Turtle Bay in Guildford

Ash was absolutely brilliant. He is so lovely and attentive. Brilliant waiter in every way. And cute to boot.

1st time eating at Turtle Bay. Large restaurant, lots of seating options as it was a Sunday and fairly quiet. Staff are very helpful and the decor was colourful. The food was ok, everyone seemed to enjoy their dishes and there were 9 of us. The starters were tasty but smallish. We ordered a share platter and then some single starters between us, but there wasn't enough for all of us because the single dishes were not generous. We should have ordered another share platter. Ordered the plantain starter, but I don't even think it was a whole plantain. Just 2/3's of a small plantain came, not enough! The ackee dish just had two small rolls on it. West Indian food is generous, I should know, I'm West Indian! I'm slightly disappointed. The curry goat was nice, hot, but not too hot, but I hated the dish it was served in and the board it came on. I would go again, but next time, I will order more food with a bigger crowd. The cocktails were delicious, and 2 of 1!

Had a bottomless brunch last saturday with my daughter. We were served by Katie, who was polite and efficient and very prompt with our drinks all the way through. The food was really tasty and the cocktails were delicious, especially the espresso martini-i would thoroughly recommend this venue and well done Katie.

I had a booking for my birthday dinner cancelled via EMAIL on the SAME DAY due to "maintenance" problems causing the restaurant not opening. No missed calls, just an email. I had it booked about 2 weeks in advance with 12 other people who I had to message with only a few hours notice! I tried to ring the place as soon as I read the email and no response either :( Also I chose this place as they cater for Vegans which made it impossible for me to find a place with only a few hours of celebrating my bday! So disappointing that I chose this in so much advance only to end up without a place to have my birthday dinner!

Katie's service was absolutely phenomenal. So friendly so polite and ensured my friends and I were looked after. Had the best time at turtle and will 100% be back again Big shout out to tash and izzy as well

The food was very well cooked and the drinks were prepared amazingly and quickly, our waitress Izzy was so welcoming and provided the best customer service possible.

Came here for a lunch during bank holiday weekend and had a really great time. The staff were so friendly and really attentive (helps it wasn't busy). We ate from the wraps/burger section and it was nice. I do think it's a little spenny just for the wrap so definitely suggest sharing the sides. Decent amount of sweet potato friends although mac and cheese was a little on the small side. Overall was really nice and tasted lovely so definitely would recommend for a lunch.

Lovely saltfish and ackee rolls for starter but the goat curry could have done with another hour of cooking. So sad as it tasted delicious.

Amazing staff & food but the cocktails deserve a separate mention!!! Bottomless brunch has become such a standard concept that people just expect the basic.. cheap food and cheap drink.. I feel like I have found a hidden gem that should be explored by everyone!! They actively encourage you to order as many as you can and are waiting to take your next order with a smile and recommendation! Each drink feels like you’re in a professional cocktail bar with experts at the helm!! They come thick and fast each one better than the next.. presentation, flavour and alcohol working together to ensure you enjoy every taste. I honestly can’t complement them enough!! The food is good, the staff are attentive, fun and ensure you are never left waiting or wanting more… however, the cocktails are next level!! Will absolutely be back! I do feel I should make a special mention to Tasha and Taylor who ensured this is the review I gave due to their fantastic service and cocktail making!! When booking make sure they’re working and you will not be disappointed!!

Kyan was a super guy. He had an amazing personality and was super friendly to make our evening great! Very attentive to our table making sure if we needed any more drinks and making sure how our meal was and he looked after us very well. Positive attitude and good spirits also! I would like to a massive thank you to Kyan and his personality was very funny and very positive as well!!

Gio is the best head waiter on the planet. He's attentive and knowledgeable. Great atmosphere, food was good as we're the drinks. The flood by the toilets was unfortunate but not a fault of the staff!
