First time purchase from this sweet shop. It is a treasure trove of all kinds of sweets and ice cream. The shop included our requests and the boxes of retro 80s sweets were ready in good time.

Old fashioned style sweet shop in the town centre with lots of old fashioned sweets on sale.

Excellent service from Zinnia! We needed sweets for my son's party the following day, we knew we had left it too late to get bespoke bags made up and we're hoping to be able to get enough of the lucky dip ready mixed pick and mix bags for the party. Zinnia sprang into action, my son picked his favourite and by 5pm Zinnia had made us 17 party cones! Thank you so much. We'll be back - next time we will order on time!

love this sweet shop cant wait for the next visit they sell amazing sweets and chocolate in here and the range of stuff they have is great run bu superb staff two that are very helpful.

Yummmmmmm, they've even got sugar free goodies, we had loads of different toffees. The sugar free coke bottles tasted great too.

There were loads of tempting sweets available but as it was a hot day we bought ice creams and were pleased to receive a Friday discount. The shop assistant was very friendly and helpful. We plan to come back and choose some nostalgic sweets.

Oh my word. What a help! Couldn't for the life of me find Vegan Chocolates, but this woman was so kind and helpful. A real gem. She arranged my order, to the budget I wanted and made it look great. Christmas pressie for someone.

Went in for some Valentine's goodies and they didn't disappoint on options. They had loads of love heart options and offered to get some more things in specially. Karen and Sophie were really helpful and lovely. Would definitely recommend. There aren't many places around, especially in this area to get the old school sweets and all sorts of things they have on offer. Loads of gluten free and vegan sweets too!

We visited here as a family to buy some sweets and presents for X Mas.We were amazed at the wide selection of chocolate, fudge, Pic n Mix, sweets and bespoke gifts on offer. This shop has everything to offer from Retro sweet collection boxes, to hand made Belgian chocolates, jars of goodies and bespoke party bags. The staff are very friendly, helpful and give the best welcome in any shop in Penarth.! Thank you for the ultimate X Mas chocolate experience! We will be back !! 😊

Umpa Lumpa in a lovely Penarth arcade, exudes warmth and colour both outside and in. Bottom line is, there is no other sweet and chocolate shop like it. I was talking yesterday to Karen(the owner) and Mel, who along with their other colleagues are ‘Oooo’ so ever friendly. If you’re not sure of a particular sweet you can try it first. I buy not only for myself but also my colleagues at work, who all have their particular favourites. I leave with separate little bags of sweets with their names written on. Last Christmas I bought exquisite hand made Belgium chocolates, picked individually and placed in decorative boxes. What beautiful presents they were, along with sweet stocking fillers and bars of chocolates with pictures of Penarth on the wrapping. I also bought large novelty tools(in my case a spanner and hammer) made out of chocolate. The colouring of the chocolate meant you could not tell that they were not the real article. I very occasionally use Trip Advisor to promote excellence! You take your children to Umpa Lumpa and they will be dragging you back. Although you won’t need much persuading!

Good for high end chocolate, novelty chocolate, old fashioned sweets and anything else for you to enjoy or buy as a gift. The staff are nice too.

What a place you must visit it all the old style sweets and chocs and some of their own creations too. Staff are so very friendly and helpful and you are sure to go back a second time

Best ever selection been here many time,great selection for diabetics,shop is a great place to take kids for photos with the props and it really is a sweet shop....great ice cream too..............

Nice shop. Staff will look on labels if u have a dietry requirement. However I did have to let staff know that an item was not vegetarian from seeing it in other shops. Moo free products sold here. Nice looking sweet gift sets.
