Absolutely stunning food! Everything made fresh to order and tasted as such. The service was top notch and the chef's passion for their food was evident for all to see! I recommend this fantastic resturant to everyone including family and friends and will certainly be returning ourselves.

Tasty food and relatively inexpensive.. Bear in mind that this isn't a michellin star restaurant, and you won't be disappointed

Visited this place every morning last week for a full english breakfast. So nice went back for dinner every day as well. The pizza and home made pie are absolutely amazing! Highly recommend to pay this place a visit.

We called here for some food other than what else was on offer such as chippy or a hotdog! The menu looked ok with a few bits to choose from. I went for the pollo Stilton , chicken and bacon in a Stilton sauce! My friend had the same. It didn’t taste of Stilton and was the thinnest sauce I’ve ever seen. Chicken was pretty dry too. My friend actually threw hers up just after eating it. 2 of our party had carbonara! It was not pleasant at all. I tried some myself and it left the most horrible taste and a film in my mouth. The sauce was not made with fresh cream , it tasted like it was elmlea a sweet UHT cream replacement!

We stumbled across this place and decided to pop in for some food. Wow it was amazing lovely staff beautifully clean reasonably priced and had the best cheese and mushroom omelette EVER !!! my friends had bacon & egg baps which were equally as good. Definitely would recommend a visit. We all said thank you to all the staff and chef personally keep doing g what your doing guys 👌👌👌

All the food tasted great, service was above and beyond they cooked my partner an English breakfast 30 minutes after they had stopped serving breakfast food. We all enjoyed our meals and will return

Staff stand at the counter and stare at you the whole time you are there, making judging looks at you. absolutely horrible atmosphere and will never come back again.

Had pizza x 2, topping very poor on both more base than topping. Burnt on the edge of both. Garlic bread excellent. Chips under cooked, salad good. Was good price had it been totally edible. Clean environment, friendly service.

My café of choice when on the east coast. The staff are always welcoming and friendly, and the food is excellent with large portions.

Spent nearly £15 on 3 sandwiches.. To come home to 1 Sausage 1 bacon 1 egg 1/2 spoon of tomatoes on a hard breadcake for one of my sandwiches that cost 4.75 alone Rip off

Been eating at this cafe for years and have never had a bad meal. Went this morning for a full English breakfast and the lady who served us was really lovely. Food is always good quality and reasonable prices.

Just been in here as a party of 27 after booking earlier that day. Waitresses were brilliant and nothing was to much trouble. Food was spot on, no pre orders needed and all came our freshly cooked with no issued. Including starters for some, mains for everyone and desserts for the kids. Thank you!

Had mould on my toast and not even a apology. Still wanted to charge full price for meal. After seeing that mould put me off the rest of my meal will not be coning back again!

Previously had lovely food here. However, homemade fishcakes were chipshop ones, with no texture in the middle and deep fried. Chips seemed like frozen type. My mussel shells were broken, so had to spit my food out.

Friendly staff but prices are too high. Almost £5 for a bacon and egg sandwich of which a lot of it was fat. £2.50 for a small bottle of orange juice and £2.20 for a can of drink. Disappointed with the quality of food and prices. £13+ for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks means I won’t be returning.

We came here last year and the food was to die for really very good to the point we eat here most days of our hoilday.. we had a 2nd meal in there yesterday after being down here since Saturday this year and unfortunately I don't know what's happened but on both of occasions it was so salty it was virtually pretty impossible to eat I thought first time witch was Saturday it may of been me putting to much salt on it as it does come out to fast but after we had a meal in there again last night and I didn't use salt it still felt like I was eating it off the sea bed I'm gutted cause me and my family love this place but until thay sort this out we will not be going back and finding alternatives places to eat please guys if your reading this stop over seasoning your food with salt and spoiling it..

Bad atmosphere as a member of staff approached my wife and asked her to change her dress there is absolutely no dress code they should really state how they expect people to dress if they want to insult people for wearing dresses it's really dingy inside we ordered food and my wife stated four times she wanted a portion of chips and they ignored her and I'm the end she had nothing also we ordered an apple juice for our child and they sent orange juice they clearly can't follow simple instructions which is absolutely vital as a restraunt owner/waiter waitress then when my wife was asked if everything was OK she told a lovely waitress who said she can only pay for half because of the error on the waiters behalf the waiter who took our order also tried to make her pay the full amount and argued with her saying she didn't ask for her order despite being told by our son who also heard her say what she wanted very disappointed in the end she did only pay half but its very overpriced for what you get

I was treat rubbish the waiter forgot to write my order so I didn’t have a meal then he tried to argue with me saying he didn’t hear me ask for my dish he would accept criticism and he even got the drinks wrong a young girl who worked there was polite and listened to my complaint and gave me money off they also asked me to go home and change as it wasn’t appropriate yet they have no dress code I was very insulted I would not recommend the food is well over priced not worth wasting money

Fantastic food had the seabass and my wife had chic in white wine sauce cooked to perfection, looks like a cafe from the outside but its one of the best places to go for food in the area and serve's drink aswell ,bonus, staff friendly

Had a fantastic breakfast at the weekend. Staff are very friendly. Food took awhile, but worth it when it arrived. Toilet is immaculately clean.

Decent food and drink at good prices.

We went in for a coffee, and the latte was pretty much all foam. As someone who works as a barista, I know this isn’t how a latte is supposed to be. I don’t know if it’s the level of training or if it was rushed, but I would have expected more although syrup in the coffee was nice and so was the service.

Fantastic service, very friendly and polite. Our group had cream teas, a bacon 'bap' and a hot chocolate. The food was absolutely amazing and the hot chocolate was presented very impressively! A washroom in the café. I would highly recommend this café and the prices are reasonable too. We visited at the end of the season but everything was still great about it.

Pounced on as soon as arrived. Floor filthy under tables. Food quite nice but service not so good. Toilet very undesirable. Won't be back..

The nuggets were tough and gross. We ordered 4 meals and it was all bland with no flavour. And very incredibly over priced, and not worth the money.

If you don't like onions or garlic ....stay away from this place!! Everything is smothered with them.

Just spent a week in Chapel St Leonards and went to Trunch Cafe every morning for Breakfast's and most nights for evening meals. Food was excellent and Staff was very friendly. Only issues was they kept forgetting the extra toast we ordered and giving us Lincolnshire sausage when we ordered Pork Sausages with our Breakfasts but soon as we raised the issue with the staff they quickly rectified the issues... 5 Stars from me and would recommend Trunch Cafe to anyone on holiday in Chapel St Leonards.

Absolutely excellent food every time, without fail. The staff are a wonderful team of folk and happy to chat and help wherever they can. The chefs listen and will cook to your preferences. The quality of the food for the prices paid is perfect - every time is a nice experience and something to keep you going for the day ahead. Top notch!

Went hear for tea dry rubber tasting nuggets dry earthy tasting chips i had a bacon cheese omelette didn't evan taste like eggs was very rubbery bacon not cooked rite was still pink no one seem to care defo will not go back hear evan if it was the only place to get food disgusting an it was 30 odd quid witch I thought was very over priced for food that taste like it was done in a microwave my opinion place needs shutting down as now I feel sick as a dog an no I wouldn't evan feed it to the dog

Walked in, went to the counter to order and the staff member serving us was so rude. Didn't smile, look up, or say hello. When the food / drink were brought over to us, they were dumped on the table and the waitress walked away. Some of the staff were pleasant and polite but the ones serving us certainly weren't. The icing on the cake was the undercooked eggs, somehow they were both raw and burnt.
