UMAI Pan Asian in Rugby

Lovely petit restaurant in Rugby Town centre. It was busy which is always a good sign. Service was good and staff were friendly. I had what they referred to as a “stew” with seafood. In truth it was more like a broth Asian soup but it was really really nice, it was on the specials board. Price was reasonable too. Will definitely be going back. Great for Rugby to have this little gem!!!

We had chicken katsu curry, chicken katsu don, teriyaki chicken and 2 bubble teas. Food was really amazing. I could give 10 stars. The team served us was very friendly and proactive. Kudos to everyone and highly recommended.

Outstanding food,fabulous service and great value for money. The best sushi I've had and I love the Korean main dishes in particular.

Delicious food, freshly cooked with good quality ingredients and lots of flavour. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, especially Anna who was so enthusiastic without being intrusive. Definitely recommend

Yummy Japanese/Korean food in Rugby! Good portions, food is delicious and great flavours definitely one of my go toos in town!

Popped in for a quick bite to eat after a few drinks at The Merchants Inn (best pub in Rugby!) The welcome was very friendly and some of the menu choices were helpfully explained. We chose salmon, tuna and octopus sashimi to start. All were excellent but the salmon was superb. Korean fried chicken followed and was really tasty. Beef bibimbap was the choice of main courses and was delicious. Portion size was generous and plenty for the two of us. This was our first time here but definitely won't be the last. The food was excellent and the prices very reasonable. Can't wait to go back!

We went here for the first time last night and loved it! The restaurant is small but not crowded and with an authentic feel. There is a wide range of dishes and the waitress was very happy to talk us through some of the dishes and make recommendations. I had gyoza then chicken udon ramen served in a beautiful bowl with a traditional wooden spoon. Anna, our waitress, was so friendly and helpful- can’t wait to go back.

We were a group of 6 on a Saturday night who hadn’t booked, and they managed to squeeze us in between bookings which we appreciated. They had ran out of the dish I wanted to order, but the staff were really helpful in recommending me an alternative which was delicious. We brought my friends 2 year old and they were very accommodating with a high chair and even kiddie chopsticks!

This is our second visit to this lovely, cosy restaurant and we had another great experience. The food was beautiful, the sushi the best we've ever had and service from the lovely Anna was fantastic. She helped us understand some of the dishes and how to eat them (eg the bulgogi). My children adored it as did I. I highly recommend this restaurant and hope they thrive. We will be back soon.

Excellent food. Excellent service. This is my third visit in three weeks and I have been really impressed every time. Very happy to have a delicious Asian restaurant in Rugby.

This place has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and great variety menu. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food itself was flavoursome and good portion sizes. We will definitely be going back! Highly recommend to anyone looking for pan- asian.

Always like to try new restaurants in town but was completely blown away by the quality of the food. Staff were friendly. The food was bought out quickly and prices weee very reasonable. Looking forward to going back.

Lovely lunchtime treat, served by friendly staff. The menu has plenty to choose from and at a reasonable price. Definitely will be back.

The menu is vast and from all parts of Asia which is unusual. The guy who served us was really nice and polite and the service was quick. My business partner and I eat all over the UK and lots of Asian food. This is the worst both of us have ever had. The teriyaki chicken looked awful and was awful. The spicy friend chicken was chewy. The prawns looked like the ones you get from Iceland in tempura batter. My main was horrific. Dry, rubbery chicken that didn’t look like chicken and some lettuce leaves for £15, NO JOKE. Unbelievable! My partners dish was ok at best. I presume they do some good food but all people left quickly and looked disappointed. We complained and left some food and he did know £10 off. Seriously the worst lunch we have both ever had in our lives.

Tasty food, friendly staff, great vibes! Really authentic Japanese menu, sashimi was great and kids loved the gyoza. Reasonably priced. Definitely recommended!

Get booked in now, don't hesitate. We had our works Xmas meal out here and none of us knew quite what to expect. The food choice is unbelievable! There were 12 of us so it was better for us to order as many different dishes as possible which was the best idea of the night! I got to taste almost everything. I ate until my trousers button became tight. Everything was excellent 👌 honestly, not one complaint about the food or service, all absolutely top class! My only slight negative is that I don't drink alcohol but like alcohol free lager, they don't stock any. I will be back with my family!

Great service. Staff are very attentive, polite, and friendly. The food is excellent; I had mixture of Japanese and Korean menu. A well deserved 5+ stars for me. Highly recommended to everybody. I would certainly visit again!
