Usmaniyah in Pendle

Went to this takeaway one Thursday evening,we phoned ahead to order and collect the food. The poppadoms were nice but the onions and chutney were very small,the onion badgies were delicious but the lamb teaka roll was very greasy and over cooked.

By far the best Indian food world wide. We been fortunate enough to have travelled and taken up residence in more Than one country. Never have we experienced Indian food like this from a little Shop in a town called barnoldswick. Absolutely the best ever. Incredible and has never changed over the years

Fab take away! Staff are very friendly. Open kitchen so you can watch whilst they cook. Delicious food and good portions. Chicken breast is cut into large chunks. All dishes great. Recommend trying.

Excellent food and friendly staff. The tandoori mix grill is amazing 👌 If you like Indian food you have to try this place 🙂

Really good food, and service is above and beyond. Try their Handi special 😍 Couldn’t fault their food at all. 100% recommended

I witnessed staff handling food after handling money without washing or sanitising their hands, totally not acceptable

Overpriced poor quality food, very poor covid awareness. I watched a member of staff licking his fingers & thumb in order to separate the plastic bag that he was then filling with salad using his licked fingers & thumb !!! I've since discovered that their hygiene rating was one out of five stars, but at the time of writing has just been upgraded to three. We will not return nor recommend.

Visited this takeaway on new years eve. The food was very tasty however the food hygiene was appalling. Raw prawns were being cut up on the vegetable chopping boards (brown) then vegetables and chillies were cut up on the same board. Also the yellow chopping board (raw fish board)was used to chop fresh vegetables. Very rarely did the staff wash their hands after handling different food types. I would be really concerned if I had a food allergy. It's such a shame as the food hygiene act has been in place since 1994 and the take away has been operating for 20 year. I'm not surprised to find out it only has a 1 star rating

Been living here for about 6 months now and normally use the other Indian restaurant. I am so glad that we decided to try the Usmaniyah take away. Probably one of the best lamb karai i have had. The whole meal was awesome 👌 when collecting the food i checked out the open kitchen and it looks very clean. Definitely my new favourite indian take away.

Wow the food here was amazing. Great price and the staff were very polite. Highly recommend. Great food and a great price.
