Food was good as always. The staff are very friendly ( will always stand and have a chat). Just been redecorated so looks good.

What wonderful afternoon. We went to the Turkey and Tinsel afternoon,had the Festive menu, followed by entertainment by Leanne. As usual got a lovely warm welcome,firstly by Martin on arrival,then Emma who was smiling as usual and Lez, finally Eloise. The food was excellent, we had chosen Prawn Cocktail followed by grilled Hake with chive Mash and veg and a superb white wine seafood butter sauce.Even though it was very busy, a few large groups also attending the festive afternoon,service was fast food hot. The entertainment after lunch by a lovely singer named Leanne. The whole afternoon really got is in the Christmas spirit.

This Restaurant had great food and the staff were very polite and friendly. We will certainly eat there again.

Our visit was for a Golden Wedding Anniversary family party. Les, Martin, Emma, and the team accommodated our needs in every detail and ensured our evening was successful. On the evening itself, Martin was on hand ensuring we were well looked after.

Lady staff behind the bar and serving food are rude and were on her phone at the bar while the colleges served.

The food service was quick and everything was to a high standard friendly staff and reasonable priced food will be going again Service was brilliant especially elouise who served us fantastic customer service from her thankyou

We were greeted very warmly by the manager and made to feel welcome. The food, as always, was very good and the service, although they appeared to be short staffed, was still good. The restaurant is always clean and inviting and the staff are friendly. We chose The Trigger Pond to celebrate our wedding anniversary as we know we will enjoy the meal and our surroundings. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes good food in a pleasant atmosphere.

Great value for money, and even more so as we had a 30% off mains voucher code. Food arrived nice and warm. Staff were very friendly especially, Martyn. Possibly could have done with another person serving behind the bar, apart from that, good experience overall.

Excellent Sunday dinner with the family! The beef was incredible and the veg and roasts were gorgeous. All of the team were super welcoming .. finished off with a rocky road sundae and coffee which was a great way to end our meal!

Popped in here a couple of times in Feb 24 . They do have a separate menu for Sunday with a nice Sunday lunch . Can get full, so it's best to book ahead . Also dropped in for a sandwich on a Saturday, staff very nice and helpful , overall very nice . Oh, and there is a set area available if you're thinking of taking your furry friend . Also, a dog menu is available Update Nov 24 : popped in for Sunday lunch , and the roast beef was just the best . Not a scrap left on my plate , much to my dogs annoyance! Need to book as it is popular! Well worth the money ... pigs in blankets super nice extra that's worth ordering ... yes we did get Hugo a doggy dinner.. 5 seconds all gone , so I will take that as a recommendation..

it was nice and quiet when we came in, food was with us within 10 minutes. perfect service. Martin was our server today and he is always so lovely, making sure everything with our food is perfect, really making the experience 10/10

Food portions are very small and expensive, not one hot water tap in the gents toilet was working just a trickle of water and urinal was leaking on the floor, really cannot understand how they cannot even provide basic sanitary conditions in the toilets what a very poor establishment.

Came to visit on 29/10/24 around 1pm. It was clean with a nice atmosphere. I was with my 5 year old as it is school holidays. The service we received from the young woman was amazing, always smiling and happy to help with anything you needed. I asked to amend my dessert and she came back with a fresh. She is a credit to your team and I hope she will be told how great of a job she is doing!

The service was amazing here tonight, manager so nice and helpful and supervisor was so lovely, think she was called Emma. We have a great night thanks to her service and smile. Great night, Tikka was delicious

Great hot food with great portion size.

Disappointing went out for friends birthday 2 of us had scampi after ordering 2 with mushy peas one of us got mushy peas and one got garden peas. But I must say the scampi and chips were very nice. Birthday girl ordered Hunters chicken, it was not the one on the menu, conplianed they changed it, she didn't eat it all the chicken was very dry like eating card board and no taste.

Prices reasonable, quality of food very poor- mixed grill no flavour in any of the meats, steak was uneatable, no flavour over cooked and far too chewy. Surf and turf meat uneatable, small portion of scampi. Starters- mac & cheese ok, chicken wings ok and chicken bites ok. Desert- chocolate brownie with ice cream ok, ice cream sundae ok. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend or revisit as it was not an enjoyable experience for us.

Came here yesterday with a very large party - 30, as a chef myself I can say that to take orders at the time and not a pre Oder is not easy! We all ordered steaks aswel, all cooked differently. Big well done to the chefs!!

Went today with autistic child they couldn't remove plates quick enough even while we was still eating! I would of had murder but didn't want to make a scene!

We booked a table for 4 for 19:30 so that my wife and I could meet and get to know our daughter's new partner over dinner. We had no idea that our dinner would coincide with a quiz night. When the quizmaster was speaking it was sufficiently loud that it was hard to hear each other speak and then when he stopped we found that the sudden drop in the PA system left us speaking too loudly. If it hadn't have been for the above and but for the fact that the the pub has also asked me to share on Google, I would have left it there but since I was asked to comment, the food was pretty poor too. We won't be back

We visited there today for the first time today to have a celebratery meal for my wife's 60th birthday. There was a warm and friendly atmosphere there, and plenty of other people there enjoying their meals. The staff are really friendly and helpful .There is a good variety of meals on the menu to choose from. All my family enjoyed the meals they chose, and they were cooked to perfection. What used to be a nice family friendly pub with a great atmosphere has been replaced by noisy "bands" blurting out cover songs and half of the seating has been removed and turned into a darts bar... food was above average for a pub but worth going on a nice day so you can sit outside for some peace and quiet by the road.

Staff were lovely and food was nice and it was for a group of 16 for a 40th staff were so caring throughout the night

Celebrated my godsons 1st birthday at gullivers world & decided to eat out. Rang here 5 min away and they managed for fit 9 of us in for food. All of us were very happy with the food and the service. We have stopped here a handful of times after ikea trips and it’s been such a warm atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

Sadly the waiting to time get our main course and also dessert was unexpectedly very long. We have been several times and understand the meals are freshly cooked and expect and accept waiting of 15 -20 minutes. However today (30 May lunchtime) it was overlong. We arrived at 12 noon and were told that many tables were reserved, so this wasn't an issue. . The problem was that there was only one barman and one waitress. In my opinion , given the number of reserved table the manager must have been aware that staffing levels would have to meet the increased demand. The 2 staff on duty were very understanding and we felt sorry they were put under such unnecessary pressure. We finally left at approximately 14.0 hours!

Had a wonderful afternoon and were treated absolutely like VIPs. We took my husbands dad out for lunch for his 95th birthday today. The team you had today in the Trigger Pond were absolutely wonderful in particular Sharon, for whom NOTHING was too much trouble. That lady has the patience of a saint, I love nachos and usually order a sharer for me and my hubby, they aren't on the Sunday menu, "that's OK" says Sharon "I will see what I can do". Sure enough I could have nachos to start. Then in a fluster I realised I had forgotten to order dad's fish and chips and a side order for my son! She sorted the whole thing out without batting an eyelid, and we all got our meals together. Everything was perfect and we all enjoyed our lunch, particularly Dad who isn't a big eater but, demolished an enormous fish and chips! He ate all bar two chips! To top it all, Roxy, was our waitress and a very attentive one at that! My son asked for cream for his fudge cake, which isnt an option, so she offered the canned squirty cream instead. Roxy and Sharon then brought out a slice of cake with a candle in it for Dad, he was absolutely made up! Shout out to the people in the back too who made it all happen. We will be with you again very soon and highly recommend the food here. Customer service at its best! Thank you all.

Staff always friendly and welcoming hence we always return. Special mention to Sharon who always fusses our elderly father! He loves it! Clean tidy premises and good atmosphere. We are not local but our father is, he loves coming x

Wow.... Greated at the door with a smile. Shown straight to our seats .. opened a tab and had a beer in our hands all within 4 minutes. Food selection was good.. just good pub grub. Looking forward to the next time we eat here.
