I bought the chicken avocado but when I got it home it was basically a tomato and leaves inside. The chicken was hardly anything there and looked like someone had chewed it and spat it into the baguette. There's was no avocado and basically a rip off

A truly disgusting and embarrassing experience ( as in, embarrassed to be a lifelong Londoner when this is the sort of food on offer at a major transport hub compared to similar outlets almost anywhere else in the world). At Upper Crust Liverpool Street station two baguette sandwiches ( cheese and tomato and chicken and bacon) and one americano coffee cost a staggering £15 and was almost unbelievably bad. The baguettes were damp , stale and tasted only of old socks. The contents were dry and old. A joyless rip off which left a nasty taste in the mouth both literally and metaphorically. What a disgrace compared to the crisp , fresh baguette sandwiches on offer at stations in almost every other city in the world, at a third of the cost. Avoid, and starve this disgraceful business into oblivion so that something more decent can take its place

I visited upper crust at waterloo station after a long gap and was extremely disappointed. I ordered my favourite a baguette with mozzarella cheese, tomato & basil. They do not do that any more and instead gave me a rubbish slim cheddar cheese flakes + tomato with a stale baguette. So the stuff has reduced and the price has massively increased. Increasing price should make it better but instead rubbish !! never again, Upper Crust you lost a customer !!

Biggest scam ever 🤣 Bought a chicken and bacon baguette for £6 which looked like it was filled with chicken I bite into it all I can taste is a mouthful of pure mayo. I open it up and theres just tiny singular pieces of chicken spread out on the outside to make it look full 😂😂 Go back to tell them to add more chicken they say they “cant change the recipe” and give me a new one.. which of course was even worse than the original one !!

The new menu is so bad. The old all day breakfast (ciabatta version) was amazing and I used to get it every single day. The new all day breakfast is very inferior (why are there tomatoes in it?) and the sausage baguette isn’t great either (944 calories yet no sauce to make it actually taste like something?!) I used to visit every day and now probably won’t come again. I do appreciate the rewards scheme though which makes things reasonably good value and the staff are fantastic

I bought a cream cheese and salmon baguette at the Upper Crust outlet at Waterloo station before boarding a train. On the train I opened baguette to find it empty! I am not convinced that could happen by accident and I'm sure the staff found it a real hoot thinking that I'd be opening my baguette to find it empty, not even a scrapping of butter!

Being a regular visitor to Upper Crust Kings Cross, I purchased a tuna salad baguette and a ham and cheese baguette for my husband and I to have on our train journey back home. To say we were disappointed with our baguettes would be an understatement. Both baguettes contained barely any filling but we were still charged £4.35 for each! Completely ripping customers off! Will never visit again!

My regular sandwich stop on the way to work. Sabihabe is always there with a smile and a cheery hello. She remembers me and my regular order even when it's been months since my last visit. Upper Crust food in general is tasty and reliable. Yes, a bit pricey but I suppose that's to be expected in a Waterloo concourse concession.

How low has upper crust gone, such a shame. Baguette was stale, lack of ingredients and how they can charge such a premium price for poor quality food beggars to belief. I won’t be returning to any of its outlets again.

I suppose "Upper Crust" is a misleading name for this particular Food Outlet : it's a small Service-Counter, offering a limited variety of snack foods (like Baguettes, Sandwiches, Cookies, Teas, Coffees, etc.), mainly for "Takeaway", but also providing a compact seating-area. It's located in one corner of a rather uninspiring "Plaza" at Charing Cross Station - quite a contrast, for example, with the rather more "plush" surroundings at St. Pancras. That said, this Outlet, in our eyes, does a reasonably good job at its level (this is definitely not "Pret a Manger") but their unpretentious, no-frills "Offering" seems consistent with what one should reasonably expect. We stopped-by here on a Monday afternoon in early March, for Coffees & Cookies - the woman on the Counter was pleasant, and as I waited for our Coffees, I noted that she was more than reasonable in facilitating another Customer who had some form of unfamiliar "Special Offer" voucher on his Phone, from a Rail Services Company - well done! We sat in the rather spartan "Eat In" area, and thought that, overall, what we got, was reasonably OK - somewhere between "Average" and "Very Good", I suppose, but having watched the Counter-Lady do her very best, we felt it only appropriate to go with the higher "Trip Advisor Rating".

I decided to ‘risk it’ as a number of other outlets had queues that would have likely resulted in me missing my train. How bad can it be I thought. But after the first bite it hit me. My £6 pulled pork baguette (to be fair I forget the exact ‘title’ of what I ordered) seemed to consist mainly of a ‘meat’ paste with a few lumps of meat and some pork scratchings. Even after a few beers it was barely edible. My advice is avoid. Go somewhere else or abstain altogether!

This is a place in Waterloo train station and offers takeaway drinks, sandwiches and cakes etc. Its big advantage is that it is convenient for getting food and hold/cold drinks to take on the train. The main food offering are baguettes. On this visit I had a cheese and tomato baguette, a pain aux raisin and an orange juice. The baguette had clearly been out a while and the bread was a little on the stale side. The pain aux raisin was good and the orange juice was just a main brand bottle and wasn't very cold. The service was OK, though it is a little awkward as there is so much on the counter between the customer and the server that it can be difficult to hear what the person is saying (and vice-versa). The cost was a little higher than normal, probably reflecting the location.Overall, if you are looking for a drink or sandwich to take on the train and you are time constrained then it is an OK choice.

Very happy to find a quality sandwich at Waterloo station. I was quite tired having taken the Eurostar and then a cab ride through London to reach Waterloo. While waiting for my train I spotted it. Baguettes!! I ordered a ham and mozzarella to take on the train. Really, really good (okay I was really, really hungry). Ham had nice flavor and the baguette was very fresh. Counter service seemed a bit disorganized and not meant for the ponderous (in other words know what you want before you step up to the counter.) Customer service was terrible and average par fried chicken. Upon complaining about the amount i was given per price (not specified on advert) i was very aggressively told to go away as allegedly nobody had complained before. The reviews here would tend to disagree with that. Good luck to your failing business.
