Urban Playground in Manchester

Staff were great, helped when stick wouldn't calibrate and prices were great. Highly recommend as suitable for both small groups and larger ones. Prices were good too

We were here on Saturday evening for a fun-filled few hours! We played a round of the most techy mini golf. We hadnt booked online but thankfully able to fit us in. The guy taking our booking and the girl telling us how it worked both were extremely friendly and helpful. We then had a few drinks (brambles for me, beer for himself) and the service at the bar was exceptional - especially from Ethan! And the drinks delicious 😊 Music and vibe is very very good! Will definitely come back here when back in Manchester to play the Cube as it looked really fun!

We had a great time here, brilliant fun and great drinks. Jake helped us get booked in and he was so helpful and easy to talk to.

Fantastic place, we played the golf we did the 9 holes but wish we payed more for all 19 holes. No need for score cards and pencils as the putters register your score. We had problems at first with our friends putter as not registering his shot and staff where very to sort it out, the other 2 where fine. Would love to have stayed and played cube but need 4 players and got a bite to eat. Drinks could be cheaper as a pint of bier merreti was just over £6 bit steep. Staff are very friendly helpful. There is a free cloakroom if your playing the games.

It was Absolutely amazing visiting the cube. My partner is difficult to please at times but he really loved it. It’s Well worth the money. The staff working the cubes were great too! It was very busy on a Saturday night but it was still very enjoyable. The staff do have a lot on however were still happy to record us. The team we were up against did record us too but for us, we were relying on a strangers camera skills which were not good at all. I do think it would be great to have a phone stand hooked to the staff box for each cube, it’s a very simple thing which I think would improve it a little as I’m gutted some of our good games as a pair didn’t get recorded or were badly done 😢 None the less Thanks for a great game! We will be back with friends!

Went to pay for my friends and I and it charged me an extra 5% on my credit card - as it said it was a corporate card. It wasn't. And even it it was, no card merchant takes 5%. Complete rip off.

Lots of fun, went here with work. Things got very competitive! Great place for a work social and staff are very friendly.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the urban playground, we played the digital golf one day and then the cube another day. The staff here can not do enough for you, they are so helpful, friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were 5 🌟 I’m hoping I’ve remembered the names right, huge thank you to Jess and Romeo … sorry if the names are wrong! We will definitely be back with others to enjoy this experience.

First visit here and we had so much fun. Enjoyed playing the golf on the putters side. The carnival theme with bonuses makes the traditional crazy golf much more interesting and competitive. Watching people playing the cube is also good fun.

Great experience. We played as a 5 and 4, due to our numbers. We alternated games so we could watch each other which worked out great. Would certainly recommend for families, friends, work colleagues. It was good fun!

First time here. The crazy golf experience was fantastic! One of the best activities we've done so far. A unique twist on your usual crazy golf. Each hole has its unique challenge, including the opportunity for double points. Wonderful place, extremely pleasant. A fantastic day out. Shout out to Jess who works here she was friendly. Wonderful value. We had so much fun. I recommend it.

We did The Cube as a pair with Holly as our host. She was brilliant and we had an awesome time! Plenty of opportunities to have a break between rounds to grab a drink, and lots of laughs both in and out of the games. Would 100% recommend for couples and larger groups

I booked The Butcher for food and Putters golf for my 50th birthday celebration. We had a group of 17, one of whom had a severe allergy to gluten and peanuts. The service and food at The Butcher was exceptional and all well prepared in time for our large group. The golf was ideal as we could spread out across all nine holes and complete the course in any order. The staff were fabulous, we will definitely be back! Thank you!

Brilliant place, very welcoming and extremely fun and updated. I just wish there was another course of golf as there is only 9 holes so the 3 of us got it done in 30mins and was quite sad it was over. Overall we will definitely go again but would possibly plan something else alongside it just to fill up the day more.

Really disappointed with my visit to Putters today. Paid for 9 holes for a group of 5. One club failed on the first hole which took some time to replace. Second hole, and many of our group had technical issues (one player awarded a hole in one for 7 shots taken, another took one shot that got counted as 5). The rest of the course continued in the same theme, with the scoring being quite randomso we gave up taking note and just tried to have fun. The final hole looked great but totally broke for one of our players whose ball got stuck in the machine. The only guy on duty was very polite, kept apologising and offering to reset/correct scores or let us start again but we didn't have time, plus we had people behind us waiting. All in all a sad waste of £40 for less than half an hour of using broken tech. Avoid.

Played the cube - expensive but good as a one off thing.

We went to Putters yesterday and unfortunately, it wasn't the best experience. The mechanics of the game are sub-optimal and really put a dampener on the experience. The final holes on the first course course kept malfunctioning. The staff did restart the game but again, it malfunctioned and had to restarted for a second time. The final hole on our second game malfunctioned on the group before us - to which the staff again were very attentive and restarted the game. Though this resulted in us having to wait a fair while to complete our game too - despite choosing a quieter time to play for avoid this. We had paid to play 18 holes, though didn't have a choice in which courses to play, as the third course was actually closed - presumably due to malfunction too. Many of the tee off points were damaging, meaning the clubs were getting caught on the floor. As a high-tech course and the only one in Manchester, I would expect better quality assurance to be carried out. We were given some vouchers for a free drink - although we had just purchased our drinks so didn't end up using them. We were also given a 15% off voucher for future use but I can't justify even paying that amount of money whilst the courses aren't fit for purpose. It would be great to see the issues dealt with to make it a more enjoyable experience for all. However, the staff very absolutely fantastic. They were very attentive throughout our time at Urban Playground, from the moment we walked in, to getting drinks and dealing with the equipment issues. Each and every member of staff we interacted with are a credit to the company and should be recognised for their excellent customer service and troubleshooting.

Really good experience, well set up and good if you’re looking for something different to do. A bit on the expensive side but as a one - off or treat I would recommend.

Could not recommend this enough! It was so much fun and the atmosphere just makes the whole experience even better. Really gets you into a competitive mood. A little on the pricey side but I would definitely visit again

Massive queue to check in even though we had a time slot booked, when we got to the front the people in front of us who had just paid no booking took the last club's available so had to wait again. Too many people on the course groups of 8+ all doing sane hole. Every hole was a wait which took away from the experience. Would go again but would avoid on weekends/public holidays as numbers clearly weren't limited. The concept is very good but lacking organisation, having to check in and out for each course so no collective score for 18 holes.

The cube game show experience felt like it flew by. I feel for the price you should offer more games. Taking into account the single player games each player only gets to play a fraction of the games. There should be a review of the format to increase the chance of repeat custom. In this economic climate £45 is a lot Of money. I would return if I got to play some more games

The concept is brilliant, and the Cube is great. However, we booked for 6 people and were not told that 4 was the maximum in a group. This meant two of the group had to do it on their own. We were told that this would not impact on the day as we could still walk round together and watch each other. This is not the case. We ended up on different activities, and when it is your turn, your name flashed on the board. If you miss this, you go to the back of the queue, and it could make the day very long. Some of the staff were great and really put there all in. Others were just really flat. Drinks are expensive! 5 single gin and tonics were over £60. This was bog standard gin as well. We booked for 12, and they told is to arrive 30 minutes before we were then told that our game would not start until 2.30. This is clearly a ploy to get you to buy drinks and/or food. This could be excellent, but they have really missed a trick in the logistics of it. We all loved the games, and it was a laugh, but we felt like we ended up leaving two of the group out.

Beer bit pricey. But the course is a nice Morden take on mini golf would recommend

Very unique! Booked Putters last minute for me and 11 year old son and it did not disappoint. We did 18 holes and loved the electronic scoring - very clever! Really fun evening out, would recommend :-)

We played the mini golf here last weekend as a group. We had a great time. We loved the fact that the clubs kept count of your score which can be a pain when playing!! We were going at a good pace but then felt rushed as other couples came behind us

Played The Cube with two people: £90 for ~15 minutes gameplay and you could make all the games with tennis balls in your back garden for free. You pay per person but half the games are single player so half of the group doesn't even get to play..? Friendly and enthusiastic staff but the overall experience was disappointing.

First time here and thoroughly enjoyed it.. Great concept and fun for most age groups, great for family get together as we did. Good selection of beers on offer too

Had a great time playing the mini golf here today. The points and double options is an interesting twist on your classic mini golf. Plenty of drinks to choose from, good atmosphere, played 9 holes and would come back for the other 9 soon. Thanks to Myiesha for being an excellent host!

Went to putters for my birthday, it was good fun with a different spin on your typical crazy golf. Each hole having its own challenge with the option of double points. Regret not booking 18 holes! Will definitely return in the future.

An absolutely amazing experience! Hats off to all the staff they were all enthusiastic and invested in giving us an unforgettable experience. The games were very fun and I like that there is a big variety of tasks. I didn’t eat any food at the venue because I had just had a big dinner before arriving but I was very impressed with halal and vegetarian options available and it did smell very tempting. All in all I can’t think of any reason why I should rate my evening anything less than 5 star.

The experience was good, but the person showing us around was called Zara, and she was honestly amazing! Really friendly, funny and informative, and is also secretly a very talented pianist. Would definitely return 🙂

The games are great fun! It is a little expensive though at £50+ per head and the drinks are extortionately priced (£20 for 1 can of beer and a gin & tonic)

Had a great time at the golf, a fun twist on classic mini golf. Originally only booked 9 holes for the one course, but after seeing the other two booked them too. Staff were lovely and chatty, and even opened the third course for us knowing we wanted to play!! Can’t say we fully understood the scoring system, and sometimes found the bonus’s weren’t recognised but this was rare. Would recommend!! 😊

Very fun games the Cube based on the tv show. It’s great for groups and you have 7 games to play . They increase in difficulty as you go on and are great for those of all abilities. Would recommend!

Had a fantastic time here for my birthday. The Putters golf experience is like no other and is something you need to try first hand. Although it's quite pricey for 9 holes, I still think it's great value for money. One thing that isn't clear is that there are two additional golf courses upstairs, which makes this place even better. The staff were friendly/attentive and on hand to answer any questions. I will definitely be booking to visit again soon, along with The Cube experience!

We had an amazing time at The Cube, celebrating our Son's 18th birthday. All staff were very friendly and supportive. The only downside was that, if it was a 1 player game, only one person got to play out of the pair. It was fine with Father and Son but would imagine a bit more awkward if friends going together. Overall a great experience. Thank you xx

We visited on a work trip to celebrate some of our teams birthdays. We were taken around the cube experiance by Molly P who was the perfect host! A true delight and chanpion in customer service and experiance. Nothing was too much trouble; she was funny, understanding, knowledgeable, and a real leader in hospitality. She is a great representative for the company and should be retained at any cost.

The kit in here is really well looked after, everything works as expected and we had a brilliant time. Played 18 holes of mini golf and every shot was recorded flawlessly. Drinks were fairly priced for Manchester and the food looked really nice. We didn't eat here but could see some really big burgers heading out to tables.

The Cube experience was excellent! One of the best activities we've done to date. Multiple game cubes chosen at random by the system, accompanied by a member of staff, shout out Liam, who was excellent. It was so much fun and we couldn't recommend enough.

We came here with 4 gererations of our family (10 in total) to play the Cube, with 4 of us were nominated to play the games (you need 4 people - 2 teams of 2 players as some of the games are for two and others for one player). Great-Grandad and the Grandkids were watching and supporting us. We played 7 rounds of the Cube which are randomly selected out of the 12 or so games available in each seprate cube. The games are great fun and some are very challenging depending upon your skill set. All the staff are absolutely brilliant and keep you well informed about each challenge, they are happy to help and Lily was amazing and let the kids have a try in one of the cubes at the end. Its as close to TV version as you can get and we all had a great afternoon! - Totally recommended!

Came here with my partner to play the Cube, which was a fantastic experience for the price paid. We had a meal before starting which was a burger and chips with some sauce, food was what you’d normally expect to pay and not too expensive, didn’t take long to arrive and was absolutely delicious. Afterwards, we played 7 rounds of the Cube with another duo we were competing with (games are typically in groups of 4) so if you’re solo or in a couple, keep this in mind. The games were fun and challenging, and will put a smile on your face. They are randomly selected on the day so you will have a unique experience if you were to return. The staff are absolutely lovely to chat with and help keep up the competitive spirit, they are happy to help and go the extra mile for anything you need, a great experience out for individuals or groups, highly recommend.

We had a great time at Urban Playground. We played both the mini golf & the cube. The mini golf was great, so much easier with the game totting up your scores for you! We loved it! We read a few reviews on the cube & were a little worried but we had a great time! The only reason we have dropped a star is that you only get to play 7 cubes out of 11 as a group and they were auto assigned to you(we were a group of 4 playing 2 vs 2). Out of the 7 games we played, 5 of them were single player games which meant only 1 person from each team could play them (so 2 people from our group of 4 got to experience them). That means as an individual we actually only got to experience 4 - 5 of the 7 cubes & ultimately 2 of us got more for our money. We walked around the room after we had finished to look at the games we hadn't played and the 4 we hadn’t played were all 2 player games. We feel like if you’re a group you should ideally get to play the 2 player games so everyone gets a good go at the games, alternatively, everyone should be able to at least have a go at each game or each person should be able to play and the scores totalled for your team. Other than that, we really enjoyed the experience and would still go back & recommend it!

Putters Manchester is good fun but on the prize hole if you win a prize they don’t honour it saying it has not come through on there system.
