Tuk Tuk in St Albans

Unfortunately the taste of the meal was not very good, the chicken that had sauce on look ok but when I tasted it, it was dry and very hard to eat and did not taste nice and the rice looked ok but the same thing the taste was so bad and very stodgy. Very disappointing as I have had better from this restaurant in the past.

Food was tasty as previously but this is the second time our crackers haven’t been delivered. The delivery guy suggested we call the restaurant to request a re delivery but the phone number on Just Eat and Google does not work. Won’t be ordering again

I was really hopeful because of all the people complaining it was spicy that it actually would be but this was mild at best. It was still flavorful at least but disappointed at the lack of spice

WARNING DO NOT ORDER - previously very happy with the Thai food and have had several good orders from here in the past but ordered a massaman (yep a massaman for goodness sake!) and a green curry and both were inedible - ridiculously over-spiced like a vindaloo. Requested a refund which was rejected so watch out if you try to order.

I have ordered Massaman before and it was lovely, however… my Massaman on Friday night was soo spicy I could not eat it. Absolutely ruined my whole meal.

The food was really spicy. Completely different taste to ever time I’ve ordered before. Don’t understand why it’s changed.

Before we ordered said 20-25 minutes. 70 minutes to the door, only 5 -10 minutes 'late' (according to the delivery window provided once we'd paid).

Pad thai was foul and completely inedible. Actually amazing that someone could get such a simple dish so badly wrong. Same for the chilli & basil chicken.

We ordered as a last minute Tuesday take away. Arrived on time, food was piping hot (and we are a good 15 minutes away) and delicious. Portions we’re a good size and well priced. Will definitely order again.

Awful quality and taste . Chicken reconstituted, duck spring rolls inedible .Beef with outer sauce horrible and bits of beef inedible . Prawn toast overcooked . I would never return !

Worst Thai restaurant ever. Had to go to the loo for 6 times after eating this nasty food. Never gonna order again. Soup had sand in it. Noodles was soaked in oil. Couldn’t eat the noodles and soup because of sand. Want my money back.

The delivery eventually came after 2 hours of ordering which was very dissapointing. The starters were not sub-par on the quality. WIll not be orderining from Tuk Tuk again.

The curry was amazing, and the satay was moist and delicious. However, It was over an hour waiting for the food to arrive and despite leaving instructions for the driver had to go out and meet him at his car rather than arrive at our door. We were let know the wait immediately but that didn't stop hungry teens moaning at us.

Spring rolls were all pastry with hardly any filling. Vegetable Pad Thai was manky broccoli, carrot and mini sweetcorn. Not very appetising. Won't order again.

WE placed an order last night around 7.30 and it didn't arrive until 9.30. I rang the restaurant 10 times to try to cancel it as it was too late for us to eat by then. No one answered, so it arrived. We haven't eaten it. I don't feel that we should pay for this meal and would like to request a refund. I am not sure how we do this with Just Eat as your website does not offer me a means to contact customer service that I can see. I have had to give one star for everything as you wont let me leave it blank but i cant really tell you about food quality as we havent eaten it. The delivery person was very apologetic. I am hoping this will find someone. Please can you come back to me asap.

Very good food. Had to wait quite a while for it to arrive but was reassured that it was coming after contacting the restaurant. Understandably busy as it was Valentine’s night.

Thai green curry is exceptional, best one around by far, coconut rice compliments the curry perfectly, my new favourite takeaway

Food was not hot but warm and soon went cold. Same as when last ordered. Ordered a bottle of lemonade which was meant to be fizzy but was absolutely flat. Overall a poor takeaway really and wouldn't recommend.

Food didn't turn up after an hour and a half. Restaurant wouldn't answer calls. Had to order elsewhere. Its not ideal!

When my order didn’t turn up I tried to call the restaurant over a dozen times to say don’t bother - that was after waiting 1.5 hours. In the end had to contact Just Eat because it was getting ridiculous - 2 hours after I ordered the delivery man turned up. By this time I’ve put my own dinner on to cook and sent him away - won’t be eating here ever again - Friday night treat ruined

food was slightly late, i called restaurant, girl on the phone was lovely and polite, was kind enough to call me back with an exact eta from the driver, food was banging, loved the thai green curry, probably the best ive had, loads of chicken and the sauce was fresh and very tasty, looking forward to ordering again

I order regularly from here and it’s normally lovely. Tonight’s was like it had been made by a different chef. Chicken was gristly and rice was hard as if it was old rice reheated (chicken rice) and the chicken satay skewers are normally lovely and big, tonight were really thin and little but tasted ok. Hoping it’s just a bad day as really enjoy our food normally. Gutted tonight though as we were really looking forward to it, chicken rice never got eaten.

It arrived about 25 mins after I received the text advising it was on it’s way & it was cold.

Order at 7.20pm, called the restaurant at 8.20 and was told the food was ready and the driver was 5 mins away. 9pm now and still no food. Called the restaurant again and was told the driver was getting lost. We are in a TOWN. Not in the middle of nowhere to be lost!

Food was really moreish especially the soft shell crab . Would like to see an added option for more vegetables or description of vegetables with future orders .

Ordered at 19.17 and said it would be with me by 20.05. Didn’t end up arriving until 21.00. Over an hour and a half for a delivery isn’t good enough I’m afraid. Really disappointed and won’t be ordering from them again

The Thai curries were very nice but unfortunately the portion of spring rolls and prawn toast is a joke. The duck spring rolls were 3 small pieces same with the toast.

Pure quality and fresh and succulent

Good sized main portion, but only 3 tiny duck rolls and all of the vegetables were over done. Pad Thai was over cooked and did not have authentic vegetables, just soggy carrots, broccoli and a bean.

Really tasty food. The chicken in my yellow curry was so tender. Well spiced, but not hot just for the sake of it. Delivery quoted at 17.30 but arrived at 17.10pm.

Yum food, delivery was behind schedule

Very disappointing. I ordered squid for £5.95 and got 6 bite sized pieces. £1 per bite. I ordered spicy noodles which were ridiculously spicy - I could barely eat them. Then prawn toast - 3 small pieces. Overpriced, and to top it all off I had to wait an hour and 40 minutes for it.

Food was delicious but one of the Massaman Curries was mostly potatoes when we’d ordered a Chicken version so was a bit disappointing

Saw the reviews and wasn't sure, but given their prices compared to other places in St Albans I thought it was worth a try. So glad I did. I ordered Thai Green chicken curry and egg fried rice. Basic but I know what to exptect. Curry: Large foil container, great flavour, nice and chilli hot but not mind blowingly hot, really creamy, lots of tender thick sliced chicken. Rice: Regular sized foil container, light on the oil and a good flavour. Overall 9.5/10 for good value, food that didn't disappoint in any way and delivery within 40 minutes.

As a vegetarian the only real complaint I have with this take away is on the selection. If I want tofu, so I have a protein mix with my meal my options are limited. I would like to see on the menu the option to have main dishes with tofu.
