Hace poco celebramos el 50 cumpleaños de mi pareja con una experiencia gastronómica privada inolvidable, ¡y no podría estar más feliz con cómo resultó! Desde el momento en que llegamos, el ambiente era acogedor, y el servicio era impecable. La comida era simplemente divina. El entrante de albóndigas era nada menos que *orgásmico* - lleno de sabor y cocinado a la perfección. El pollo principal era tierno, jugoso y lleno de delicia, mientras que el café Panna Cotta era un postre decadente por el que morir, con el equilibrio perfecto de dulzura y textura. Las bebidas fluyeron sin problemas toda la noche, manteniendo a todos de buen humor, pero lo que realmente hizo especial la noche fue el chef. No solo la comida era excepcional, sino que el chef mismo era un verdadero personaje: atractivo, entretenido y trajo un toque divertido y personal a toda la noche. Fue una noche de comida increíble, grandes bebidas y risas interminables, y no podríamos haber pedido una mejor manera de celebrar tal hito. Tim has a fun personality and that comes out with his cooking! Everything was delicious and you just leave it up to him which is so nice for a change. The kofta was a nice start, duck just fell off the bone, veg was perfect and dessert was just a nice way to finish.

Fabulous Sunday lunch. Three courses, great value and quality. Each dish is introduced by rock n roller chef Tim who is a complete character with salt of the earth descriptions of each dish. If you are lucky he will bang out a song on the guitar at the end of service. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish, melt in the mouth meat and the roast potatoes were epic, I left one which I now regret - should have put it in my handbag! Highly recommended for a real experience.

To start with I have to say that I am a friend of Tim Owen who runs this place. I have eaten here many times and it was delicious every single time! Added bonus is that you can bring your own drink. Tim specialises on roasts, and you will struggle to find better elsewhere. Yesterday we had slowcooked lamb that was so tender and flavoursome, followed by an excellent mousse au chocolat. The setting downstairs is very unique, you are surrounded by all sorts of Antiques and it's very cosy. You need to book well in advance as space is limited. Today we had a barley risotto with tomato and chorizo, followed by a pork shoulder with cabbage and carrot, finally a lemon posset to clean the palate. If you like Sunday roast, this is the place to come to!

Last weekend I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Truffled of Totterdown for the first time. Firstly, the setting was so cozy and relaxing. The music was great and it was wonderful being able to smell the delicious food being cooked. Secondly, I love how Tim greeted us and the waitresses were lovely. Tim explained each course and I love his energy and passion, it completely shines through. Now..the food…just wow! Each course was incredibly delicious. I had a vegetarian roast and each vegetable, each sauce was very well flavoured. I loved how Tim explained where he got the vegetables from. I have to say, I haven’t ever experienced such great service and I haven’t had a better meal out before. I cannot wait to come back, being fed by somebody who is that passionate and talented about cooking is something very special. Thank you so much Tim and the team, we can’t wait to visit next year 💕.

We recently visited Truffled for Sunday lunch with a group of friends, and it was a truly delightful experience. The entire meal was nothing short of exceptional, leaving us all with smiles on our faces. First and foremost, the food was outstanding. Every element of our Sunday lunch was meticulously prepared and presented. The flavours were rich and perfectly balanced, From the succulent slow cooked lamb to the beautifully cooked veggies it was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. Tim took the time to engage with our group, sharing stories and making us feel welcomed. His passion for food shines through adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our visit. The ambiance of Truffled added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. The cozy yet stylish interior created a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect place for a leisurely/chilled Sunday lunch with friends. In conclusion, if you are looking for a truly memorable Sunday lunch you have to go. We’re already looking forward to our next visit! Sorry no photos we dug straight in!

I really liked how every dish was described in detail from ingredients, preparation and presentation. I had an incredible experience and will definitely be going back. Tim does the best roast in Bristol by far! The best part is it is always something different each time you go, and he combines unique and different flavours which elevates everything to another level. The trimmings get as much love as the meat and that is rare! Some of the standouts for me over the years have been the garlic butter greens, the butternut squash and truffle purée, and the roasted celeriac that goes almost caramelised. Duck fat roasties are unbelievable. Seasoning always on point. 3 courses for £28 which is an absolute bargain and given the quality of the food he should definitely be charging more!! The belly pork and slow cooked lamb have been some of the highlights for me and I love the fact we get salsa verde alongside gravy as it cuts through the meat and adds so much flavour. The belly pork I had today melted in your mouth. Starters and desserts always as good as the main. My favourite starter was the panzanella but they can range from soups to bean stews to pan fried fish. Tim is an incredibly versatile and talented chef and it’s always the best afternoon visiting Truffled. He is an absolute legend and I am very happy for him that the restaurant is getting so popular but sad for me because I will now have to wait a while to go back again!! We celebrated a 60th Birthday and Tim was the absolute best host. The food was delicious, the atmosphere fantastic and the whole evening was made complete by friendly humour of our host. I couldn’t recommend Truffled enough. We will definitely be booking again.

We booked this Sunday lunch for my birthday after seeing lots of good reviews. We were in the private dining area as there were 6 of us, the room was lovely, then came the food......perfection on a plate. 3 course Sunday lunch and it was absolutely delicious. So much flavour in all of it. The butterbean and chorizo starter was amazing. We had chicken supreme for the main and it was all so good, the potatoes were perfectly crispy and flavoursome and the serving was big. The carrots with orange and nigella seeds were lovely too, I could go on and on as it was all so delicious including the dessert. The chef Tim talked us through all of the ingredients and sat and had chat and a drink with us at the end of our meal, Great place, great food and fun company!

Had the pleasure in being hosted by Tim and both times have been amazing, a 10 out of 10 experience. Tim is a genius chef that cooks everything to perfection, and everything tastes beautifully. Tim's an excellent character and every time we go we have good laughs and all all around top experience. I love the fact you don't know what you are getting but never been disappointed in any of the courses I have had. Excellent value for money also. Canbot wait to go back!

Wow !! Awesome !! 8 of us had an exceptional time yesterday (28/5) . The food really was a different level - 3 fabulous courses all wonderfully prepared and presented - so many flavours intertwined throughout - then add the personality and character of the chef and owner , Tim Owen, and it becomes more than just a meal - it becomes an experience that we all absolutely loved . Tim is truly passionate about his food , he introduces every course personally and is an all round beauty of a bloke !! Top day/evening - we will be back for sure 👍

We read on Facebook that this was one of the best, if not the best roast dinner in Bristol! Lovely, friendly unpretentious in an unusual vintage setting. We had an exceptional meal with our friends - wish I'd taken photos!! The highlight of the lunch was the roast pork belly which I don't usually like, but this was slow-roasted to perfection - every element of the dish was packed with flavour; the roasters were especially memorable. The Espresso Pannacotta was delicious and wobbled as it should - a great finish to our lunch. The chef, Tim Owen, came out to introduce himself which was a nice touch! We will be back, but recommend booking in advance, this is a very popular spot but gets booked up quite quickly. Excellent price point (it's a 3-course set menu) and you can take your own wine, which is a bonus. Excellent!!!

This was my second time at Truffled, and I guarantee there will be many, many more times to come. As before, the food was absolutely delicious and then some! Honestly, just fantastic. I never order risotto when I’m out, but Tim’s Risotto Primavera was bloody gorgeous..I would happily have eaten another plateful, and would absolutely have it again. The main was roast, and I had butternut squash which was stuffed with an amazing array of Middle Eastern flavoured stuffing, totally delicious and full of intense flavours. The potatoes were just out of this world…cooked to perfection. The jus…omg! Carrots, cabbage, greens..everything just pairing together deliciously. I can say ‘fantastic, amazing, delicious etc’ but I don’t think words can properly and fully describe Tim’s food. Pudding was a lemon cake (polenta I think. I wasn’t there to hear the full description) with raspberries, and an amazing cream and sauce. I can’t wait to go again, it’s so exciting waiting to see what Tim’s going to serve and to anticipate those absolutely fantastic flavours. Like I said, words can’t really describe those magical, amazing, incredible flavours, you need to go and taste for yourself. Tim is an absolute and total genius, a Master at what he does. P.S. Six of us went for a roast on Sunday at truffled of totterdown. Our first trip to see Tim. It was stunning . Great atmosphere and it was great to speak with Tim a few times and enjoy a glass of wine together. His mussels starter was very moorish and the chicken main course was just great with layers of flavours on the plate . Dessert was a espresso Panna cotta and was the perfect consistency. All in all amazing and Tim catered really well for my veggie daughter as well . Going back soon.

Well another fantastic roast dinner at "Truffled of Totterdown_ Just spectacular !! Mussels in romesco sauce, Cotswolds chicken, fantastic roasties, Nigella seed/orange carrots, hot red cabbage, spring greens in something ,, nutty and earthy! Salsa verdi and i could taste the apple in the gravy, stunning! Dessert was expresso pannacotta with shortbread and a salted caramel sauce. Highly recommend if you have not yet been! Definietly the best in Bristol. Tim Owen explains each course , top top chef creating masterpieces!!

This was hands down one of the best evenings I've had and I can't thank Tim enough. We hired Tim and his staff to come to our airbnb to cook a private meal for a group of 10 ladies and you couldn't have found a happier bunch by the end of the night. Communication with Tim was great and the food was outstanding. We were able to enjoy a lovely evening in the airbnb, Tim cracked on in the kitchen and his two staff members served everything - it was a really special experience and one that we would all happily repeat. The sea bass to start was delicious, and the Baileys panna cotta rounded everything off perfectly. I would happily hire Tim again - he's a superb chef.

Amazing food, have eaten several times at Truffled Of Totterdown and it has never failed to deliver. This is the best Sunday lunch we have had anywhere. Breast of duck with Parmesan leeks to start, my husband who hates Parmesan enjoyed this, the flavour was not overwhelming and the duck breast tender and moist with crispy skin. We had roast chicken for the main, again crispy skin with tender and moist meat, crispy roast potatoes, proper roasted carrots, tasty gravy. The chicken came with a salsa verde which had a lovely fresh mint taste - yummy. Baileys panne cotta with shortbread crumb and salted caramel sauce to finish, divine. Highly recommend, booking is practically essential. Tim the chef and owner will cater for any dietary requirements whilst nit losing any of the taste.

Best roast in Bristol by a country mile. 3 courses for £28 and no choices, you are just given what Tim has made which is a lovely treat. Butternut squash risotto to start which was lovely and creamy, the main roast was chicken with lovely salsa verde, garlicy crispy roasters and greens and carrots and hot spiced red cabbage. could not fault it, pudding was a boozey baileys panacotta. Bring your own booze which works and a cosy little room for 1 table downstairs which we were lucky enough to have, cannot recommend enough!

The best food I’ve ever eaten and definitely what my taste buds will remember forever! Everything I ate was absolutely delicious, even my broccoli had an amazing flavour to it. The polenta (starter) was just gorgeous, and my main course, which was a stuffed onion (vegetarian) was bursting with THE most fantastic flavours which complimented each other beautifully. The jus, mash, spinach and pea purée surrounding the onion, again tasted out of this world, and the presentation was beautiful. The Baileys panacotta, with caramel sauce and smashed butterscotch pieces was heaven! Tim truly is a phenomenal chef, and I would really recommend that his food is sampled by everyone, probably more than once! I can’t wait to go eat again, and then some more! Seriously, Tim is just fantastic at what he does. Just brilliant.

Quirky , vintagey room. Amazing food by Tim,, each course was lush,, a ragu to start,, then lamb cooked 2 ways,,crushed cannellini beans mash,, spinach in butter and nutmeg,, salsa verdi,, then his famous baileys pannacotta with butterscotch sauce,, all the elements were perfect..he comes in and explains each course,, no airs or graces.. a down to earth chef,, cooking top nosh food.. highly recommended. We visited truffled of Totterdown on Sunday, the 16th of July 2022. This was our second time visiting Tim‘s establishment and, although we thought it impossible to better the amazing first visit, we were even more impressed, which can only be attributed to the ingenuity of the chef. For starters we had a lovely turbot fish cake, which was more fish than filler, accompanied by a light and flavourful heritage tomato, roasted red pepper and pickled red onion salad with a pesto, anchovy and caper Genovese. For our mains we were served 16 hour slow roasted Somerset lamb, duck fact potatoes, buttered summer greens, smashed pea and leek with mint, butter roasted celeriac and candied, cinnamon, nigella seed carrots with a salsa verde with a palpable addition of mint. If that sounds like a full plate, that’s because it was. As with all of Tim’s food, the flavours were very complimentary, so much so that our group collectively decided that the traditional mint sauce that is often found served with a lamb roast is a poor competitor to Tim’s salsa verde, which we feel should become the new traditional accompaniment to a lamb roast, even if we can’t make it quite like Tim. For dessert we had rose water panna cotta with smashed cardamom shortbread and vanilla, mint strawberries. Although we were all sure we couldn’t eat any more after the main, everyone managed to finish the lightly spiced treat, likely due to the perfect pairing of the elements in the dish. Beyond the food, the eclectic decor made for excellent conversation among our group, as well as Tim during the introduction of each dish and the recovery period following the phenomenal three course meal. Truly, we find it hard to believe that Tim only charges £28 per head for such an enjoyable and unique dining experience which is why we’ve felt obligated to add a tip. After all, the freedom to BYOB lessens the expense to the diners who like to have a drink with their meal, but Tim loses out on the potential profit of serving alcohol. It is entirely possible Tim would like the food to remain the star of the show (which it certainly is!) but we felt he should be better compensated for the lovely afternoon that he provided us, so we decided £32 per head was more appropriate, while still being the best value for money roast we’ve ever had. Tim, please keep doing what you’re doing :)

Pork wrapped in ham to start, 16 hour slow cooked lamb roast for main (the roast potatoes, carrot and nigella purée and crushed & minted peas and leeks were all delicious) and rose water panacotta with cardamom shortbread and minted strawberries for dessert. We went for our anniversary, Tim lit candles and put us in a quiet romantic part of the restaurant which was so nice of him. The food was amazing, you can tell Tim knows what he is doing and puts his heart into it. Amazing seabass starter, followed by roast pork, with a rosewater panna cotta to finish. Tim is also very funny - you get your meal with a side of personality! We can't wait to go back

Came before Christmas and had a different 3 course meal - unbelievable! Highly recommended for private dining with small or large groups. Superb! 👌🏽

A fantastic evening of private dining at Truffled with some delicious and beautifully cooked food. The 16 hour braised lamb was perfectly cooked and just melted in your mouth, the salsa verde complementing exquisitly! Can't wait to return - this was an excellent meal and evening out. Tim is without doubt the most talented chef/roofer I've ever met. He rustled up a lunch of french classics (Provencal fish soup followed by Confit de canard) that had a remarkably authentic feel to them. Panettone b&b pudding finished it off very nicely. Take your own wine (and maybe glasses, if your fussy) for a real treat. A shame he's not nearer to Cambridge!

Tim cooked and delivered an amazing 3 course meal for my wife’s birthday. The smoked fish chowder was amazing and the truffle mash superb 👌. A great treat in lockdown . I’m looking forward to his roast on a Sunday and would recommend to anyone

Tim cooks with passion and is a brilliant bloke. The poor reviews are based on political beliefs which do not relate to the food he produces. It’s brilliant, well thought out grub and I’d recommend a visit to anyone who enjoys eating top drawer food. His roasters are second to none, let alone the 2 day jus.

Great place! Amazing people! Super tasty food, and wonderful atmosphere! We ordered an Egg & Bacon Smash burger, a mozzarella burger, and a classic burger, plus Italian & greek Fries. They helped us to choose the sauce to match the chips. The smell of the fries was amazing, smelling very Italian with the parmesan in the car. The fries were amazing, so crispy and the flavour was great! Probably the best fries I've ever had for sure. Now to the burger, OMG it was amazing! So juicy and tasty! I don't have sauce in my burgers as I love to taste the meat and this was banging! The bacon was well cooked and complemented the burgers perfectly. All of them were the best burger we had ever had! So don't delay, get down there (or get it delivered) yourself! Top Marks 10/10 from us.
