Walked 15 minutes from work, not disappointed. Nice large bit of cod and good chips. Good little chippy 👌

Food was amazing turned up at 9:25 5 minutes before closing food was amazing especially the chips ! Amazing ! . Pastry was lovely on pies and the chips were brilliant . Thank you !

Visited this evening 18th November, not been for a few weeks as the price keeps increasing. Ordered steak pie and chips, no pies left not a problem changed the order to cod and chips, and a kebab. Got charged for the cod stupidly expensive got a jumbo one in Whitby for the same price, the young guy behind the counter seemed a little unsure of which fish to choose, we got haddock, edible but not what was ordered. Have lived in chesterfield for 20+ years, recommended this place when we moved here, sadly the service has gone down disastrously. Need to find somewhere new

Had a really good battered sausage supper (chips and mushy peas) and they cooked some scraps specially for me as it was a bit late(don’t get them in Scotland so really appreciated it!) and a lovely chat whilst we were waiting 😊

Chippy dinner. Soggy chips all stuck together in a big ball of potato and fat. 🤢 soggy batter on fish stuck to wrapping which mostly came off when unwrapped. Also wish the guy doing the chips with the tattoos and cooking could smile. May help with the cold atmosphere. Chatsworth fish bar miles better.

Just been in and a sign about allergies is displayed on the wall near the counter. I asked about gluten free to be rudely told they don't do anything gluten free. I was then asked "why have gluten free when it's all cooked in the same batter". Seriously, I thought how rude. What is the point of asking about allergies if that's how you get spoken to? My work colleagues have decided that they will go somewhere else starting next week in support of me. Chesters on Sheffield Road cater for people who suffer from gluten intolerance so they are getting our custom from next week onwards.

One of the best fish and chips I've had in a long time...

Went today for kebab meat,for £6.50 I got the littlest carton of meat and it was stone cold.Other chippies are cheaper & you get more meat.This place has been steadily going downhill since Steve left.I won't be going here anymore!!

Paid £27.50 for fish, chips & curry twice!! Not sure if this is the norm as it's no Whitby .. Presented in the poxyist chip tray imaginable!! Really struggling to eat out of it.. mmmmm. Probably won't go back..

Great food, and the very beautiful slim girl who works there is absolutely gorgeous and tbh I’d go there to see her no matter how the food was !

The overall food is good, but cost is a bit higher than other places but nothing to not go there for I would recommend to give a try if you after some fish and chips and you are in the area

Great fish and chip shop. They made a mistake with my last order. When I took it back everything was sorted quickly and with no fuss. Ought to add that this was the first mistake in 15 years!

Asked for chps and cabab meat 6.60 charged over 8 asked why said already rang through ,shocking prices stupid high , Staff didn't know how to sort get a grip

Worst Donna kebab I've ever had, looked under cooked tasteless, threw it in bin nearly put me off for life, used to be a great chippy, chips all scraps tiny bits wasn't very happy as I was hungry

We called in after visiting Chatsworth and ordered two lots of Fish & Chips as we had done a couple of years ago. The food was OK, not the best but not the worst. The problem we had is that lad serving was not very good, maybe he was new, I don't know but I asked for F&C but we got what appeared to by whale and chips it was so big. I didn't really look at the price as I just did it contactless but I can only assume he gave us extra large fish and chips as the bill was £22 which is ridiculous. I did not ask for anything other than "two lots of F&Cs.

Love sausage special with mushy peas on a Wednesday lunchtime. Can't beat it .

Stopped here with my daughter, who is a big McDonalds fan and the fish and chips blew her away. Proper food and great staff. Definitely come back.

I've consistently only ever had good, old school proper fish and chips from this little gem. Always fresh and delicious, also the curry sauce they make here is really good. We'll worth a visit

It's been a long day I started at 0530 and I still have an hour to drive. Stopping for small cod special was not only a good idea it was also a very enjoyable meal. Never fails to please! Food is Fresh and always tasty. One small portion deal normally does myself and my wife whilst we are driving past. Ordered a small fish and chips with curry and fish had more meat than a large fish from our local takeaway. Always try and visit when we are passing near a meal time. Pleasant staff and very welcoming.

Worst chip shop food ever the kabab meat is so spicy and hot there's no taste to it it just burns the mouth and have to drink milk with it chips just normal would never go back again really disappointed.

Excellent little chippy! Very busy, queuing out the door! Haven't seen a fish shop this busy on a Thursday in a long time. Its not difficult to see why! Very generous portions, the fish are huge and cooked to perfection. The chips lovely, with a chunky hand cut feel to them. Almost everything available + drinks.
