Went on a Saturday night and it was a great atmosphere. No nonsense and lots of singing and dancing

A lovely traditional English pub. Friendly and welcoming staff, spotlessly clean, clean toilets, lovely and cozy outdoor seating area with cover. Mature and friendly clientele. Highly recommend a visit. My wife and I have already decided that this pub will be our "go to" pub next time we are in Romsey.

I love this pub. It's a proper old school boozer, it has a courtyard style garden to the side which is covered in places. Dates back to Tudor times hence the name. I've not had any food here yet so can't comment. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely old pub. Really small and cosy, with an open fire. There's a dart board, and the beer selection is pretty good. More than anything it just feels so quaint.

A lovely warm genuine pub. This place hasn't changed much since I first visited a few decades ago. Beer is kept nicely and service is very good. Still a gem.

Lovely friendly place. Nice old style pub. Staff friendly and welcoming. They have Live music on here. Nicely decorated for Christmas. Situated in Romsey town centre. Would go again and recommend

Basic boozer could be good for a afternoon pint, but a frosty reception of a bar lady who clearly didn't want to be there. I'm not a local, if I was I may have got a more friendly welcome, I tried some banter but blank looks back. Ale was OK...Tribute and small wine over 10 quid pricey. The Star nearby was much better and 2 quid cheaper.

Nice pint of cider. Visited again and have to say its still serves a nice pint of cider. I will say this again when I visit next time and google asks me to comment

Very old pub with just the one bar - but it has a welcoming real fire for the winter! Good selection of beer, friendly staff, right in the middle of the town.

Beer is relatively cheap. Open fire is good.

Went there at the Beggar's Fair in Romsey with my friends. As expected it was packed. I usually frequent the Tudor Rose when I visit Romsey due to the friendliness of the staff.

This is a real pub they are cash only and the staff team are great ,friendly, and information of the area is good must visit .....ps.... the GUINNESS is very good

only went in there once its is very small but the musician they had in there then was great cant member his name

Popped in before curry house booking. 8 of us in our group and if we weren't so hungry would have stayed there the rest of the night. Good honest beer, warm welcome and great band. Was born and bred in Romsey and good to know the Tudor Rose is still a real pup.

Nice proper local pub, friendly feel from the staff. Range of Ales on, though the 6X wasn't fantastic, there were other ales that were up to par. They don't do card transactions though, cash only.

Decent pub located conveniently in the centre of Romsey. Friendly staff, relatively nice atmosphere and prices not bad for Romsey. Would recommend, however nothing makes it particularly stand out to warrant the fifth star.

Lovely old pub with good beer, good service and a nice beer garden. Only went in to see if the names of my great great grandparents were on the wall as they ran the place many many years ago, but couldn't see it, still had a lovely time in there though! Good music being played in there too!!

OK little pub. Nice with an open fire. Attracts the odd 'Last of the Summer Wine', characters, so can experience their colourful language. Apparently it's the oldest bar in Romsey? 1475 A.D. UPDATE: Be aware that this pub is CASH only? 2019 and they put a sign...BEHIND the bar!!! Logic might dictate that the appropriate place for this sign...would be on the entrance door and thus avoid the potentially embarrassing situation of one, actually ordering drinks and then being informed that cash is necessary!!! Still worth a visit if only for the history.

A real pub. The only problem was, walking in this evening, people had been smoking inside (which is illegal) so avoid.
