Beautiful Hotel in a lovely village. Rooms are beautiful and well laid out. Luxury Bramley toiletries, dressing gowns, coffee machine and fridge in room. Resterant serves delicious food from local suppliers. Fantastic wine menu. Breakfast has excellent choices and again delicious. Staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Great afternoon tea with good service in a beautiful village and in a Tudor house .

We had two fantastic dinners whilst staying at the hotel; taster menu one evening and a la carte the next. The taster menu was one of the best meals I have ever had. The food was absolutely delicious and looked amazing. Warm bread was served with the meal and we were offered more if we wanted it. The service was attentive without being overbearing and the chef sent out an extra surprise treat for our birthdays.

Congratulations to the Tudor Farmhouse team. Superb hotel with great service, lovely surroundings in a small village and a top quality dining experience. The head chef Gavin stopped to chat with us after his shift and was delighted to tell us about his produce, menu and wines. The front desk and bar team were a pleasure and couldn't do enough - producing a bespoke walk of the local footpaths. The rooms were presented to a very high standard with excellent mattress, pillows and bedding. Highly recommended for a lazy culinary weekend or active walking and sights of the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. Thank you. Paul & Julia C

We booked a weekend away at the hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The package we chose was “The Foodie Experience” and we were not disappointed. Service was A* … every member of staff spoke as if they knew the menu intimately. Knowledgable, passionate, able to confidently make recommendations. The surroundings were lovely. The one room feels more modern but the darker light created a nice ambience. The main dining room is rustic, warm and cosy. On the first night we had a five course taster menu… plus muse-bouche and petit-fours. Portions were not big enough to leave you bloated and didn’t need to be. The richness of flavours and freshness of product was just perfect. Every course was great but I’d happily recommend the beef with ox cheek eight days a week! The highlight however was the dessert, a passion fruit “compressed cream” with a pineapple salsa and pear sorbet. The following night we had the à la carte which was equally sublime. The pork was sublime and the dessert again wonderful … thanks Chef for doing your signature spiced apple and caramel dessert without the calvados! Great value, brilliant taste and super service.

I booked three nights here for my girlfriends 27th birthday- it was a perfect combination of relaxation and good cuisine. The location is a great HQ to go on long, winding walks in the local area; knowing that there was a good meal at the end of it certainly gave us peace of mind! The staff were very accommodating, and offered us advice to where to walk/visit. The food was very well done, both the breakfast and dinners. With a plethora of options for dinner, we were spoilt for choice. All around a great weekend!

I stayed here overnight for a funeral in the area. I'm very glad I did. What a brilliant stay. It exceeded my expectations in all departments. Firstly they were very accommodating to my request for late check out. I was shown to my room. I booked the smallest room but it was still pretty big, very high ceilings, high quality fixtures and fittings. Good size bathroom with huge shower. Coffee machine and tea in room. Flannels provided! Hooray! Bedding all of the best quality. And they have 2 electric car chargers in the car park. Food exceptional. Best mackerel I've ever had. Lovely breakfast. I know it seems expensive but for what you get it is actually very good value. Couldn't fault the place, from food, to the room to the service. Highly recommended.

Had a three night stay at the Tudor Farmhouse Hotel and ate at the restaurant every night, the food and service was outstanding!! The two room choice gave it a cosy feel and the menu was varied with something for everyone. If you have an allergy, they ensure that you are not asked every time you eat. Highly recommended and we will be back ❤️

We were on half board as part of a 3 night stay. Breakfast was good - perfect eggs Benedict and the tastiest bacon that I’ve had in ages. Limited selection of cereals etc, but good enough as it’s a small hotel. The evening menu is also quite small ( 2 meat, 2 fish and 2 veggie that change monthly), but the quality can’t be faulted. We couldn’t choose a favourite between the quality of the beef and the flavour of the peppercorn sauce with the pork. The apple tart with caramel sauce just pipped the chocolate cremeux into first place. Great service and no problems with tweaks to accommodate my fussiness ( sorry Gavin!). The only minor quibble was the cost of soft drinks not being shown on the menu ( other than mocktails).

We had a delicious meal at the Tudor Farmhouse Restaurant. Both my husband and I had the pork for main course and it was delicious. I followed this with a most tasty dark Chocolate very light mouse. All in all an excellent meal .

Fabulous food over a new year break. We took advantage of a two day break at the hotel that included Dinner on both nights. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, particularly the tasting menu on New Year’s Eve. We would recommend anyone to eat there even if you are not staying. We will certainly return.

My husband and I spent Christmas at the Tudor Farmhouse with four of our children. The entire stay was absolutely wonderful. From the rooms to the staff to the food, nothing could be faulted. We also brought a four month old retriever puppy who was treated like royalty. A lot of hotels claim to be dog friendly, but this one went over and above our expectations. Geoff, our Boxing Day walk guide, was terrific and shared with us lots of local knowledge. We would like to mention Katy, Sammy and Dawson who looked after us all so well. Thank you.

Nice atmosphere in a cosy village for Christmas. We went for Christmas dinner and it was very nice overall but the portions were quite small, especially the starter, and slightly overpriced for the amount of food. Good quality though and cosy area!

We had a three night stay including breakfasts and dinners. The food was delicious! The Eggs Florentine were amazing, and the fruit salad was fresh and tasty. The dinner menu was classic, extremely well executed, with good variety to suit omnivores, pescatarians, and vegetarians. Large wine list, with great options by the glass. The petit fours mince pies were absolutely incredible - crisp buttery pastry and a perfect way to end the meal.

This was our 3 visit for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast. As allows, very good food provided by very helpful staff.

We recently stayed for a long weekend at Tudor Farmhouse and enjoyed 3 delicious breakfasts. The Other Half had everything he could each day and it was all perfectly prepared and cooked. They even had Marmite for our toast! I was a little more reserved and had the yoghurt pots and poached and scrambled eggs (on different days!) with smoked salmon. We had a light meal on the evening we arrived and again the standard of presentation and flavours was excellent. The only reason we didn't enjoy a full evening meal on any of the nights we were there was because we were out meeting friends for lunch each day and we only need one full meal a day! Couldn't fault what we did have.

Beautiful place. Food was lovely although they didn't do roast potatoes to go with the roast dinners, They served us chips instead cause they don't cook roast potatoes on an evening, which I found bizarre for the amount of money they took from us It's more for couples due to it being very small. So a large party like we had, was hard to fit us all in Overall, nice experience I don't think I would go back

We stayed the weekend at Tudor Farmhouse and contary to normal, we elected to have dinner in both nights. Great decision. Each course had several options that we would have willingly ordered. The food was novel, interesting, delicious and beautifully presented. Additionally, the staff were lovely. So pleased we chose to stay in and thoroughly enjoy both our dinners.

This is a beautiful Tudor building and a stunning boutique hotel. We enjoyed lunch here prior to having a massage , one of the many additional experiences they offer . The food was delicious. The service was great and the environment was stunning. The massage which was inside a quirky shepherds hut was amazing, and Sarah was knowledgeable and an exceptionally good masseuse. I would really recommend a visit.

We ate in the restaurant for the three nights we stayed there. The menu caters for a diversity of tastes. We were a little disappointed that there was no Wild Boar in an area where there are. However the beef and pork is excellent, the plates beautiful. The vegetarian options are very imaginative and a good choice given. Breakfasts catering is generous and should appeal to everyone.

Aussehen und Qualität top. Das Ambiente isst auch sehr schön, wir würden den Raum vielleicht ein kleines bisschen heller beleuchten, so dass man das grossartige Essen noch besser sehen kann.

Lovely and quaint hotel. Very vegan friendly, both for dinner and breakfast. We had a full 3 courses dinner with onion soup, followed by beet polenta & vegetables and we finished with a chocolate mousse for dessert. All 3 were delicious! At breakfast we feasted on a vegan English breakfast followed by a soya yogurt with granola and toast. Perfect! Great service all around, quick and charming. Would definitely recommend the place !

We first stayed here a few years ago and have returned again every year. For our most recent visit we stayed in a lovely Cockrel room which was in the main Tudor building, had a four poster bed and a luxurious large bathroom with a rolltop bath and separate shower. The food is always delicious and there are great vegetarian options. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly as always. The hotel is located in an idilic village with some lovely countryside walks you can do from the hotel. Would highly recommend Tudor Farmhouse to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

We stayed 2 nights whilst attending a wedding at the Castle. We had 'The Cottage' twas like a holiday cottage. Very warm welcome. Exceptionally clean. Very delicious dinner and breakfast. Locally produced, high quality food served. Very nice wine list and a beautiful bottle of Chablis. Real milk, bottled water and home made cookies in the room. A pleasant and relaxing stay. We will be returning come autumn.

We have stayed several times at the Farmhouse and the food is one of the main attractions. Meals are fairly leisurely which gives time to savour each course. The wine list is quite splendid!

Afternoon tea ordered. Lovely sandwiches, cakes and scones. Can't fault the quality. However it was £40 for 8 finger sandwiches, 2 scones and some tiny cakes. All lovely but I think overpriced. Pasta cooked for the children. Went with 3 children under 4. They are not really set up for children. Bone China provided for the babies. No Nappy bins in the washrooms.
