TURO TURO - HOLBORN in Camden

I came to try this Filipino restaurant with high expectations bcoz of the good reviews and also bcoz I'm a Filipino myself, but i left with huge disappointment. The food is not even at par with the usual, unassuming pinoy turo turo eateries! Me and my friend ordered their rice bowls (chicken inasal, charred aubergine, pork tocino, pancit canton) and we were laughing bcoz we can't even reconcile the taste of the food with what we actually ordered. The food taste nice but it's not even close to what they should taste as per original recipe. 😕

The food portions are very small. I understand it wasn’t too expensive (£13) but I still think a restaurant shouldn’t serve a main course that small. It’s in a pub as well, which made it loud and not an appropriate restaurant experience, I think in this case they should call themselves a pub, not a restaurant. The food quality was good though, but it’s not fun eating when you finish your meal and you’re still very hungry afterwards. I don’t eat much either.

The food was absolutely incredible and so was the service. We had a party of 12 and everyone had fun. Thank you to the chefs for the delicious food and the awesome host for explaining the historical story of a boodle fight 🙏🏻 Would recommend to non-filipinos!

I had the pleasure of dining at this establishment for lunch with my spouse. The restaurant is somewhat concealed within the premises of a pub, making it easy to overlook if not actively seeking it out. The cuisine was of a high standard, albeit with a discernible adaptation catering to non-Filipino palates. The chicken inasal, while enjoyable, deviated from the traditional preparation that one might expect. Similarly, the pork tocino exhibited a flavor profile more akin to "humba." The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the ginataan, which evoked a comforting sense of home. Regrettably, the "boodle fight" style was unavailable on the menu that day. Overall, the experience was satisfactory, and the prices were reasonable. I anticipate revisiting the establishment to explore additional items on the menu.

Amazing food, flavourful, savoury and delicious! The bicol express is authentic and has a good kick to it.

Turo Turo provided an unforgettable dining experience for my colleagues and me. Hosting a group of 20, the staff welcomed us warmly and introduced us to Filipino cuisine through a traditional boodle fight. The food was delicious, impressively presented, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Turo Turo enhanced our evening by screening the Euros semi-finals, adding to the festive atmosphere. The restaurant's vibrant and comfortable ambiance was perfect for our gathering, and the staff ensured we had a great time. I highly recommend Turo Turo for anyone wanting to explore Filipino cuisine or plan a special meal!

Tucked away in the back of a pub, one could have eaisly missed this place, super friendly staff and service. A modern Filipino cuisine, British-Filipino fusion. We ordered 2 rice bowls, the Spiced Chicken Inasal, was cooked well and flavoursome, whilst the 4 Hour Braised Pork Tocino was succulent, melted in the mouth, it’s just the flavour was not what one would have expected as Tocino, was delicious mind. We also ordered Charred Aubergine from the small plate menu which was soft with a crispy skin which was delicious, and the surprise of the night. We visited on a hot Monday evening, so it was not that busy so could not really judge the atmosphere. I will definitely go back, as would like to sample a few more of the menu items, and would like to experience a boodle fight in the U.K. All in all I was satisfied with the meal, and service.

Turo Turo UK was the first ever Filipino BBQ Grill that I have ever been and it never disappoint. I have known Chef Rex as a very good mate since day one and seen him how he built his empire cultivating his Filipino roots through his culinary knowledge and skills. His signature dish of Filipino Chicken Inasal is truly the best in the game and we always inspire each other moving up the ladder through our chosen career paths. I highly recommend everyone to visit Turo Turo because if you're looking for authentic Filipino foods then this is the place to be out here in London 💯

The food was really nice, in fact my Turkish friend really loves everything especially the bibingka and ginataan.. Feels like home..

Very disappointed. It’s inside a bar and was very noisy. Not an actual restaurant rather a sort of Philippine tapas at a bar. The food is ok but small portions : we ordered 2 starts and 2 big dishes and left hungry and paid 55£. Very mild food, not much flavour which is very disappointing for philippino food

The Boodle Fight experience was amazing and the Turo Turo team.simply brilliant! We arrived at a nicely decorated table.with palm leaves and the host explained what we had to do - eat everything on front of us that they would be bringing - with our hands! It was really cool that they gave a short culture lesson about the Philippines as well - my teammates came from all.across Europe and really enjoyed hearing and experiencing something very unique to the Philippines! The food was so tasty too - it was hard to pick between the chicken inasal, longanisa and tocino. We left the table with full hearts and stomachs! Thank you Turo Turo!

Food was good, it’s like a modern take on Filipino cuisine. Menu is a bit limited, however it’s in a pub and not exactly a restaurant so it’s understandable. Portions were huge and would be nice to have more dessert options. We went there for dinner and there were a lot of people socializing (as it is a pub, so just an FYI). Overall, we enjoyed it.

Such a great find from the wife! THE BEST TASTING FILIPINO FOOD I've ever eaten outside of the Philippines. Chicken Inisal brought me back to Manila. Bummed we found this spot on the last full day of our trip. The pork tocino hit the spot! The wife got the aubergine and I was kinda jealous of that too. Luke our bartender was knowledgeable about the beer selection and the food. Please open up a spot in Los Angeles!

What a beautiful surprise it was. You don’t generally expect to see such an amazing food in a pub. Very well presented and tasted so good. Totally recommend it.

We had the Filipino fried chicken burger, omg, the fusion of flavours from the ginger garlic seaseme soy and pinch of fish sauce maybe shrimp paste a sweetness almost like a bit of mango chutney, the tang and crunch of the slaw, the subtle slice of cheese that kissed the juicy yet crispy outer layer of the breaded chicken made for the most satisfying fried chicken burger that I can remember having. The fries were also top notch! I honestly wasn't expecting to be blown away by a random pub lunch. Nice one guys, amazing.

The boodle fight was a great experience, a familiar and homey memory from Philippines. Glad Turo-turo made it possible here in London. Looking forward to experience the boodle fight in the future.

Food serving was generous too, (although would have preferred for the pork bbq to be served earlier with the rest of the food though). Had fun with dabarkads... Pork & Chicken Barbeque are both juicy & taste lovely. The grilled eggplant is surreal! Not fancying the Chicken Inasal much - maybe because I am used to the grilled Inasal back home. The ambience is good and everyone's friendly...

We had our reception in Manor of Walworth last June 24, 2022. We celebrated our civil ceremony catered by Turo Turo. Most of our guests said the food was lovely. Even the Vegetarian/Vegan menu. One of our friends said that it was the most delicious Vegetarian meal he had in a restaurant. Me and my husband have enjoyed the party a lot. Their team was very accommodating and friendly. I’m gluten free and Rex made some of the food gluten free but still very sumptuous. Lots of our guests gave full compliments to the food. Thanks to the lovely team.

The most amazing, authentic boodle fight in London! The food was amazing and the hosts Angel and Chef Rex were so welcoming and passionate about what they do! Highly recommend for large groups and intimate boodle fights alike - We've done both and the experience was just as great regardless of how many of us there were. The wings are out of this world and would gladly take home a bucket load of them.

Legit always have the best food; highly recommend the ginger and bangoong wings if you like a sweet and tangy coating to your wings; the Pork Sisig is fantastic, very filling!

I found out about Rex’s cooking on C4 and it was a joy to find out that he has a pop up at the Manor. Been three times and the food never fails. The chicken wings are banging and the aubergine is beyond! TREAT YOURSELF!

I Love their Ginger Bagoong Chicken wings! For me, this is the highlight of visiting Turo-Turo! Chef Rex the owner is very accommodating and spends the time talking to the guests when he gets the time. Recently, they hosted an event catered to both Filipinos, Non-Filipinos and Filipinos at heart! It was a very great event and I got the chance to meet friends and New friends. Guys… Once again, The Ginger Bagoong Chicken wings is a must try! ❤️

My 2nd time to be in Inuman Jam Sessions, even better 2nd time around, surely it can only get better on next ones. Chicken ginger bagoong my personal fave but TuroTuro has got loads to offer, i have tried most of them, taste unique like no other, highly recommended.

What a fun experience Boodle Fight is! A wonderful way to engage and connect with fellow diners too as you all tuck into a huge sharing table full of exciting flavour combinations (and traditionally there’s no cutlery). Aubergines, pork skewers and bagoong chicken wings were particularly good. It’s a truly hands on affair and a great introduction to Filipino cooking!

Fabulous Philippino food served with expertise and flair. The whole Boodle Fight experience was great fun, all the food was delicious - fresh, vibrant and extremely tasty. A delightful way to spend an afternoon, chatting with friends and meeting new ones. Rex and Angel are the most delightful hosts who really care about everyone having a great time. Amazing food, amazing chef! We visited for a ‘Boodle Fight’ which is a reoccurring event that they hold on Sundays. The experience was like no other, the event was so much fun and the food was incredible!! Would highly recommend!!
