One member of staff was very rude which ruined the experience. The last hole would not register with my club. I was accused of missing a hole out and told I would need to play the hole again and queue up again for the final hole. When I refused she stormed off with my club and virtually threw it at me when she returned. She also muttered something under her breath. I don’t expect this when I had paid to have a day out with my family!

A really fun day out. We have older kids and it's hard finding things to do with them and when we came across this, we had to give it a go as we were big fans of the show. It did not disappoint. The games are a lot harder than it seems. Was worried as it felt expensive but well worth it when you get there.

We had booked 18 holes at the crazy golf for yesterday, but when we got there we could only do 9 holes due to a technical issue. The staff were really apologetic, gave us free drinks vouchers & refunded us the difference. We did the 9 holes which my girls loved, will deffo return.

I came here with my friend for a chilled night out and I must say George (I think he’s a manager) was so friendly, informative, knowledgeable and always had a smile on his face. (I also liked his dance moves). Drinks were nice, had a wide variety and food was delicious, shout out to the chefs for cooking amazing burgers and chicken.

Lily was such a great host, her openness made me feel comfortable with asking her multiple questions!

Luke was incredibly helpful, such a wonderful guy, as are all the staff here. The best time we had

The is a great place if you visit when it's not so quiet (I went when my son on Thursday, 1pm) . I thought that we would be partnered up with another pair, as stated on the website at the time of booking, but we ended up doing the cube on our own which just wasn't as much fun as I'd expected (having been before, with a large group of friends on a busy Saturday afternoon , which was really fun and exciting). We paid £42 each and the experience was done in less than 1 hour and the we us going slow in between each cube. So it was a lot of money for not that much entertainment. Had we been against another pair, it would have taken longer which would have felt more worth the cost. It's a well run place and staff are nice, though given how quiet it was, they could have been a bit more generous with the odd tiny practice here and there.

We booked the cube game as me and my partner were up in Manchester for the weekend. Our booking was for 2pm and we didn’t officially get started till 2.30 due to it being quite busy on a Saturday afternoon. Coats and bags can be stored for free in their cloakroom so you don’t have to drag your things around which was a plus. It was quite loud so can be hard to hear when staff are explaining things to you for each of the games. In addition it was boiling so we were getting a bit restless after standing waiting to start our games after other people. Nonetheless after we got going eventually we had a drink and got round a few of the cube games and thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely come back again it was nice to do something different!

4 of us went to play the cube today and it was honestly brilliant! All of us had a great time and it’s run so well! Will 100% return to do it again. Great day.

Highly recommend the cube experience in Urban Playground. Upon entrances it looks super cool but gives a feel of unorganised and busy HOWEVER it’s so well organised it’s great. Scan your QR code, you get told what game next to go to and you scan as you go round so it’s never long wait times. The games are fantastic and feel very much like it looks on tv. we had a fantastic time.

What a great place for a laugh. Well priced and loads of fun. Cocktails are amazing here, value for money is great, they are strong! We were served by an amazing bartender Sal, great recommendations and made beautiful cocktails. True gentleman.

Honestly shocked at how good this place is, I really really enjoyed it, games are soo good just like the tv show , brings out your competitiveness , I loved how there’s tables at each of the activities and you can take your food and drink round with you , the games are brilliant , 4 of us went and we loved it will 10000% be coming back.

We booked the 2 games but didn't get chance to do the second one because it was so busy. For the game we did play it was really fun. Definitely some inconsistencies in the scoring but it's all fun.

While the cube is undoubtedly a fun and good experience, the price does not justify the activity. The cube autoselects which missions you will have and only 7 out of the 12. When there's only 2 of you, your time is up within 20 minutes. All 12 cubes should be included at the very least! The online menu differed to the in-house menu so had to eat elsewhere. Overall a disappointing experience.

We played the golf, was great fun and all digital. Helpful and attentive staff. They had a live DJ and plenty of choice for drinks. We were welcomed at the door which was nice and my only complaint was that it was very warm inside.

Myself and partner visited “The cube” on a weekend away. It was all amazing fun and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, providing an exciting atmosphere. The only downfall would be that you do not compete in all games available there and that you don’t choose which one’s you do. Overall fun and would definitely recommend for something competitive and different to do.

Same for sons birthday he did putters with his friend and they had a really good time will go back again

Overall we had a fun time and it was something different for us to do. The couple we were paired with had to leave suddenly but we were allowed to carry on and play their game too. The negatives would be that it was incredibly hot in there (mid February) and we felt there was quite a bit of waiting around to play the next game. Having said that, it did allow you to watch other teams and see how they did each game before having a go yourself, so could be seen as a positive too. We would recommend it to others and would still return.

My 14yr old son and I had a great day at Urban Playground. We spent a total of 4 hours there playing The Cube and then the 18-hole Putters game. Fantastic venue, friendly, helpful, enthusiastic staff. Will definitely be back again soon!

Came here with the kids and we all absolutely hated it. We had to queue three times just to get to the top floor which took about an hour and this was a week day. Then the crazy golf course was ridiculously complicated and our golf clubs wouldn’t register on the proximity sensor meaning that our scores were all wrong, people were pushing in or hogging each stage of the game so we waited an hour in some cases and wasn’t even able to finish the course. Eventually we just gave up and left. Having said all that, the venue looks amazing and wouldn’t mind coming back to try one of the other games

Visited on Saturday and was fairly underwhelmed by the experience. The venue was packed and we had booked online 9hole crazy golf. Staff were friendly and directed us upstairs. However it was that busy we couldn’t work out where to go once upstairs or what to do. We had to ask other customers. We eventually queued for the golf and it was a good interactive game but a 20/25 min queue for the last hole was silly. One family walked out and they didn’t have time to wait. It took around 50 mins to play the game purely down to the amount of people queuing. If you are on a time schedule, I would not recommend.

The idea is really good, however some shots not counting (resulting in whole in ones) instead of 3 shots, clubs not registering so having to switch clubs and then on the final hole where you have to try and get as many points as possible the ball was stuck for half of the time until a member of staff released it, so we didn't get a true reflection of who won the game. It's ruined the experience abit but the parts that worked were fun.

Complete waste of time. Sensor on brassies, dont count shots, specially soft, light shots. Some of the bonus points dont work so if u add x2 points, most likely u will loose all game. In terms of competing - worst experience to choose

We visited The Cube at Urban Playground on Thursday 13th February, and while the concept has a lot of potential, the overall experience left us a bit disappointed. Positives: The games themselves are great – just like on the TV show. If you're a fan, it's exciting to step inside and take on the challenges. The 2v2 format works well if you have four players. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, and the bar staff on the day were fantastic. It's a great idea, and with a few tweaks, it could be a brilliant experience. Negatives: Price – At £42.50 per person, it felt overpriced, especially considering the limitations in gameplay. Game Selection – You only get to play 7 of the 12 available games, chosen at random. For the price, you should be able to play all of them or at least have a way to play the ones you missed in a future visit. Waiting Time – A significant portion of the experience is spent waiting for other teams to complete their games. The QR check-in system is frustrating because only one team can scan at a time, leading to queue-jumping and unnecessary delays. A simple queueing system would work much better. Game Participation – Some games are single-player, which means two out of the four in a team don’t get to play. It would be much fairer if each person got three lives instead of a shared pool. Visibility & Pressure – Some of the harder games are set up in the bar area, meaning everyone waiting for their turn (or having a drink) is watching you play. This makes the experience feel a bit intimidating. Temperature – The whole venue was uncomfortably hot, with no ventilation or air conditioning. We had fun, but the format needs work. A system where you can book and pay per game (like Roxy Ballroom) or a structured round-by-round format (like crazy golf) would be a big improvement. As it stands, it’s not worth a repeat visit when you can’t guarantee a different set of games.

We contacted The Cube to host our annual commercial kick off. They were fantastic start to finish to arranging and then hosting all 30 of us with welcome drinks, the game, followed by excellent quality buffet food. We put a tab behind the bar and the team were excellent in letting us know how much we’d spent and updating us on their last orders! The host at the beginning Jude was very accommodating and the host throughout Leon kept up the energy! Also shout out to TJ and Jack on the bar who were just all around good fun and very helpful to us all! Thanks again, strongly recommend for a corporate event

Music was way too loud so having to shout like in a nightclub. Reasonably priced for crazy golf.

As a family we had a great time, some cubes are better than others and take longer to complete. Well organised though and not waiting long between cubes.

Fabulous golf. We played the 9 hole golf as 18 holes was not open until the evening. So much fun, the design of the holes was funky and fun and we loved the technology. All the tech worked perfect for us, kept our scores up to date and double points always worked when selected. Would have loved to do the 18 holes so will definitely go back again!

Great experience had so much, really immersive. Staff were amazing, Matt H made the games so much more fun great hosting.

Went midweek so would be quieter. No queues moving around the courses but still a good buzz and chatter from other groups. Won both games. Will be going back.

We came here with a group of 8 work colleagues on a Wednesday afternoon. I think we were lucky that it was very quiet when we were there, so we didn't have to wait long to get started, and we barely had any waiting times between games. We were split into 2 groups of 4 people The staff were all excellent and clearly enjoyed their jobs. They gave us a good introduction to how the process worked, and once we set up the teams/names they then appeared on the big screens to tell us which first game to go to. There is a staff member who explains how to play each game, then when you finish the game the screen tells you where to go to next. There are 9 cubes in total but you only get to play 7 games. Most are 2 player games, and some are single player. The cubes we played were all great fun. Mixture of physical and memory games, and some we beat and others we didn't. You get 3 tries on each cube and it was fun learning how to do the games better each time. We all had a great time and it was a very enjoyable 2 hours with work colleagues. I understand the games require the staff to oversee them which obviously adds to the cost, but I would say based on the price it was an expensive experience. I probably wouldn't have paid to go myself, but as a work/team event I would highly recommend it. And I would happily go back and play again!

Always a good time when we come here. Only problem we had was it was mega busy. We spent most of our 3hrs there, either waiting for the next hole or for drinks. Think they would benefit from reducing capacity

I was really excited to visit The Cube in Manchester, but honestly, it was a huge disappointment. The place was ridiculously overcrowded, which completely ruined the experience. We spent more time waiting around than actually playing the games. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and everything moved at a snail’s pace. If they limited the number of people inside or managed the flow better, it could be a fun experience. But as it stands, it’s just an overpriced, frustrating waste of time. Definitely wouldn’t recommend unless you enjoy standing around for hours, we ended up walking out before we even got to play one game.

We very much enjoyed The Cube experience, although we didn’t win many of the games, it was still fun would definitely recommend

Had a great time today upstairs at the Potters bar enjoying some ‘tech-golf’. The course was great and the staff very helpful despite being really busy. Special mention to Pippa and Owen who were working on the bar today, they kept us well refreshed and had great drink knowledge. There was a young lad DJ’ing who was playing some great songs while we played the course. Would definitely recommend for couples and groups looking for a fun activity in the city centre.

Didn’t allow pictures or funny names on the golf profiles, and a dissarono and coke was £9. Mate’s real name is Floyd Gibbs and didn’t let him have “GFloyd”. Also, the music is just a collection of classics butchered via tasteless remixes. The “18 holes” is just 2 laps of one of two 9-Hole courses.

The cube is amazing and I will be back soon for sure. I don’t think anyone is a fan of losing especially after naming their team dubsincoming. however it’s ironic despite losing to the other team this experience was the most fun I have had in ages and my host Frankie made the whole experience smooth to a tee.
