Fantastic. Couldn't face The Deep's sad looking food. This is fresher, tastier and half the price.

proper chippy, great food never actually had a bad meal there before chips are always fluffy and fish is fresh and fried to perfection with a long enough rest time. decent size portions. definitely a hidden gem glad I discovered the place. it's clean inside and the service is alway great.

A proper old fish and chip shop. Lovely fresh haddock cooked to order, great chips. This is the second time I've been in and very nice it's been. Sit in or take away. Excellent quality and value.

Avoid on a Friday lunch! They are always short staffed on a Friday and it takes ages to get served.

Ate in and the fish was cooked to order. Extremely fresh, good size, excellent price/quality and very friendly staff. It's a bit out of the centre but only a 15 minute walk from the old town. Great place to start a relaxing pub crawl. As me and my cousin did.

Called in for first time today. After many visits to Hull over the years I finally found an amazing place for food. Definitely calling again and Definitely in the top 3 Yorkshire chippies.

Decided on a traditional chippy lunch as it was Good Friday and I was passing this place. Ordered a large fish, fish slice, chips and curry sauce which was to be shared between myself and my son. On unwrapping, I realised just how big the large fish was, it wouldn't fit on my plate! My son had the rest and I tried a bit of his fish slice. Everything was cooked to perfection. The batter was crisp and the fish fresh. Chips were tasty and cooked as they should be and the fish slice dipped in curry sauce was lovely! It's not something I'd normally eat but would order just that for a quick lunch. Will definitely return!

I was visiting the Deep with my daughter and niece, so looked for somewhere close by with good reviews. This chip shop fitted the bill as it was literally 5 mins away. I'm really glad we called here as the food was delicious. My haddock was cooked fresh, the chips were tasty as were my mushy peas, and my daughter enjoyed her battered sausage and chips. Washed down with a lovely mug of tea, we were set up for perfectly our visit. The prices are excellent, £4.50 for my haddock chips and peas, and the portions were generous. The staff were polite and friendly and the chip shop was spotlessly clean, we will definitely return.

Great experience with the staff, very relaxing experience ordering the food it came piping hot the food tasted very nice nice size fish and chips for the size and money we paid probably one of the top 4 Fish and chip shops in the east riding. Very worth a trip.

We have a chippy at top of our street but we would rather walk to Traceys. Before covid we could sit inside at no extra expense with proper cutlery/plates. Fish is to order and dont ask for large fish unless you can handle it. Lovely couple that own it. Recommend.
