Trough Supper Bar in Tameside

Absolutely amazing chippy! Always try to go in every week! The gravy is thick and rich (the best kind of gravy). The lady is really nice who serves me and the food for me is fabulous!

Good chippy food. Not tried the Chinese food. Good curry sauce and gravy and the lady serving is friendly. Must sometimes hit and miss if its open or not! But now possibly the smallest portion of chips and sauce in the area since changing to paper trays. Using the really small ones amd charging same prices.

Disgusting. Called Saturday curry watery rice still hard in parts. Then bin had most of my tea . Ordered king prawn chicken and fried rice. Few prawns,6 peas and onion. Never going again.

Decent chippy with perfectly cooked food

We've used this chippy for a few months now, the food was ok, but we've tried to go 4 times this year, and we're only in February, every time we've turned, up before the advertised closing time they're shut. We went out of our way to visit this place but we won't be making the same mistake again.

Horrible chippy , always full of flys and the same weird taste in all the food , if you like this place you seriously need to get about abit , 1 of if not the worst chippy in Manchester. Rather pull scraps out the bin from outside then get something from here .

The chips were cooked in fat that tasted like it had been used too much! The fish was cooked separatelyvand was ok

Great chippy. Even though we have one a very short walk away, the Trough is worth the short drive. Always very helpful and the food is top notch.

Please do not go here I’ve been stuck on the toilet for over an hour. Take my word for it or suffer the consequences this place needs to get a food safety check. Think they might of changed owner since opening back up again after lockdown

Had food from here last night, both myself and my partner have been poorly all day. Never again

Friendly staff and very nice food

Dont know why we chanced it here again, the chips were a tiny & a really greasy portion, the gravy which we got in a carton had layer of grease on the top & tasted like ink? The prawn crackers went straight in the bed not bothering again with this place it wasnt great last time hut thought we'd give it a go as we was passing.

Special chow mein is to die for! All dishes are freshly cooked while you wait, or you can phone your order in and collect (they don't do deliveries ) or card payments.... but you won't be disappointed with the food spot on every time ....
