A great place to eat, great beer and cider and the landlord is a fantastic bloke! You will love the place!

My husband said it was the best lamb he had ever tasted! A really welcoming pub which serves generous portions of homemade food sourced from local farmers. I had the fish pie, which was excellent, and my son ate all his chicken nuggets. It was lovely the way the friendly landlord said they can do whatever we want, so my son had carrots and cucumber, instead of peas, and my husband had the beef sides, instead of the lamb options. We highly recommend this pub.

Huge portions, homely food and friendly staff! Had a lovely meal - can recommend the fish pie! Staff were very friendly and there is a pub quiz on a Tuesday which was good fun

The Travellers Rest is a pub standing on the Fosse Way. It stocks four real ciders (I recommend the Somerset Glory Dry) and some good food. It is located just off the most logical route to cycle between Glastonbury and Castle Cary (the nearest station to Glastonbury). I called in for lunch twice this week while doing that ride (I live in London and stayed in Glastonbury) and was pleased with the ham egg and chips on one visit and the (large) omelette on the other.

We actually stayed at the Travelers Rest and enjoyed dinner there two evenings in a row. The food was excellent, some good choice on the menu and with the specials offered. Service was great, very pleasant and welcoming.

My partner and his parents had a very enjoyable lunch at the Travellers Rest Inn. We had a mixed roast of beef and pork with lovely potatoes and plenty of veg. A welcoming pub for good food on the A37. Garden looked attractive but a bit cool to sit outside today.

Excellent little hidden Gem. Nipped in to find a quiet corner to do some work emails before heading home. Daryl was lovely going the extra mile and provided me with an extension lead. My colleague had the rump steak and I the soup, great service and yummy tasting food. Free parking too!

We had Sunday roast yesterday, it seemed like it was not home made, more like 'aunt bessie' potatoes and veg. The only thing that seemed made at the hotel was the Yorkshire puddings and they seemed to have been cooked twice so to heat up for our plate as they were quite brown. It's a great place, but the quality of roast dinner was low.

We went for lunch did not stay, the meal was delicious land a real treat. Traditional and comfortable. A little bit off the main roads in a very pretty village.
