Truly Splendid vintage tearoom in Lewisham

Este salón de té se encuentra dentro del clubhouse financiado por la lotería Newish para Lewisham Tigers JFC pero, ubicado en la esquina de un espacio verde vallado con jardín comunitario, este es un lugar encantador para venir en cualquier momento con los niños. Hay una gran variedad de comidas y bebidas, y el servicio es personal y amable. ¿Que es no gustar?

Un gran café, increíbles pasteles increíbles. Un gran café, ideal para una familia o para reunirse con amigos. El personal tan amable y siempre se ven fabulosos! ¡Grandes pequeños regalos también, las tarjetas son lindas!

El modesto exterior del portacabin en los campos de juego de Abbotshall Road desmiente este pequeño salón de té realmente dulce y acogedor. Mi bebé y yo asistimos a un grupo semanal en el vecino Healthy Lifestyle Center, pero nunca tuve tiempo de visitar el salón de té. Al llegar un poco temprano hoy, decidí tomar un café mientras esperaba y escribir algunas tarjetas de Navidad que acababa de comprar. Era silencioso (alrededor de las 11:15 a.m.), pero como es pequeño, puedo imaginar que se llene con bastante facilidad durante las horas punta. Después de pedir mi café noté el menú 'libre de' en el mostrador, que enumeraba una buena variedad de opciones veganas como tostadas de queso, guindillas y bollos con crema de coco. Las opciones de leche para las bebidas calientes son la soja y la almendra, y no cobran extra por las opciones no lácteas. Aunque me hubiera encantado haber visto (y hubiera tenido la tentación de) un pastel vegano, este tipo de elección es realmente impresionante para una pequeña sala de té comunitaria. El café fue excelente y el ambiente es muy lindo y acogedor. Me alegré de haber llegado temprano, y ahora planeo hacerlo nuevamente en el futuro. Estoy particularmente ansioso por probar esos bollos.

Fuimos aquí ayer, para una despedida de 1950. Fue fantástico. Las dos mujeres era muy servicial y amable. Los tés eran preciosas, todas dispuestas en vajilla vintage. Los rollos de salchichas son una obligación, también! Si quieres una experiencia verdaderamente vintage, este es el lugar para ir! 👍 10 / 10

Really nice atmosphere, (shabby chic/cath kidston-y like) with children's play corner, lovely china & plenty of little cute things to buy just scattered around. The home made food is Amazing and plenty to choose from & the cakes really taste as good as they look. The prices are affordable & portions generous. You can really tell the owner has put her heart in the caff and is doing really great job building her clientele and making people come back. Well done Truly Splendid - I will be definitely visiting again (and again... ;)

Wow!!!! A truly splendid hidden gem tearoom in Catford. The staff are accommodating to your dietary needs and very friendly, you always get served with a smile. The tearoom is very vintage, cosy, cute & clean. There was a variety of teas & coffees, hot food, cakes & afternoon teas on offer. The coffee & cakes were amazing!! This is going to be a favourite haunt of mine for sure. Go see for yourself, I promise you that you won't be disappointed.

What an amazing find. Where can you go nowadays where the cakes and scones homemade soups are made right in front of you. Delicious well priced homemade food in comfy surroundings. Cant wait for my next visit

Had a truly splendid time at the tea room with a friend and our two 3 year olds. The food is very reasonably priced, tasty and good sized portions. The service however was amazing. A very relaxed, friendly atmosphere with plenty of toys for the children to play with. A very family friendly place but great for a bit of adult alone time as well judging by some of the other customers. A good selection of teas and coffee all served with a vintage smile. Thank you for a lovely time. We will be back!!!!!

Amazing hospitality and beautiful cakes. I visited with my boyfriend this weekend and the cheddar and bacon toastie was so good! Great tea too!

This is a wonderful tearoom with a great atmosphere and an ever so friendly staff! Love their menu, which got everything from breakfast to lunches. They cater for all sorts of dietary requirements and for vegans too. My absolute favourite is Jenni's delicious soup of the day with artisan gluten free sourdough roll. My daughter loves the kids meals, my son loves her cakes and they enjoy the toy corner and the activities run by the centre. It's also a breastfeeding friendly place, with the most comfortable easy chairs ! They also got free wifi, which is handy.

We have visited the Truly Splendid tearoom many times now. Tucked away in Catford's Corbett estate, its not something that can be stumbled upon, but well worth tracking down. Both food and drink are top notch and the vintage decoration add a real homely feel. We are always made to feel welcome too! Certainly recommend a visit for anyone in the area.

This cafe is a real find in Catford. The vintage style crockery and teapots create a fun teaparty atmosphere. The food is delicious - we had bean chilli which was really tasty as were the toasties cakes and scones. The children then happily played with the toys provided whilst the adults could enjoy a peaceful coffee. There is also a lovely outdoor space for warmer weather. The staff are very helpful and did all they could to ensure we were all comfortable and well catered for. There are also some great unusual gifts for sale from local craftspeople. I have been several times already and look forward to returning again soon.

Our party of twelve enjoyed a Christmas High Tea in December. Delicious cakes, Truly SPLENDID Christmas setting and service with a smile. Jenni (owner), always goes the extra mile for all her customers and we each came away with doggy bags!
