Really lovely Turkish food, and very polite staff. We forgot to take pictures of the food but it was well presented and tasted fantastic! Nice location near to the Knap and we couldn’t understand why it wasn’t more popular! Would recommend.

My first visit with my daughter, husband, and grandson Frankie. It's practically their local haunt, and as Turkish food enthusiasts, they're regulars. Now I see why! The service was top-notch from the moment we stepped inside until we rolled out about an hour later. We might have gone a bit overboard ordering three dishes, as you can tell from my photos. What we managed to eat was absolutely delicious, and as soon as we all declared 'we're done', they magically produced a container for the leftovers. Talk about knowing their customers! 👍🏼

Lovely restaurant, great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. Food was perfect, best mixed grill I have ever had - the portions are very generous too. Well worth the price! All of their meat is halal.

This place is wonderful, the service is very good and the atmosphere is great. The restaurant is busy and you do need to book in advance. There are plenty of choices on the menu and very reasonable prices. Food was very tasty and excellent quality and beautifully presented, taste was excellent. Well, it's worth a visit, and we will go back again. Well, we did go back again and had a wonderful meal and great atmosphere. They have built a new conservatory, which is fabulous. The food was again beautifully cooked and very well presented, the staff were very helpful and friendly. What a team, Mehmet runs a wonderful restaurant with a great team around him. Every time we have been there, the food and the service are wonderful, and it is always a pleasure to eat here.

Wonderful place great location warm attentive staff superb food I had the chefs special lamb stuffed with mushrooms and cheese, the Baklava had sold out so I plumped for the pistachio and almond sponge cake and all washed down with a bottle Effes beer, If your in Barry I recommend you treat yourself/ves

Great place to take someone who loves Mediterranean food. The food was delicious, authentic and the portion sizes are perfect. The staff are both attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Will definitely be going back.

Food was outstanding and the service lovely, attentive but not invasive. You do pay more than other establishments but the quality is there. Starters, mains, puddings all lovely. Highly recommended

The food was delicious and not too pricey. The service was quick and the staff very helpful. There was a good atmosphere with the 85'ers singing in the front. Shame it was ruined by some warbling women who joined them. Would seek it out another time.

The food was amazing, the meat just melted in your mouth. I really enjoyed my meal. The location was beautiful and perfect. The customer service was excellent, especially with Sedat, who patiently explained the dishes and made sure everything on the table was spot on. He was very kind and friendly. Thank you, Sedat!

Our work team had a dinner at Usta today, and it was a fantastic experience! Everyone loved their food. The portions were generous, the spices were flavorful without being overpowering, and both the meat and chicken dishes were cooked to perfection - tender and juicy. The staff at Usta were also excellent. They were friendly and attentive, and they even offered us a discount because we were a large group. We all left feeling satisfied and happy, and we will definitely be returning to Usta again soon. Highly recommended

Very disappointed food was bland every dish was oily and worst thing was we ordered the seafood casserole and over half the dish was mushrooms, service and atmosphere was good.

Lovely lamb and salmon with a great Turkish red wine that suited the food perfectly. Rice and salad delicious too.The baklava was perfect. Great service from the moment we arrived. Would definitely recommend and will be back

Came here on Valentines Day with my friend and we loved it. The staff are so attentive and really helpful. Food was really nice however it is more expensive than other Turkish restaurants I've been to and I would say the food was on par. But the location and staff pretty much make up for it so I would definitely go back!

I booked a table at the restaurant to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend. The food was delicious and I would go as far to say it was the best Turkish restaurant we have ever been to! All the staff were very welcoming and all provided a high level of service throughout the whole evening. We were even provided with a complimentary glass of bubbles to finish the evening off 🥂 I would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant! It definitely deserves 5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing to find such a great place serving on a Sunday evening. The service was friendly and warm, the food outstanding and a lovely glass-fronted dining room with a view across the bay to the pleasure park with its ferris wheel and sparkling lights. Don't miss a chance to eat at Usta.

We went when it was quiet we were the only ones in the restaurant, but the food was amazing would definitely recommend you visit and the menu is reasonably priced 😀

Booked a table for Christmas day. Beautiful restaurant inside and a lovley location. The staff was ever so polite even the owner came to greet us and had a little chat. We orderd some cold mazes for starters.chicken sheesh and grilled salmon 😋. Food was very tasty. I orderd some Turkish tea and the baklava was on the house. Highly recommend this restaurant 👌

An absolutely wonderful birthday meal! There were 11 of us and the welcome and service was great. The food was delicious and the staff could not do enough for us. The whole evening was fabulous and we will definitely be back! Thank you Usta.

Excellent service although some of the seating is in an enclosed area it was a bit draughty. Food was good.

Nice lamp wrap with yoghurt. Just not on par with other turkey restaurants i have been to however everything else about the place is perfect.

4/11/23 Had a wonderful meal once again at Usta. Hot platter followed by Usta special of lamb with mixed peppers. Both delicious and a great bottle of red. Staff are so friendly and attentive. It was like I died an went to heaven! I've never been to a michelin star restaurant, but I imagine it tastes like this place. Phenomenal food! A very well done to all the staff and chefs👏

Fantastic evening celebrating birthday with the family including 4 kids and a baby. Everyone demolished their food. Very popular with people so book ahead.

8 of us went for food for my son in laws birthday, the staff were friendly & attentive, always making sure we were OK. Food was delicious & good size portions. They played music & brought a dessert with candle for the birthday boy, so thoughtful. He was embarrassed but really enjoyed. Thanks for making us feel so welcome.

Lovley food, reasonably priced, Excellent location overlooking Barry Island

We sat outside and had a great Turkish meal. Three course for 2 adults and 1 child cost ~£100 with a couple of drinks each. The food was excellent, staff were attentive but gave us enough space too and were engaging with my son which made his happy. Would definitely recommend, especially the hot platter starter and yoghurt lamb shish!

Love a restaurant that has knowledge of what they are serving. Good size portions and quick service. Arrived ravenous, left feeling like a whale. But it was worth it.

Came here hungry and ordered loads of food, instantly regretted it! the portions were huge but oh my god it was so nice. I had the yoghurt lamb and my partner had the lamb on toast. We’d also had a starter which was the cold mixed platter which came with warm crispy bread. Staff were really friendly, dare I say a bit too attentive? But not a complaint, just an observation. Def coming back.

Just had another amazing meal with friends at USTA. Staff are lovely, brilliant service so friendly. The vegetarian options are amazing but maybe needs another vegan main option. The homemade baclava is superb 😋

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Usta Turkish Restaurant in Barry. I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, as I had heard good things about it. I was not disappointed! The food was absolutely amazing. I started with the hot mezze platter, which was a generous serving of a variety of Turkish mezze dishes. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the flavors were incredible. I especially loved the sucuk and grilled halloumi. For my main course, I had the mixed grill. This was a huge plate of grilled meats, including lamb, chicken, and salad. The meat was cooked to perfection. The service at Usta was also excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive, and they were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Turkish meal.

We went for lunch at Usta today, it’s our second time dining here and the food and service was excellent. We chose to have the two sharing platters as a tapas selection and the food tasted so fresh & it was a generous portion for two sharing. We will 100% be back as the value equaled the quality of food & service

Made our first visit this week with some overseas visitors and none of us were disappointed. We all ate different dishes that were great value for money and very good portion sizes, not forgetting all dishes were tasty and excellently cooked. A very relaxed atmosphere with waiter never far away. A first class restaurant in Barry that we will certainly visit again.

Friendly and attentive service, best bit was the lovely gentleman that kept a close eye on my wine glass and topped me up when needed :) Food was really tasty! To start we had the spicy sausage and the filo feta parcels, which were yum! For main I had the lamb shish and hubby had the mixed grill. Both came with rice and a salad…we cleared the plate, really full of flavour! Would definitely recommend and we’ll return too! The price we spent included wine and a beer.

Great food with attentive and polite service. Good size portions that were served hot and was great to see it busy, especially with a lot of food venue closures in the news. It's definitely a positive addition to Barry. The only suggestion would be to lower the lights to make a more cosy ambience. Would definitely return and recommend.

Great place! Went in a large group, food was amazing, service excellent, really couldn't have done more for us. Child friendly, went the extra mile and often asked if our 9 month old needed anything. Would highly recommend.

Highly recommend this restaurant, the food is delicious, well prepared and generous. The ambience is chic yet comfortable and friendly and the staff are fantastic. We were a group of 12 of all ages from 5 to 70, there was something for everyone.
