Upton Central in Purbeck

Very nice food and friendly staff at this very atmospheric and 'comfortable' cafe. Highly decorated for the festive season.

The cafe is lovely, friendly staff and the owner Mark is always lovely, the breakfast was tasty as was the coffee! I often pop in for homemade cake which is the BEST!

Excellent food only spoilt by the owner walking around with his jeans halfway down his buttocks leaving us to gaze at vast e passes of underwear whilst eating

Honestly, the customer service here was absolutely astonishing. Despite facing aggression from some customers during their shifts, the two workers handled it calmly and dealt with the issues so well. The cleaning was amazing and the baristas were so friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend coming here if you want great customer service, great vibes and an overall good time. Oh, and the baristas were gorgeous too! Not to objectify, but they were stunning. So it made the experience even nicer. :)

Such a lovely local cafe. Happy, smiley service and delicious food. Great value for money and covid safe. Will be returning and 100% recommend!

Moved to upton in dec and found this lil gem. Lovely coffee, gorgeous food and cakes and the staff/owner are so friendly and helpful.

We absolutely love Upton Central,the Staff are so kind & attentive...let you choose your own teapot lol... The food is just wonderful.. We love the relaxing ambience of the lovely place....x

We regularly eat at Upton Central for breakfast and lunch. The staff are very professional but friendly. It’s always got a lovely warm atmosphere. The food menu is varied with a specials board adding an additional twist. Not your typical greasy spoon at all but very reasonable priced, tasty home-cooked food that is nicely presented. A lovely place to come either with family, friends, on your own or even for a business meeting! Highly recommended!

We had amazing coffees, amazing cakes and a lovely relaxed atmosphere in this little coffee shop. We were just passing through and didn't expect to find anything as good as this so we were very happy indeed. The staff were professional and friendly and the general feel was inviting and homely yet clean and efficient. Superb cakes but most importantly for a coffee shop - the coffee is great! If only we could pop in all the time but we were travelling through the area. However, it's good to know the independents are thriving everywhere>

My friend & I called in for Bacon Baps & Iced Coffee, Milkshake & teacake...It was absolutely delicious & the Service just incredible.... A real sense of Community in there too..... We will be back xx

Called into this cafe for lunch and ordered bacon sandwiches and coffee. Went to pay with a card and was informed that they only take cash. Fortunately there is a cash point next door so went and got some money to pay the bill. Sandwiches and coffee were both really good, bacon was cooked to order. I hope they will invest in a card machine in future as who carries cash these days? Good visit otherwise.

Visited again today for coffee and cake. The owner Mark is always friendly and welcoming. The cakes are all homemade and delicious. I had Dorset apple cake today which was light and moist. There is a lovely atmosphere and they have papers to read whilst you sit on a comfy sofa or at a table. Absolutely love this place. It is a real hub in the local community and you do not have to be a local to enjoy it...High 5 to the Upton Central...X

Stopped in for a snack recently and both had a plain scone with jam and cream, which appeared to be homemade and came with copious amounts of jam and cream. The staff are chatty and helpful.

A great place for coffee, breakfast,lunch or just to get away from the High St Costa etc. Lovely independent place, clean tidy, good value for money.

Metimos en por primera vez recientemente y probamos el desayuno preparado, que era generalmente buena con huevos escalfados y pan frito en vez de buena calidad para el pan tostado. Para mí hubiera preferido las salchichas para ser cocinados un poco más, pero en general muy buena

Mi novio y yo a menudo vienen para desayunar en el fin de semana. No me gusta, así que siempre huevo frito pedir revueltos con mi desayuno, pero juro que es un huevo y un chorrito de leche. Así que es una poción muy pequeña de huevo

He sido un cliente desde que abrieron sus puertas y se ha convertido en uno de nuestros lugares favoritos para visitar. Mark y su personal es muy amable y acogedor, y nada es demasiado problema. Nunca se queja cuando nuestros hijos son un poco desordenadas o ruido (como algunos otros lugares en Upton! ! ) y hará todo lo posible para asegurarse de que son atendidos, si eso suministrando galletas para los niños o haciendo un niños tamaño de la porción de comida (con cubiertos y platos de los niños! ). Comida encantadora, pero tengo que decir, las tartas son increíbles! ! Me parece que es imposible visitar si estoy a dieta y resistir una losa gigante de esponja victoria ;)

Nice cafe in upton. Small garden area at the back and a few tables out the front. Very comfy couches and chairs. Lots of tasty cakes and plenty of choice of drinks. Free parking.

Mark y su personal siempre encantador y acogedor. El ambiente es muy tranquilo, hay un pequeño jardín en la parte trasera de la tienda si el tiempo es bueno.

Hemos pedido tres batidos que eran todos que contengan manchas de algo verde, aunque nuestro batido de vainilla era. Pedimos otra y buscado a través de encontrar que el manchas eran las cuatro batidos. Todos eran bultos y jalea como. Estamos muy decepcionados, ya que generalmente vienen aquí y están bien.

Always a pleasure. Great food...great service and nothing is ever too much trouble. Excellent !! These guys always make everyone feel welcome. Special orders for allergies are well executed. All the good reasons why we keep coming back.

Lovely place very nicely decorated. The food is lovely and not long to wait for a small place. Love the jukebox in the corner.

I love this place, fab staff, friendly and so welcoming, nothing is to much trouble for them. Lovely homemade cakes, and a pot of tea, enough for at least three cups. More if you want :-) ....I would much rather support a local business that is food value for money than the Costa Coffee across the road. Thoroughly recommend this tearoom

Called into this local cafe for lunch. There is plenty of off road parking in the Triangle Shopping area which offers a few other shops.The cafe is quite large with a variety of seating from sofas to various size tables/chairs.The staff are really lovely and the menu has a good selection from cooked breakfast to sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes and a selection of cakes. There is a daily special too but unfortunately they had run out.We were pleased with the food, ham and tomato sandwich with side salad and coleslaw, jacket potato with beans and salad. This food and two coffees came to just over £13.There is a toilet at the back of the cafe.The only thing I wasn't keen on was the decor, dark floor, dark wall panels and lots of signs/photos on the walls which gave a cluttered feeling. Less is more as they say!Good cafe though and I would recommend a visit.

A great little coffee house friendly staff fantastic atmosphere and lovely coffeehouse cakes are great too.

Waiting for my dog to have a hair trim we thought we would go to Costa in Upton. I am glad we could not park as we found this very nice coffee shop. Lovely atmosphere, coffee very nice and the cakes looked delicious. Lots of parking. Have already recommended here to my friends.... If you are passing Upton pop in you will not be disappointed

I often visit for a catch up with friends but today came with a lady I support to live independently and Mark and his staff were helpful making adaptions to the menu so lunch suited her better. As ever the food was delicious and the service friendly. I highly recommend this place for a ll variety of occasions from a quiet cuppa on your own to a full catch up and lunch with friends. It's lovely to be recognised and asked genuinely how you are. Keep up the good work guys.

Went for breakfast as recommended by a friend and really like this cafe. Clean and pleasant place nice staff and good food.

For my birthday, my best friend took me here for a birthday brekkie. Had a full english which consisted of bacon, sausage, beans and egg with toast and a cuppa. The food was very well presented, hot and tasty. The cafe was very busy with mums popping in for a cuppa and something to eat after dropping their children at school. it was very busy and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely go again :)

I want this place to succeed, whoever granted permission to let a costa open between two small local cafés should be ashamed ! Upton Central is a nice friendly place however, if the owner reads this you need to deter the local gossip spreading mothers screeching across from table to table about their benefits, husbands wrong doings, children's behaviour etc. you have a fantastic place, clearly work hard and I ask all locals support this place.

beautiful scones and cakes, yet not much variety with toasties & sandwiches. friendly and helpful staff was willing to mix and match to create a toastie of my liking which was kind of them :)

The staff are really friendly, the menu choices are fantastic. Its got a lovely, comfy atmosphere with some snug sofas. It's bright & airy with a clean toilet. It's super value for money. Perfect!

This new coffee shop is a welcome addition to Upton and offers a large range of teas and coffees and homemade cakes. It has a lovely welcoming atmosphere and comfortable seating. The staff are friendly and over great service, thanks very much, we will be back.
