I would say the food has gone down hill in Nando's quite a bit and is pretty tasteless and bland. The service was good, thanks to Daniel, but I would say there are much better places to eat in the local area for the same price.

First time at Nandos and was pleasantly surprised- the food was delicious, plenty of seating and easy service. Bathroom: 9/10- clean, easy to find, easy to use.

I have been ordering take away for months now but tonight had another bad experience. My chicken wings were not done at all and tasted horrible almost like raw. I finally decided to make a complain and was patronized by the Manager who tried to make me feel like an idiot for complaining. I ordered my food online 1hour in advance because I know how the restaurant is busy. In the end I was sent back without refund and food replacement. Will definitely not come back.

I was greeted and sat at a table fast enough but then, crickets…staff walking past me on a very quiet Tuesday just after 3pm not offering a drink. After 10 minutes I look up and the guy who sat me is chatting to the chefs over the pass. I got up and left too hungry to confront the matter. Very disappointing.

Chain of restaurants specializing in chicken with spicy sauces. Well priced dinner (around £20 each for a decent whole grilled chicken with a side dish and Coca cola). Friendly and rather precise service.

We arrived without a reservation, we had to wait a while but they took great care of us.

Rude incompetent staff. Ordered food through table barcode, app crashed and server advised it had went through and they are making the order. then 20 mins pass and they advise there’s no order so instead of making food demand that I come up and pay even though showed evidence of payment going through. No food in the end and no refund given. Avoid this branch at all costs.

Popped in and was greeted and seated promptly. Staff checked we knew how to order etc and we chose to order via the app. Drinks were delivered promptly and food arrived in good time. The food was hot, good portion sizes and was nice. It doesn't claim to be gourmet food, and for a chain restaurant we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is fairly big, but was warm and comfortable. Plenty seating for larger groups and unlimited soft drinks option is good. Good options for vegetarians.

What a cool place to stop in for lunch. The sauces are delicious!!!! Staff was kind. Food was good. Easy kids meal. Wrap was yummy. The lemon herb was delicious sause. Floor was a bit slippery Bathrooms clean

First time trying a “Nando’s” I don’t like this concept where you have to order every thing you want to eat. For example, you have to order chicken separately, fries separately, vegetables separately. You can't have all three in the same dish, but anyway. The PiriPiri chicken was very good, I had the herb sauce and it was very delicious. The staff was very friendly and efficient

Absolutely shocking service. I convinced friends to go there as we were celebrating a birthday, but we were terribly let down by poor service and stale food. I would not go back again.

The "manager" on the night has a dreadful attitude. He should really engage with his customers and welcome them. We were brought at least four wrong dishes to our table whilst we were there, showing a lack of control from the kitchen. Two of our party did not have their food arrive. When we enquired about where their food was they didn't have a clue. Then one of our party had his starters and mains arrive at the same time. An absolute terrible experience, from 2mins in there and being interacted with by the "manager". Will never be going back there after that.

I arrived 1818 and had a fringe show nearby at 7. I waited in the waiting area. When I asked, the host told me the chefs are very quick and I should receive my food in 5 or 10 mins. Seated at 1825 and received my food at 1835. Absolutely brilliant service!!!!

Came for a quick little meal with my partner yesterday around 8pm. We had Ellie serving us and she was amazing! Great banter and quick service from her. Food was great - no complaints and quick to our table. The manager seemed a bit young though and not particularly cheery towards customers or staff.

Noor was amazing today… like he was the actual goat, I was seriously surprised about how good the service I received was today and I was very happy with the recommendations from the server Noor and I would 100% come back give this man a raise Nando’s…

I just had a lovely meal at Lothian road nandos. I don’t usually leave reviews for places but I was given such a premium experience at this nandos unlike any others. My server was noor and he gave top notch customer service was constantly checking in and helped when there was an issue.

I'm a big Nando's fan and have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences at several of their other locations, which I would easily rate 5 stars. However, this particular Nando's location is a major disappointment and the worst I've been to. To start, the food quality here is severely lacking. The peri-peri chicken, which is normally the star of the show at Nando's, was incredibly bland and tasteless. It's as if the kitchen just rushed through the preparation without properly seasoning or cooking the chicken. Even the sides like the chips/fries seemed underseasoned and subpar. The service was also a major letdown. The staff seemed hurried and disinterested, barely acknowledging us as customers. Getting our orders taken, receiving our food, and getting refills on our drinks all took far longer than it should have. It felt like the staff just wanted to get us in and out as quickly as possible. And speaking of drinks, the worst part of this Nando's visit was the fountain drinks. They tasted absolutely watered down, like they were just serving straight tap water. For a restaurant chain that prides itself on quality, this was a shocking disappointment, especially since we were paying a premium for the unlimited refills. Overall, I'm shocked at how much this Nando's location missed the mark compared to all the others I've been to. The food was tasteless, the service was rushed and uncaring, and even the drinks were subpar. I'd give this specific location just 2 stars. I'll continue visiting other Nando's, but I won't be returning to this one anytime soon.

Brilliant food and superb service. A special thank you to the boy that served us - Rory! Not only was he polite and quick with our food, but he also donated both of his kidneys. He then offered to pay for my tuition fees right before fixing my dad’s alcohol addiction. I’ll be forever grateful to that young man.

Really great restaurant, the burgers are an 8 out of 10. Is recommended. The spft drink offer is great, you can always refill yourself. I was allowed to order two dishes for the burger, which was really great. Highly recommended and the price is okay.

This was my first time in Nando's. It was an awesome experience. Our server that came and sat us was awesome. The food was pretty tasty. Not everything was for us like the minty peas, but it was well cooked. The sauces were awesome, too. The Peri Peri Garlic was my favorite.

It was standard nandos, fairly pricey, you need to order at the kiosk, and no interaction with the staff after that.

Not the real Portuguese roasted chicken but close enough for the UK, I guess.

I’m from the states but when I visit the UK I always get nandos at least once. This location was fast polite and tasted great, no complaints!

Would not recommend getting the burgers (literally two dry pieces of bread and a piece of chicken in between) They were small and very dry; the bun was doughy and the burger was very unsatisfying overall.

I haven’t been to Nando’s for 5 years, but everything hit the spot yesterday. The portion was good, food was tasty, staff was super nice and helpful and the restaurant had its usual great vibe. Napkins etc. stocked well, restaurant was overall clean. We went for the whole chicken with 4 sides (peas, rainbow sla, corn cob and broccoli), see photo for ref. It was the perfect portion for 2 people. Food was served super fast.

As always the food was great, it generally always is at Nando's , the chicken was nice and the portion of fries was generous and delicious. What really stood out for me was the people that worked here, Really lovely and attentive, especially Pablo, they are really on top of making sure that you have a great experience there.

This place is absolutely outstanding. You are served quickly and the food is cooked efficiently too. Every time we have been, everything has been faultless. Great site on the Lothian Rd in a prime location with a view! More importantly, the quality of the food was 10/10 and such pleasant, welcoming staff! Thank you Cameron & your fellow colleagues. I came by train for a fast afternoon/eve visit from the Glasgow World Athletics Champs 2024 and decided to have my favourite meal. So glad I did! Cheers Ricardo

Bit disappointed in all honesty. Chicken seemed overcooked to me and was therefore dry and the chips were a bit over spiced for my taste. Just a personal opinion.

The food was ok. However, the chicken was no longer available with the burger we ordered, so they adjusted the dish after consultation. The service wasn't so good because the waiter refilled the dressings etc. in front of all the guests. That wasn't appetizing.

Good food, service was friendly, atmosphere I will justify - we dined for an early dinner/late lunch due to flying later that evening, we went in and the restaurant was empty, we were the only ones in there for a good half hour or so, and even when other tables arrived they were put in a different area to us. If we had dined during a busier period, the atmosphere I would assume would be a lot nicer, the restaurant itself is very nice.

Lovely staff and very quick service, however, the chicken had a strong smell of ashtray. It was extremely off putting. I was assured it was probably off the grill, though I've never known a grill to leave an odour or taste like that.

Al pedir la comanda tuvimos un problema con la tarjeta de crédito. La camarera que nos atendió se preocupó por solucionarlo y servirnos con rapidez. Su trato fue profesional y muy amable, nos hizo tener una buena primera impresión de nuestra llegada a Edinburgh. Nuestra comida estuvo bien, el pollo especiado y jugoso.

The best chiken in Edinburgh, I used to eat in Nando's Chicken in Virginia, at Stonebridge, Woodbridge.

I like the concept of placing your order yourself and not having servers. The food came out really quickly! I had the chicken wrap and my husband had the chicken sandwich. Both were tasty and it is fun to try all the sauces that are available. The wrap was pretty small but that could just be my perception as an American. Atmosphere is fine but the tables are a bit too close together.

Used to love coming here but this nandos is disgusting. Really dirty forks and knives that I had to clean myself. Fanta machine pouring out dirty water. Table was sticky and the screen partition was smeared with dirt and grease. All the staff just sitting around, one of them actually has a cigarette in her mouth inside the restaurant and is smoking at the back door with the smell of cigarette smoke blowing through the restaurant.

Good Nandos all round this one, recommend for good value city centre meal.

Reliable Nandos experience in pleasant, roomy premises with lots of windows looking out onto Lothian Road, the Usher Hall, the Film house, and the Lyceum Theatre. It's a very handy location for these venues and it is also close to the West end of Princes Street. I ordered and paid from the app and the food was delivered to the table along with my glass for the bottomless Coke Zero. My only criticisms are to do with the soft drinks fountain. The Coke Zero seemed to be set wrong, or running out of syrup, as it tasted watery. My server kindly took it away and refilled the glass with Diet Coke for me, so that was a positive experience. There Portobello mushroom pitta was delicious as ever, this time with an extra of grilled pineapple. I enjoyed the quiet, calm atmosphere (mid-afternoon!) and appreciated that they now offer free wi-fi. It has been well over a year since my last Nando's visit.

Staff said there was no option for manual check in so restaurant is mot accessible if you have no battery, or smartphone available. Worked out well as we enjoyed an amazing family lunch at the Italian opposite instead - Bar Italia Restaurante 100 Lothian Rd - gorgeous fresh authentic Sardinian dishes, incredible homemade ice cream and excellent friendly service. Beat going to a bland, overpriced, discriminatory corporate chain Nando's any day.

We have been to many Nandos before but I must say that the experience was really good at this one. We ordered at the table via the QR code/online system which was quite easy. There were enough staff and they were friendly, helpful and polite. I noticed that it was very clean and tidy all around the restaurant. The food was cooked and presented very nicely for a Nandos. Tasty and hot as well! The best Nandos I have been to in a long time.

One of the best restaurant experiences... We passed this Nando's on our way to the hotel and went for a bite to eat. The waitress explained the menu perfectly and all staff was really friendly. Our food arrived within 15 minutes and everyting was superb. Even the price was fairly cheap! I highly recommend eating here if you haven't yet.

Regular visitor here! The staff is super helpful and the food is delicious. Donna was our server today who was very keen and served the food fresh. Will be coming again!

I was greatly disappointed by the quality of the food. There is no words to describe how terrible the hummus is to me. The pita is hard and too chewy. The chicken sandwich is tasteless, cold and very dry. The service crew here is welcoming but the food quality here is horrible. I wished I never experienced it ever.
