Food was excellent and staff/service great. Could not fault the meals that we had and in lovely surroundings.

Excellent food, great service, the fish was reallly nice and a decent size. The chicken and Chorizo kebabs were lovely. Well done, we will be back.

We like coming to the restaurant as the food is delicious and staff very attentive without being intrusive. The lower score for our visit yesterday was for roasted potatoes being too little roasted and I ordered another glass of wine but unfortunately it didn't come whilst I was still eating so I cancelled it. Overall all good and we will be back, these are just small things to iron out.

Josh was very polite and efficient. Food was excellent and prompt.

Pretty average food, in fact fish and chips were poor, hard batter, fish just okay, won't eat here again. Staff really obliging.

Waited nearly an hour to be served.Orderd drinks,another half hour before they arrived.

I had originally booked a table for 7pm but ended up being stuck in traffic on the way back from London for far longer than I'd anticipated. I rang up Two Watermills at 6pm and asked to move our booking back to 8pm and they were extremely accommodating, also warning us that the kitchen closed at 8.30 because it was a Sunday. We ended up arriving at 7.30 and were shown straight to a table. The food was brilliant, the prices good value and service, both before and during our visit, was amazing. I was definitely pleased.

Had a very nice family meal here with my grandchildren. Reasonably priced. Nice fresh salad with dressing and no cucumber which I don't like 😁 Great friendly staff. Ide recommend booking as it was busy on a Tuesday at 5.30 pm

Arrived without booking was shown to a nice table by the Manager. Elouise the waitress arrived to take drinks order. They were delivered efficiently. She then returned to take our food order. Food was delivered hot. Nice time between courses.

Always good service and food but when there are 4 of us the food should be served together not ten minutes apart young Josh did well on a busy night

It was a very busy evening as there was the special offer of 30% of grills but Georgia , our waitress was very prompt and efficient and friendly and we did not have to wait long. We always get good service in the 2 Watermills, Newbury and we are usually served by Georgia. No complaints at all thank you.

A great place to visit, food is always amazing

Once the restaurant got busy obviously the waiters had more to do so the wait was longer. My husband said the pastry on his pie was hard. My sons steak was gristly. My daughter being vegetarian had that pie , her comment was OK. I enjoyed my scampi and the other 2 adults seem to enjoy theirs. The size of the kids mac and cheese seemed on the small side as my granddaughter helped me with my chips and scampi. All enjoyed the desserts. I would come again but not sure about my daughter or husband.

For a cheap Marston's pub, this place is very overpriced and serve small portions with a lot of plate showing. Maybe they're trying to be a classy restaurant with the presentation of the food and prices but in reality it is just bog standard pub grub. We've been on several occasions and each time the menu gets pricier and the portions and food quality get less

Josh our waitor was super. We were a table of 17 and he dealt with us with professionalism and ensured we were okay throughout our stay. Josh is a credit to your team.

We had a wonderful evening. We were looked after very well by Paul and Ewan. Food was well prepared. We come twice a month and always enjoy our visit.

7 of us visited for a family lunch to celebrate my son's 18th birthday. Prior to the day I called to see if ok to bring balloons and our own cake, which they were very happy to accommodate. Upon arrival I got the cake sorted and the staff member behind the bar immediately took it out of sight so the birthday boy wouldnt see it. The member of staff serving our table was superb! He was so friendly, helpful and generally 'on it' and just laughed about navigating his way around balloons whilst serving us, he brought out the lit cake and kicked off "happy birthday" without any of us having to prompt or ask. We all commented on how good he was and a lovely server. Food was also very nice, definitely recommend especially if you are celebrating any kind of event.

The pub was very clean and nice not to be sitting on top of one & other our waitress Leanne was very nice to us and dressed well..You could not fault the food was well precented well done to all especially the chef 👍

Very good pub, highly recommend the vegetarian BBQ cauliflower wings with chilli, amazing, and the signature burger was good stuff. Chorizo Mac n Cheese, Pies (all 3) and Lasagna are all also great. Can't go wrong here with the price.

Nice little stop on the way home from shops. Much bigger place than I realised, lots of space to eat Staff friendly and helpful and food good.

Wow what can I say myself and my twin daughters visited the two water mills for breakfast available on a Saturday morning only been open for a couple of weeks for this but I can say they had everything available lots of it it was amazing bread .toast, pancakes with maple syrup a must visit very good value for money staff very friendly and eager to help in anyway let’s hope this breakfast on a Saturday morning only can take off with a bang . We also as a family go at least once a month for dinner or lunch and the same excellent can not fault in any way always friendly and I would like to thank yourself and your staff for excellent service

Lovely celebration lunch for 10 people. Lunch menu was great value. Some had statrters and main, some had main plus pudding. Everyone enjoyed, staff friendly, food great. Our waiter Craig was fab, efficient and friendly.

We love going to the Two Watermills, there is always a friendly welcome and the staff are always attentive without being over the top. Lat night Suzie served us, it was very busy but she was patient in sorting our food and never missed a step everything delivered exactly as we ordered in a timely manner. Will be back again, just us and also with friends.

Well I'd like to be able to give a review, but when I turned up at the location shown on Google maps its just somebody's house, no pub.

I visit most weeks for a meal and the service and food is always excellent.

I have to change my review but will leave the old one on to show the difference - Since the manager Paul have taken over the Two Watermills, the food the service and atmosphere has improved significantly for the better! This is a lovely child and dog friendly place to come, I will be going back now on a more regular basis with my family whether for food, drinks or both!! Well done Two Watermill team for an amazing turn around. Keep it up!! 👍🏻 Okay during the day and early evening, food and service ok. However i would say from 8:30pm onwards, you then have the local drunks (staff know them by names) swearing, staggering around and falling onto a very young child in a pushchair......dodge city!!

We turned up without a booking and there was a table for 8 free. The service was good and friendly. The food was really delicious.

Went for a meal with my boyfriend, when I booked I asked the staff for a quiet area, we were placed on a lovely table, the food was amazing, and the waitress we had explained that the starter we asked for if we were sharing wouldn’t be enough to share which we appreciated a lot, we loved our food and shared a pudding which the waitress already thought we would do so she brought two spoons, would definitely come here again very friendly staff

Basic pub food with some vegetarian/vegan options. Annoying that the chicken curry was the same price as the sweet potato and chickpea curry but had naan bread, papadom and chutney included but the latter only had a small flatbread. Poor value as always for vegetarians. Reasonable choices otherwise.

we had a lovely waitress called suzie she was quick to serve us and made sure we were looked after. Food was lovely and the atmosphere was also great. Good Guinness here as well folks.

As always lovely food and staff. My 4 and 3 year old granddaughters absolutely love Ruby and she makes our visit that bit more special.

Went for dinner on my birthday and we were served by a very friendly tall gentleman at the bar who helped me choose a gin as I was having trouble choosing myself. Then the wonderful Ruby took us to our table and served us the rest of the evening. She was absolutely incredible, with her high spirits and positive attitude even though she was darting around like a dragonfly with how busy it was. Never once did she lose her smile which made us feel so comfortable and welcome. The food was lovely and came out quickly and the drinks were delicious too. Although it was very busy and tables are quite close to others, it was a lovely atmosphere and top tier service.

The waiter Jack was friendly and polite. We had kids Mac & cheese, side of chips, side of Halloumi fries and chicken & chorizo kebabs. Followed by kids brownie, melting chocolate bomb and cheesecake. Overall very nice food and good portion sizes. The garlic bread that came with the kids mac and cheese was a bit tough to chew. Also such a shame they clearly use a much cheaper quality brownie for the kids one versus the one I. the melting choc bomb (Which was lovely!). Disabled toilet could have done with a clean /more regular checks for cleanliness. We are frequency visitors to the pub as its a good location, nice choice of food and my niece loves the park.

I prebooked a table for 6 people to celebrate my dad's 90th birthday. On arrival we was shown to our table, ordered drinks and ordered our meals. The first choice wasn't available so 4 of us ordered steak and chips, I ordered buttermilk chicken. Sometime later our meals arrived, the steaks were tiny, chicken overcooked. The steak eaters could not eat the meat as it was tough and full of gristle. We complained to the manager who after a long discussion offered to replace them, we refused as if all 4 steaks were all awful the replacements would be the same. We all decided to leave the food as it really was bad, however my dad continued to eat his as he was really hungry. After he had finished he started to feel very unwell, we sat for some time to see if it would pass but he just got worse. We went outside for some air, then he began vomiting violently, it wasn't until this time that the manager seemed interested. I suggested to him that he took some of the vomit to get it tested, but he never did. The managers sister (a nurse) did take a look at my dad and was very good. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. The toilets also stunk and had broken locks on the door. I checked on my dad the following morning, he felt a bit better and said that he wished he never ate the food as it wasn't good but felt that he had to as we had all taken him out for his birthdawhat should have been a happy 90th birthday was ruined I await Marstons response then update this post.

Great table service, great menu/food. Great value. Since the change in menu it has become one of our favourite eating venues.

Unbelievable, we was waiting for Ant and Dec to appear We pre booked for my dad’s 90th Birthday. We was shown to our table and given the menu, three of us wanted the bangers and mash but was then told it was off the menu, so four of us chose steak and chips and I chose the buttermilk chicken, some time later the meals arrived, the steaks were tiny, however we carried on and started eating, the meat was inedible, full of gristle, we spoke to the manager who offered to re make the meals but we declined as couldn’t imagine them being any different, my dad carried on eating his, in his words, he was a war baby and could eat anything. I had buttermilk chicken, this was way overcooked so was also sent back. We stayed at the restaurant to drink our drinks when my dad started to feel unwell, we sat a while longer but he felt worse, we went outside to see if fresh air would help, but then he started violently vomiting, he looked and felt awful. Up until now the manager didn’t seem to care less, but at this point he did appear concerned and asked his sister to check him out, which she did and was very good (she is a paediatric nurse). I suggested to the manager that he collect a sample of my dad’s vomit for testing, which he never did. My dad’s special day was totally ruined and at 90 years old there won’t be many more happy memories left to make. I checked on him the next day, he still felt poorly, he said to me that the food wasn’t good , he only ate it to make the family happy as we had taken him out, he also added that he was really worried about how unwell he felt at the two watermills and thought his time was up. We await the outcome from Marston HQ.

Lovely Sunday roast. Food is superb and the service is fantastic. Had the trio of roasts which included: beef, pork and turkey. Lovely selection of veg and homemade Yorkshire pudding with lovely crackling too. Really good roast dinner and lovely red wine gravy. Definitely would recommend and will be returning again soon.

The staff were really friendly, efficient and seemed genuinely engaged with us as a table. This is easily some of the best customer service I’ve ever received and I would happily recommend the place on this alone. The food was also fantastic - my burger was perfectly cooked and I couldn’t recommend it enough.

I took my mum for lunch, which we both enjoyed very much. Disabled parking perfect.

My scampi was superb, not overdone as in other places. My Wife's buttermilk chicken was perfect, she says - I wasn't allowed anywhere near it. The slightly sour berries with my cheesecake were a lovely surprise and my Wife's chocolate brownie (in a handled jar) spread widely across her mouth. Special thanks to Alec for his focussed and fastidious attention throughout.

I took my children here today and I will definitely be coming back with them! The food came quickly and was amazing, even my fussy child loved it and said it was delicious (which is rare) it's reasonably priced too, not too expensive. The staff who I spoke to when ordering drinks and food were very polite and accommodating. There is a lovely little play area in the garden for the kids to play aswell which my children loved. Overall the experience here today was 10/10 its such a wonderful atmosphere, will 100% be back again!
