Urban Garden Kitchen & Bar in Calderdale

Booked in advance for a breakfast ahead of attending a football match at The Shay. Less than 10 mins on foot to the ground. Cafe was smartly turned out inside and the bar area led out to a pleasant and colourful courtyard. The staff were friendly and attentive. Even though I'd pre-ordered, my breakfast was cooked freshly. The first sip of the accompanying latte was beautiful. The bacon was thick and tasty, the sausage was local farm produce standard. Three sausages and three rashers too. Portobello mushroom and grilled tomato completed the ensemble, save for the tastiest grilled chorizo sausage I've ever tasted outside of Spain. Toasted sourdough bread and butter completed experience. Reasonably and fairly priced too, I will be back the next time I am in the area. Thanks all at Urban Garden Kitchen and Bar!

Cute new addition to Fax! I have been here a few times now, they do great cocktails, good food and reasonable priced drink and the decor is so cute! They do some great alternatives for Vegan and Dietary needs!

Had afternoon tea last week and can't praise UGK enough. There was loads of food. Loved it all, but the fish goujons and brownie were my favourite along with the tasty home made chips. One of the party had a pizza which was also delish. Cocktails were fabulous and strong! We were sat in the lovely little courtyard at the back. It rained, but we were well sheltered under the big parasols, so it didn't matter. Will definitely be back to try more dishes from the lovely looking menu. It's such amazing value for money. Can't not mention the brilliant, friendly service that made our visit perfect. Thank you for such a great experience.
