Great little gem - friendly and welcoming service. Good food and selection beers.

We visited for dinner and the food was great along with the service. Dogs allowed too.

Went here for a meal with family.......wish we never bothered. Sadly the Food wasn't the best and definitely wouldn't go back. 😔

Let's just say that the pint of HSD was nice,.... But the food would be better missed! Very poorly cooked, won't be going back for a long time. Sorry to say! 😮☹️

Popped in for lunch.great place, and lovely staff. very attentive .fabulous food. Will definitely be going back to this cute place. We had a cheese burger. And steak and ale pie with trimmings.

Booked a table for a large party of 9, and everything went smoothly. The person who took our order was surprisingly exuberant and fun, and the staff that brought the food were very friendly and polite. The food was great, carvery meat options were standard but could have had a few different vegetable types on the plate. The battered fish and chips was tasty and filling but not so much as to not be able to finish it. However, there did seem to be a bit too much batter to fish, but this maybe variable from plate to plate. Overall, we would all go back for another visit.

Lovely atmosphere and very welcoming service for our family, including our two young boys. The Sunday roast was superb- the extra large portion was extremely generous and every aspect of it was delicious! We followed with desserts (there was a fantastic selection to choose from on the menu) all of which were outstanding and well presented. The restaurant, outside area and toilets were all clean and well kept. Very impressed and look forward to visiting again.

Lovely fire going and the food was great. I had ham egg and chips and my friends had the carvery and they said how nice it was too 👍🏻

Myself my partner and two friends had a lovely meal here on Friday night.Tje service was excellent. Food was very tasty too. Around 9 ish a band started setting up.They were called Gulity pleasure and they were brilliant. We all had a great night. Highly recommend this place

Lovely Christmas set lunch. Very popular choice as lots of others there. Very nice food and good value. Would definitely go again. Plenty of parking.

Our club held its Christmas Dinner there. Lovely warm,friendly welcome. Wonderful relaxing atmosphere. Excellent choice on menu. We had a lovely part of the restaurant to ourselves.nice and private. Food was served promptly nice and hot and generous servings. Excellent value for money and absolutely delicious. We had a fabulous evening.

Great food, great service, wide choice of beers, great for functions.

I stayed here a couple of nights. It was good value, I thought, as I got it at £89 per night with 2nd night free. It wasn't clear where the hotel reception was. As I went into the bar and then was directed to where to go. The room looked clean however, on closer inspection it was not. There was mould in the shower room/en suite. A half filled handwash. The net was frayed and had mould on it. There were cobwebs and dead bugs on the floor. The room stank of damp. The carpet may have been cleaned and not completely dried. However, the smell to me was over bearing. I did inform reception. Only to be told she couldn't smell anything. But in the next breathe she explained her sense of smell was not great anyway. I was given a tin of air freshener. However, this did not cover the smell. On the second day the room was not cleaned and only one bin was emptied. I had a full English on the first morning and it just looked like it had been thrown on the plate. The beans and tomatoes were not separate which made the breakfast soggy. I couldn't eat it. I was told they were going to change the TV in the room because the ones in the room were not great. When it was put in the room it hadn't been cleaned. It wasnt a great view as it was the car park. I was woken up with people banging their doors at 1.30am. I used the restaurant in the bar area and the staff were excellent. Couldnt be more attentive. However, if you want to eat here make sure you book. And eat the homemade food on the menu because everything else is frozen. It's quite pricey too. The great thing is the location and the Cornish cider.

Pub grub at its best, good selection of ales and beers. Friendly staff and good service. This is an update from my last review, which mentioned the demeanor of the Manager. Under different management, this place is very welcoming, Tom is doing a great job. There were in the region of 40 of us at a birthday bash, almost all the meals arrived at the same time, piping hot and good quality. We thought they did a great job. 👍 Only problem is, because I do everything with a phone or a card and don't carry cash any more, I forgot to leave a tip! 🙄 I promise I'll make it up to you next time guys x

Portion sizes were great and the staff were more than happy to accommodate 20+ people in one booking.

Had a good meal price good too. The only thing i would mention when going at night is that it's hard to spot could do with lights at the entrance

Didn't stay there but had a fabulous meal with my daughter and son-in-law. Friend atmosphere great food and excellent staff
