Delicious food! First time visiting and was craving a dosa and some mushroom manchurian. The reviews on this place are no lie. Really enjoyed my meal.

One of the best south Indian places in London,tired of fake Indian restaurants in UK.Finally found a very authentic place with amazing food. The owner is a wonderful person and staff are good as well. These people are real.♥️ Their sambar is so good and we are ordering from this place back to back and the quality is consistent. Ammachi is our family favourite and emotion now🙏🙏

It's a small restaurant, but food and service is excellent!!

The price seems okie can do bit lower as it small cafe size and nothing to offer as atmosphere and veg thali is not available in the evening which absolutely makes no sense.

Ammachi delivered some really delicious pongal for a family event. Made for a group of 120 people. High quality and taste. Very thanks Guys.

Loved the menu.. so much to choose from and very authentic. Not limited to medu vada dosai and iddli, so many varieties! Loved the serving lady pratibha (if i got correctly) always smiling and responding! The taste is very nice and prices are affordable. Must try! Hope to visit over and over!

I was quite unsatisfied with the food I had today, which included a Dosa, a set of parotta and kurma, and two varieties of rice. The dosa was good, but the sambar and chutney were not. I was quite dissatisfied with the quality and flavour of the parota and kurma. The parotta was not fresh, and the kurma was watery and flavourless. Both varieties of rice lacked salt and flavour. Prices differed from those listed on the website, and the waitress requested payment in cash only. Packaging and standard of food was just average. Hopefully management will work on above points and improve the quality.

I came for late dinner with friends. We really enjoyed food and the staff was very friendly. I hope to be back soon. Highly recommended

We arranged outdoor catering with Ammachi on 12th November, for Diwali celebration with our friends and neighbours. The staffs were excellent and the South Indian dishes were delicious and freshly prepared dosas were mouth watering. The kesari was the icing On the cake. Staffs were nice, Srinivasan and his crew did a fabulous service for us, will go with them again.

I was looking forward to try this restaurant because of their reviews. I tried to place order through deliveroo. The prices stated are so much higher than the actual restaurant price. I mean charging £3.5 extra for every single dish is really off putting. I suggest the restaurant to rationalize it's delivery prices for better business.

Placed an order for a small function at home. We ordered Idly, Sambar and Coconut chutney. Srinivas was very helpful with the order, the packaging was excellent. The food was very tasty, all our guests loved it. Will definitely be ordering again Thank you to the whole team🙏

Excellent place for authentic South Indian breakfast at affordable prices. I had Pongal and filter coffee, perfect ones to start my day. Should definitely comment on the chutney; they were mind blowing. I myself am a chutney fan, and it tasted good there. Thick textured with the right taste. Service was wonderful with a friendly smile. Small, but clean and nice ambiance for a dine in.

On my way to Northwick Park I passed this restaurant and caught the words "idli" and "dosa" and I had to stop. The rava idli here is really first class and great value. I'm now full of rice and sunshine! This reminded me of the last time I ate rava idli at Mahabaripulam in Tamil Nadu. That must've been 2003, I think. I hope I can bring my daughter here to eat one day.

I am very very big time fan of South Indian food and hence at least three times a week I eat this food. I have tasted South Indian food from Indian Streets to Mumbai top restaurants and all London South Indian restaurants. I can say with my fullest confidence that Ammachi's Idli, vada, chatnis and especially sambhar are the best than anywhere I have ever tasted. Absolutely fantastic. I am big fan of Ammachi... I gotta say, Ammachi is the bomb for South Indian food! The Paneer Manchurian Dosa was spicy and crispy perfection, and the Uttapam was like a flavor explosion. But what really made my day was the awesome staff. Shivam, our server, was on top of his game and made us feel right at home. Plus, that Mango Lassi? To die for. If you're into South Indian eats and top-notch service, Ammachi's your spot. I'll be back for sure!

I have recently ordered food from Ammachi for a birthday party. The food was delicious. The price was affordable. The owner was flexible and communicated very well with me. All my guests were happy and it was plenty. I definitely recommend Ammachi to my friends. Well done and Good Luck

Service was tooo too slow, food was cold, nothing came in time, no service order or manner. Waiter needed a lot of training. They were more focused on takeaways.

Stopped there for an Indian breakfast and I was not disappointed. The food was very tasty. It was like home cooked breakfast. The service was pretty quick and the customer service was excellent. I enjoyed it very much and will definitely go again soon

One of the best idlis and medu vada. The masala dosa was absolutely delicious. All Freshly cooked. The chutneys were not as nice as other places I have eaten at. I think they can improve on the chutneys as the chutneys didn't have the authentic south Indian flavour. The service was so good especially from "Pratibha" . She was friendly and attentive and made sure all the customers were happy. I also did a take away of their fresh dosa batter for latter use. Thank you. Looking forward to trying some of other items on the menu.

Nice dosa place on Station Road. Service can be quicker than you'd expect. Dosas can also be a surprise - this time the surprise is how big they are.

Hands down the best South Indian restaurant I've tried. Dosa, Pongal are really good. There are many restaurants I've tried before i landed here. And this has beaten them all. Very polite and smiling staffs. Pongal is a hidden gem. Don't go to Saravana bhavan or A2B and burn your pocket. The only negative is the place to wash your hands as i eat with hands 😁 Thank you Ammachi ❤️

Today we had our dinner in this wee vegitarain South Indian Restaurant in Harrow. .It was about to close when were arriving and there were some guests and they were almost finishing their meals.But the received us without disappointing us so we would like to thank them first. They have variety of thosas and some other famous South Indian cusines.We had masala thosa and those were so delicious and not much oily as in some places. Customer service was excellent .I am sorry I cant remember the gent who was in the cash box .He is an ideal person for customer service.He welcomed us so warmly and quickly attentived to our order. Thy have partly open-kitchen but it does not disturb to their customers. There were two cheifs there were also very friendly with the customers and asked our feedback of the food we had Value for money.Clean and relaxed place to dine in.Highly reccomand this place . 😊

Food was delicious and yummy. I would like to suggest that if you going to visit there then don't forget to try their noodles. It is delicious and mouth watering.

I wouldn't say it was good. It was just an average place to have a Dosa. It takes a very long time for service. There are only 4 tables, a small place. Could do better though.

I've been twice to Ammachi; once for dinner with my family and once for breakfast. The staff are lovely, serving with a smile and the pride for their food shows. The flavours are rich and elevated by spice and herbs from being savoury or sweet alone. Both the presentation and taste are full of authenticity at a great price and generous portions. 10/10 recommend

We used to enjoy this place for healthy breakfast and good food, but now you can not get limited breakfast for dining in and I cannot finish unlimited breakfast with no point visiting this place again, used to love this place. Disappointed 🙁

I had panner masal dosa, noodles, panniyaram and Rose milk. Out of which the panner dosa and panniyaram was outstanding. Friendly staff, so kind and polite. The restaurant staff were from South India, so the food was perfect south Indian style. Which I love most. The taste blend with right amount of masala with correct quantity of hot pepper 🌶️. Also the staff/chef is flexible. I asked to reduce the spice and veggies in the noodles they did the same - which is good that we can customise food tasted if required. As of today they don't have rice/meals even lunch we have to go for tiffin items like dosa, etc as shown in the menu (photos added) Spend 31 pounds for a family (2 adults + 2 kids)

We went to this hotel today. Very worst experience. There is no customer service there. Noone in that restaurant have a heart to take the order or clean the table. This restaurant is no fit to run a dine- in because there is no handwash for the customer and customer is not welcomed to eat in.

No space no hospitality no welcoming attitude No ownership No toilet / separate hand wash you need to go in to the kitchen Dirty No smiles Disgusting Unbelievably slow response I would never ever recommend this stupid place even to my worst enemy I did not order anything I was waiting in my table with my family for someone to take the order then I walked away with my Bcos this place is not worth to spend time. if you don’t know what the heads and tails of hospitality business please refrain from operations one! Stop spoiling the culture and ethics aid Tamil ppl! Change yourselves for good or shut the hotel business and go do something better and worth!

What a find!! It was nice to visit this place and have good South Indian breakfast. The food tasted good and was fresh. They also have unlimited breakfast. It can be a bit crowded but if you are can wait sometime it’s a great one yo visit.

Takes a long time to deliver the order. Need a Toilet and Hand-wash area. Very Tasty and Good quantity food . They even give Dosa Batter.

First visit to Ammachi. Blown away. All restaurants offer good Dosa and idli, but you rarely get the taste of our chutney(s) like in our homes and home town restaurants. Good portion idlis and dosas. One other best part of this place is the Vada, made fresh. My family loved every bit of the dishes we ordered. The Madurai Mallipoo Idli and Ven Pongal were a class apart. Will be visiting soon for Pudukottai Parotta and Vadakari. Fresh food from Madras! Perfectly steamed rice dumplings with the delicately balanced sauces to go with, the dosas are pretty amazing too. I loved the fact that the food unlike many restaurants was freshly made and the buttermilk was the simplest and best I have had in a while! This restaurant is reasonable, the food spot on for what it is and the staff are very polite and helpful. Recommended!

Tasty South Indian food, quick service and fair prices. Weekday unlimited breakfast is for £7.99 and weekend unlimited breakfast is for £8.99. Lots of options to choose from such as idli, medu vada, pongal, upma, kesari etc. Served with Sambar and three types of chutneys. A la carte menu available as well. Idli was particularly good because of its fluffy texture. They offer limited take out breakfast for under £5.00 as well.

Breakfast at Ammachi...what a way to start the day! 🤩 From dosa to idli and from vada to upma, Ammachi has something for everyone! And the staff? Nothing but top-notch service, especially from Pratibha. The only downside...we were so excited to dig in that we forgot to take pictures! But rest assured, we'll be back soon for another visit.

I have had the best mysore masladosa, here, staff and chefs have been very friendly and kind, dosa is real crispy on the outside with right amount of masala and very refreshing flavours mixed with right amount of mint and garlic, the chutneys are really tasty. Kumbakonam coffee is really well made with right proportions, most restaurants get it wrong. Pradeepa is the staff who served us and real nice and patient person with a receiving smile and care for customers Highly recommended this to anyone will visit again.

We had a lovely breakfast there. Had medu vada which was soft and crispy. The podi ghee masala dosa was a delight. We had tea and filtered coffee to finish a wonderful breakfast. It is not a big restaurant but I would recommend trying it and not to go by looks. The staff were very nice and friendly.

Overall, I had a fantastic experience at this Tamil restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious and authentic South Indian cuisine. I can't wait to come back and try more of their dishes! The service was also exceptional, with the staff (Sriram and Anand) being friendly and attentive throughout my meal.
