I was really looking forward to a decent fish supper in north Berwick but ended up disappointed! Fish was sitting there and looked ok but was very greasy on inspection 1 mins later at the house ,chips although ok not very hot atall And for £11.20 was a rip off ! Nice chap served me but won’t be returning! Will try the other chippy tomorrow

Top quality fish and chips. Staff were efficient and the premises were very clean. Fish and chips cooked fresh for each order. Best in North Berwick

This place is usually very good and has delightful staff. However,last two times the Fish and Chips has been poor. The fish was VERY dry and mainly batter and the chips very soggy. Such a disappointment as we would be reluctant to return which is ashame.

We’ve used TKH a few times since the refurb and they have been excellent. Unfortunately we chose to get a delivery tonight. Big mistake. The two fish suppers arrived in good time, so couldn’t have been with the driver long, but on arrival they were tepid, soggy batter and chips. Very disappointing, worst £ 22.00 I’ve spent in a while.

Lovely refurb at the TKH fish bar and best fish and chips my Dad has had in a while! The place is ran by a friendly bunch of people who go out of their way with customer service and quality of food Fast efficient and good value for money.

Went here to pick up an order,it was a lovely,clean and well presented shop.Also the guy was really friendly and got our order ready almost instantly.Also they have a wide range of items to offer as well which is lovely to see including pizza,fish and chips,burgers and kebabs.Also including a wide and carefully selected choice of sides and drinks

Most of the time reliable for good fresh (mostly) fish. Long established 'chippie' who rarely disappoints.

Have had a very enjoyable kebab from here on a previous holiday. This year found ourselves here for a takeaway as no tables to be had anywhere to sit in and usual chippy takeaway very busy, their sitting in part closed for some reason. Have to say best fish and chips we’ve had in North Berwick! Don’t be put off by being a ‘Kebab House’. This will be our go to takeaway for a fish supper for sure.

We often get our fish and chips from the Turkish Kebab House in North Berwick. The fish is often very very fresh and always good. Chips (and fish) are fried fresh every day, and service is prompt and professional. Their pizzas are reliable, baked to order, and like all their food, available for home delivery in the immediate vicinity or can be collected from the premises. A good choice.

You guys never fail to deliver the best takeaway ever and tonight we had something different ...fish snd chips and it was delishimo!...the fish was melt in the mouth wrapped in the crispiest batter

The team at Turkish Kebab House have been working together for some time now, and have been a mainstay of the takeaway food trade in North Berwick during the current lockdown. In my experience the fish and chips is particularly good at the weekend, with fish supplied by the well known Edinburgh fishmonger Welch's. The chips are usually good too, and not bought in as frozen. Good takeaway service.

After looking at other reviews we thought we’d have a great meal. Felt it was expensive and got very little meat for the money paid . It was £10+ for a mixed kebab that wasn’t enough for one . The meat itself was nice but still felt ripped off and hungry.

We were stopping at the nearby tantallon caravan park so called the takeaway to see if they could deliver. They delivered 2 large pizzas and a drinks to the site in what felt like no time at all. Very friendly service too. 100% worth a try when in the area. Be handy if had some takeaway menus in the caravan park.

We get takeaway fish and chips from the Turkish Kebab House because it sources good quality fish every weekend and does a good line in frying chips. During lockdown in April the team first closed and thoroughly cleaned the entire establishment, and then served the community well by continuing to offer takeaway food when most other establishments in North Berwick were closed, and they did home deliveries as well. Now that lockdown has eased, it caters to the visitors who have begun to come to the town and offers a good service whether it's for fish and Chips or pizzas to take to the beach or deliveries to North Berwick and adjacent villages. No doubt on sunny days it will get busy, but service is good and the food is honest takeaway fare.

Just great quality Turkish food cooked to perfection something that's really hard to find had a great meal and the even allow you to BYO. Wine

Decided to stop at North Berwick on my way to Thurston Manor Holiday Park nr Dunbar. Climbed the Law and then decided to have Fish and Chips from the above named establishment. This was the best fish and chips I have had for a long time. I often find them very greasy. However the Fish and Chips I was served here was not greasy and the chips were also lovely and edible not burnt to a crisp like some chip shops. There was not a drop of anything left when I finished my meal. The North Berwick Seagulls missed out on any chance of scraps. It is nice to support a small local business at a time which has been tough for many.

Have been a customer now & again for few yrs. More recently been going 2 the Gullane fry 4 a delivery instead. Decided 2 nite 2 order from the Turkish Kebab. Reason was even though they were always overpriced & some food not as good as the Gull s/f. They usually had great pizzas. Well safe 2 say think we will be sticking back with gull superfry. We ordered 2 x 12 inch cheese & To pizza (1 with no extra toppings, 1 with 2 x veg extra toppings. And 1 pakora 2 share. Phoned in the order & nvr asked 4 the price until payment. Was beyond shocked wen he asked me 4 just few pence under £25. Seriously! £25 to get 1 x 12in cheese and Tom, 1 x 12 in cheese and tom with peppers and onions and 1 x pakora and no delivery charge. Wen we saw the menu. It turned out it was £8 odd just for a 12 in cheese and Tom. And then £1 per each extra veg topping. So was over £10 for my cheese and Tom with pepper and onion. As if that wasn't bad enough. Got pizzas up the road. And the reason was not marking this as a One star was actual pizzas were nice. But after paying an extra £1 for one or two at most tiny strip of onion on each slice. And another £1 for one or two tiny bits of pepper on each slice. Along with pakora so greasy only one of us could finish it. Can safely say that what used to be an amazing pizza /kebab house, where you didn't mind the price being (slightly) more expensive, compared to the alternatives & the fact the food uses 2 b great. Is now a pizza place where you are paying at least £8 for a 12 inch pizza. And £10-11 for the same if you want any extra toppings for ex £1 per one extra veg topping. Ridiculous wen u see the tiny few bits of veg put on as extra toppings. And pakora that are tiny bits swimming in grease. Seriously again would have gave 1 star if it was not that after all that the pizzas were quite nice. But this place has risen its prices 2 ridiculous levels compared to other similar places, and dropped standards. Will be back sticking with the Gullane super fry and paying happily the couple of quid delivery. Won't be back to the Turkish Kebab and won't be recommending, quite the opp. Will take seeing a lot of reviews that it is back to its old ways before even considering going back after tonight

Quick and friendly service here and their smoked sausage supper is delicious. I will return and recommend this place to anyone visiting North Berwick.

Very good quality haddock and well made chips. Quite expensive but just what you would expect to pay these days for such quality

How is this only 6th of 6?? Should be No 1.We've tried a few Fish and Chip takeways in the area, and this is by far the best and my son, who seems to eat little else agrees. Well cooked, well presented, tasty, not greasy, good size portions. Having been here this week, we wouldn't go to any of the others.

I have had takeout from here several times now and I've never been disappointed. This time around I had veggie pizza which was great, as it had plenty of veg and good base. Also, I absolutely love the fact they use cardboard containers, rather than plastic. Would recommend.

First Class Kebabs and Traditional ‘Chippy’ Takeaway food. Really good quality food (large portions). Friendly staff!

Called in to give it a go as usually go to the NBF. The chips were lovely and the fish was very good indeed. Our chippy of choice now in NB!

i have just had a pizza delivered to work, which is local to the shop, the pizzas are the best ive ever had. i have had many delivered here over the last year or so and they never disappoint. great speedy service and happy staff.

We went here for takeaway fish supper because they fry in vegetable oil, suitable for a vegetarian. But sadly it was not great. Friendly crew but poor chips, too much batter and not great fish. It is a kebab house so maybe better to judge it on its speciality. But probably best avoided for fish and chips.

We ought meals from this establishment twice... Always a good sign when customers go back for more. The fish and chips were good, as was the battered haggis. The lamb kebab was delicious, as was the chicken. Good quality food, good service. Good prices.

Had been to this place for fish and chips before and was pretty good but heard it did the best pizzas in town so fired down there with my friend after work and went in and got a pepperoni pizza. Bloody brilliant! The place seemed unusually clean for a takeaway as well which was good to see. Guys seemed pretty later back and friendly as well in there. Will become a regular!

Good honest local takeaway particularly good for fish and chips, pizzas and kebabs. The core staff have made a valued contribution to the community for years. Friendly and professional service. Open from 4pm so no daytime trade.

Good quality of house special kebab, chippy looked decent too! Seemed popular with the locals which is a good sign.

They were good value and had a good range of other food. They were delivered to Gilsland Park hot and on time

Sólo abre desde las 4:00 (debido a las limitaciones de encargado creo) pero aparte de eso, es muy conveniente llevar a cabo justo en la calle alta. El personal es amable, el lugar está limpio y las pizzas son recién preparado a pedido y tienen una excelente relación calidad-precio. Tome su generosa porción de pescado y patatas fritas (o lo que sea es su favorito) de 50 metros hasta la orilla del mar y disfrutar de las vistas, así como la comida. También hacer kebabs, hamburguesas y pan de ajo. Advertencia: sólo el fin de la fiesta de pizza de carne si eres bueno y tienes hambre!

The pizzas and chips here are amazing and in a helpful location on the high street. Gone here a lot. Could do with a little bit happier service...

Arrived with a group of friends near closing time,and we all got the impression we were a bit of an inconvenience. Kebabs were lacking taste and chewy, chicken/lamb same difference. Six unimpressed customers.

We only had chips here but they were nasty and you get a lot for your potion, the shop does kebab, burgers plus many of the stuff you find in your local chippy

Not bad for a cheap quick eat but didn't find the food to be all that good. Lack of batter on the haggis, chips a bit soggy and the pizza wasn't the best. Staff were friendly and lots of locals in the place so perhaps...

Mi esposa y yo comimos aquí en nuestra luna de miel hace un par de años, nos encantó! Sólo en el mes de abril volvimos en el North Berwick de nuevo y me preguntaba si nuestros recuerdos son mejores que las reales…. Sólo una comida de manera de ver…!

When will fish and chip shops move into the 21st century and cook fish to order as opposed to pre cooking it and leaving it in a warming area for goodness knows how long? As if anyone would treat fish at home this way!! Especially at £5 a piece. Needless to say, it was dry. The guy who served us used his bare hands to pick the pre cooked fish up from the warming area and then handled our money (disgusting). Have you not heard of tongs? Give this place a miss!

But is a great take away, always been friendly to me, food always hot a tasty. I have never found anyone employed here to be unfriendly, but maybe some people are just hard to please.

I ordered the Döner Kebab and was quite pleased with my meal. It was an enormous helping - couldn't finish it even though I was very hungry. Tasted really nice as well! The staff was helpful and very friendly. Will stop by again if I'm in North Berwick.

He best local chippy in North Berwick and some excellent pizzas. The people who run this place are excellent and when they get to know you they give you discount or something extra. A nice touch and they know how to look after regular customers but at the same time provide wonderful fish and chips.

Disgusting over priced rubbish, twice I have had food here twice its ended up in the bin. Save yourself some money and go elsewhere.

Very busy sunny day in north berwick and the two takeaways around the corner had massive queues ..so we decided to wander a bit longer and came across this chippy which was nearly empty...thinking we had perhaps lucked out we went in!! Unfortunately this was not lucky...there was a reason this place was empty!!! The woman serving us was surly and unhelpful and actually seemed annoyed at having to serve us. if i hadn't been hungry as hell i probably would of walked out disgusted by her attitude!! we took it on the chin though and just took our food as quickly as possible!! The worst was still to come however.....the food was horrible. It tasted both stale, dry and soggy...i dont even know how thats possible!! I'd advise everyone to avoid this nasty place at all costs!

Great fish & chips , kebabs and pizzas . My favourite out of the two chippies in North Berwick , I can also recommend the chicken pakora`s out of here very nice !
