Tiramisu - it’s fantastic!

Wouldn't even give a star tbh..came here a year ago on my birthday which wasnt going so well to treat myself to a mango and peach/apricot smoothie. I watched them make it a literally put 90 percent apple juice ( which I dont like or drink anyway) into the jug and a few mango and peach pieces from the freezer. I should have stopped them there because all it tasted of was a cold apple juice. I didnt think my day could get worse any worse. Havnt been there since.

I am visiting for second time this coffee shop, and it's amazing service, very clean place and friendly staff, well done to the team.

Decent food for a decent price, service is extremely slow, while you wait (for ever) you can watch how "efficient" they are. it was about 70% full and it took about 1.5 hrs to have break fast (15 min for actually eating the rest is just waiting). update for the owner: it was about 7 months ago on a Saturday morning , I can try to find the exact time if it is still relevant.

Good food and reasonably priced. They serve a lovely vegetable lasagne and paninis. Nice desserts and good coffee. Only negative is that when they keep the door open you can smell the cigarette smoke! Not very nice.

Terrible service, it looks like it's from Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares: so unorganised, no wonder they got our (and other people's) order wrong. The food is OK: nothing more, nothing less. Medium cost. We are not going back.

Really excellent Italian style sandwiches (panini, focaccia, etc) with fresh ingredients and fairly quick service. Always a winner for lunchtime!
