A nice, modern cozy pub with a real local (yet welcoming) vibe. I got chatting to some people who lived nearby and it seems to be a very popular watering hole and I can see why. Had a great time but removed a star as the fries were slightly underdone and the food ended up taking quite a while to arrive. Wasn’t a big problem but just want to be honest. I had the falafel burger special which was tasty and £15 for a burger and fries is honestly pretty fair in this economy. Also wasn’t quite sure because there wasn’t obvious labelling but it seems like vegans would struggle here. Would be great to get some nice vegan options added to the menu.

A beautiful spot for brunch, we were a large group so they put us in one of their upstairs rooms which was lovely and enabled us to all chat easily as a group. Service was absolutely excellent also, would recommend and return!

We have eaten there twice now once on a Sunday and the roast is really good and again on Friday when we had burgers...also flippin good.

We’d been looking forward to coming here for a while, often walked past and seen it busy. Now not quite sure why. If this review was based just on the dirty fries with chicken, the plain fries, one friendly staff member, and the wonderful dog bed, it would be five stars. If it was on the cauliflower pakoras which were a bit overdone with kind of tasteless sauce, three stars. And the food was slow to arrive. Similarly, we were sad not to be able to get ice cream at 9.30pm because the kitchen was closed (but you don’t cook ice cream?!), more so because when I’d ordered food an hour earlier, I’d told the staff I’d set up a tab so we could order desserts. So someone could have come over and said, the kitchen is closing in 5 mins, would you like to order desserts? They lost out on an order by not asking. But… if this review was based solely on the burger, it would be one star. Both patties were so overcooked they were hard, tough, and dry. Genuinely the worst burger I’ve ever had. We figured the patties had either been cooked earlier and re-cooked, or the chef must have forgotten about them. It was almost inedible, we couldn’t eat much of it. Fortunately the dog liked it! But to pay £16 for a burger far worse than McDonalds, that ended up as dog food… really disappointing. Not sure how anyone thought it was acceptable to serve. So it averages out to 3 stars. We’ll be back for ice cream (earlier, of course) and maybe fries, but definitely not burgers.

Amazing. Went here for a 60th birthday party and had a fantastic time. The staff were great, in particular Lottie who helped me organise the event and Elliott who was our server for most of the evening. Food was outstanding as well, with a personalised middle eastern styled gluten free menu delivered impeccably . The room we were hosted in was private and the staff let us decorate it as we liked, making a great atmosphere. Overall, if you are planning a party I cannot recommend this place any higher!

Visited last weekend for the Sunday Roast - the food is impeccable. Delicious ingredients finished with the most amazing Whiskey toffee pudding 😋 Unfortunately the service fell below what we had hopped. In all my other visits the service has been top notch. However, on Sunday it seemed there were two new/inexperienced members of staff serving upstairs with the more experienced behind the bar downstairs. The price of the meal is above average, but I would say the quality of the food and wine make up for it. However when charging those prices, the service needs to match and unfortunately it fell short last Sunday. I look forward to my next visit and hope the service has improved as this is genuinely a great venue.

Having visited twice in the past week the food is great. Sunday lunch was in fact excellent and their sticky toffee pudding the best I’ve ever had ! Why not a 5? The service on Sunday was chaotic. Very sweet friendly girls but no management and no training. Would have gone unnoticed but for the 12.5% service charge on our already incorrect bill. We did pay ten and felt rather mean but quite simply more training and management needed to warrant 12.5%. Also why are the same wines more expensive here than at Walcot house ?

What a lovely pub. Staff so friendly and went above and beyond. Food was great. We had a Sunday roast and it hit the right spot. They didn't even judge me for slamming a shot when my gf went to the toilet 🤣

Strangers to Bath & ate here based upon its Google reviews. Holy cow we were not disappointed! Booked 1 hr before via open table and turned up at 3 on a Sunday afternoon. Great beer choice (all keg but great local brewery called Electric Bear) and beautiful menu. My wife had the nut roast & I had the porchetta. Cauliflower cheese & Yorkshire puddings are standard (as they should be) but we ordered stuffing balls as a side dish. Everything edible was a superb standard and the decor was light and airy. Whole place was busy (good sign) and we sadly couldn’t handle dessert. Anyways, put simply, it was one of, if not the best Sunday lunch we’ve eaten out, amazing job everyone & keep up the good work.!

Awesome wine tasting night hosted by Wolf Wine. Nibbles from the kitchen were incredible, as were the delicious wines! Fab service as always at this great little pub!

Burger joint with bar. (Except on Sundays when the menu is more extensive). Worth noting if you are visiting mid-week. We had delicious cocktails and burgers. Downstairs is more atmospheric. Upstairs is *very* brightly lit and a bit clinical. Super friendly staff made it a great evening experience.

Eagerly awaited roast. Nice restaurant and set up. I went for a porchetta roast. The porchetta itself was faultless, nice and tender, the crackling was nice and crunchy. Roast potatoes were seasoned nicely, I thought the cauliflower cheese was tasty however I don't think pepper compliments cauliflower cheese very well. Gravy could have been thicker as it was a bit on the watery side. Yorkshire pudding was on point. I thought there could have been a bit more veg, Aside from all that the main parts of the roast were spot on a I did enjoy my eating experience there. As did my friends. Service is friendly and welcoming and accommodating as well.

They are doing Sunday roast dinner also on Thursday and Friday night burgers ect and a good selection of beers lager and cider if you are visiting bath it's worth trying it out they close on Monday on Wednesday they have quiz night which is popular

We ate here following our wedding ceremony nearby. Once I reached out during the planning the communication was excellent, Elliott and Connor both worked with us to design the menu, decorate the tables, etc. once we got there everything was perfect, the food was amazing and the service was exceptional. we ate in one of the upstairs dining rooms and it felt cosy and personal with the team making us feel at ease. We highly recommend them!

A really great local bar, the staff were bright and friendly, no queues for drinks, clean and no noisy music. A proper place for chats, beers and socialising.

Stopped in on a warm day to cool down. We had juices with dried orange and lime slices. They had the food dehydrator going so we knew they had dried them themselves! Very thoughtful touch to bring us cold water for the table on such a hot day and to turn the fan on in our direction. Really clean toilets too, just down a steep flight of stairs to get to them! Would definitely go back next time we're in Bath!

Even though we walked to the bar stand to order, pay, and settle everything (getting our drinks right away) we were charged a 12.5% service fee. The fish and chips portion was regular and included no tartar sauce. Considering the dish had a £18 price point, it was a huge disappointment. Overall, I'd avoid this place, as it was overpriced and had hidden fees.

I have been visiting this place religiously when I am in Bath City Centre. Finally had my first Sunday Roast at the facility and oh my, why have I not had it before?! incredible! Staff are always super friendly and you feel so welcome upon arrival. Love Love Love it.

Excellent little town house with absolutely lovely staff. Food and drinks are reasonably priced for the area. Lovely seating areas, no complaints. A really homely atmosphere. It was lovely seeing our friend Cosmo working here, he is a lovely and charming man and (unbiasedly) provided us brilliant service on our visit.

I had some 30th birthday drinks with a group of 20 friends downstairs. Staff were so friendly and helpful, it made for a perfect evening!

Had a meal here for our companies 10-year anniversary. Nothing was too much trouble, and Cosmo....sorry if I've got that wrong! Was a proper gent and put up with us all and we had a good laugh. I didn't get the chefs name, but he too was spot on and the food incredible. Highly recommend. Thanks again!

First night in Bath and first pub visited. The staff couldn't be friendlier! They were closing in 20mins since our arrival but didn't give us any problems to serve us some beers. Background music so welcoming and perfect to have a good chat. Modern decor. Overall a beautiful little charming place.

Two of us came here for Sunday lunch, and were blown away. We arrived early and they were super accommodating in every sense. The cocktails were amazing, the food was delicious and the wine we had was superb. We were met with the loveliest staff who looked after our every need, and this encouraged us to stay later than we had planned. 3 hours very well spent - thank you!

I’ve been to Town & House a few times now and every experience has been exquisite. The food is interesting, impeccably cooked and every dish I’ve tried so far has been incredible. The cocktails are also fantastic, I recommend the minty Marg and the white negroni. Lastly, the service is probably the best in Bath. Will be coming back again and again

Only had a cappuccino and a black coffee so didn't try what is supposed to be pretty good good. Yet. Nice ambience, service was good and prompt, coffee was pretty good. Nice place to pop in and hang out. Will try the food next time

Cracking burger and lovely staff

Hands down the best Sunday roast we’ve had in years! The lamb and beef were absolutely delicious and the cauliflower cheese to die for! Add in some excellent wine and cocktails and we had one amazing Sunday afternoon in Bath.

One of the best meals I've had in a while. A truly premium experience; superb food and service. Even had to fit in 4 courses it was so good. It is worth traveling to if you're in the South West.

We were recommended to visit this little Bath restaurant, several weeks ago. On arrival, we received a very warm and friendly welcome, and were immediately given the impression we were going to have a great evening; we were certainly not disappointed! Our food was absolutely delicious and the service by our charming waiter was superlative. If you want to sample an upmarket menu with 5 star service, in a charming little Bath gastro pub, 'Town+House by Always Sunday' is the place to visit. We had the loveliest meal here! I couldn’t believe it wasn’t busier! Everything was top notch, quality food. The staff all gave great service. Between us we had the risotto, the hake, the hispi cabbage, burrata, pina colada pana cotta and the seasonal crumble, all fantastic. Will be back!

What a lovely place to stumble upon! After spending the jubilee weekend in Cornwall we decided to stop in Bath for a quick visit and a Sunday roast. I'm so glad we decided to come here. The beef was tender and the vegetables beautifully cooked. We also had the vegetarian option with gorgonzola sauce - very tasty! We ended our meal with a wonderful dark chocolate mousse. I'm usually not a fan of chocolate stuff but this dessert was very well balanced, not too sweet and good chocolate quality. The cocktails looked delicious too but we didn't order any. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Seriously good. It’s a less than 5 min walk outside the city centre and so so much better than some of the places in town which attract business just because they are smack band in the middle. We shared mackerel with a celeriac remoulade & confit chicken terrine with tarragon. Both incredible, the former with picked cucumber that gave it a Nordic flavour. Mains were loin of pork and also gnocchi and wild garlic. Again, both faultless. The wild garlic had the best flavour. The pork had a rich, meaty jus with flecks of sea salt. The puddings (chocolate terrine and strawberry & almond tart) again perfect accompanied by a honey coloured dessert wine. Lovely touches in the restaurant such as Divine Savage wallpaper. Loved it.

This is without a doubt the best brunch we’ve had in the UK (Australians know brunch!), and a must for anyone in Bath. Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Friendly, attentive and polite. Menu ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Everything looks incredible. A lot of food envy going on around the room - Highly recommend the Potato Hash and a freshly baked Pain Au Chocolate - Coffee is also outstanding

This is a gem of a place with a fantastic menu and super friendly staff! Just had a beautiful meal here with friends and highly recommend the cod for main with haricot beans and serona ham. This was served with a creamy celeriac purée. The cod was soft and flavoursome with a crispy skin, perfect. Also loved the beetroot carpaccio to start but the big surprise was the gorgeous honey cremeux with poached pear and ginger crumble. Such a great selection of desserts it was hard to choose but we were delighted with our choice. We accompanied our meal with a lovely white wine although there is also a superb selection of cocktails on offer. Great place with a buzzing yet relaxed atmosphere…we will be back soon!

Always Town+house. The whole experience of our tasty well presented three course dinner, delicious cocktails, wine and whisky, amazing service. This is a hidden gem but so worth the visit, you can have food upstairs and drinks in the bar downstairs. We were in a room upstairs that felt like a private dining room, great music and atmosphere. Our waitress was so lovely and friendly, always there when we needed her but out of the way when we didn't. I had scallops to start and belly of pork for main followed by white chocolate cheesecake, très délicieux! Such a wonderful place, this will now be my go to restaurant and for drinks when Always in town! Always Can't wait to try the award winning roast!

One of my favourite Sunday roasts in Bath! The menu is changed regularly. The roast chicken was cooked perfectly, and the sirloin beef was also cooked well, very tender with flavourful sauce! All vegetables were cooked perfectly; I especially loved their potatoes and beetroot! The service is good, and the atmosphere is lovely. Highly recommend!

I am giving 3 stars because of the staff. They are super nice and the resultant is super cozy But we waited for more then 45 min for 3 tiny dishes that was not very impressive. Over priced for what was provided . However very nice bar staff

We had a great meal at Town+House. The Pig Cheeks starters were delicious and we really enjoyed our two mains: the lamb and rib eye steak. Really friendly service throughout as well.

Had an absolutely fantastic meal last night. Food was superb, matching drinks were perfect and the service couldn’t have been better.

These guys can make basically any cocktail you can name! They are fantastic barmen, so friendly, knowledgable and approachable. One of the best cocktail bars in town. No trip or day out in Bath will be complete without a visit here

Ambiance, venue and service was nice. Small rooms in a house set up. The food was ok. The flatbread mushroom plate which was a piece of flatbread and 3 mushrooms was steeply priced at £12.50. For that prices I was expecting something larger. We got one to share and not worth it. The gnocchi were nice and priced at £15 and £15 for the baked courgette plate. The menus you see on Google are not current. The disappointment was the truffle fries. They were fried frozen potato chips with grated truffle cheese. Add a bottle of water and two glasses of wine and the bill came to £75. I felt the price of the food vs value was missing. The taste was good.

Really delicious burgers, triple cooked chips and salads. Very fresh and high standard restaurant style food, eaten in our living room. Butter chicken burger was extra fantastic!!! I'll be having that again very soon.

Absolutely perfect ! The best £8 burger we ever had - love how the kimchi and buttermilk chicken cut through each other. The brunch burger was epic too. That fennel patty with the egg go so well together too. The chips is a must have and I would recommend ordering 2 portions so you don't have to share.

Used to eat here when it was the King William and I loved it back then... I had high hopes....and those hopes were exceeded. Always Sunday have done a great job of making the building look better (KW was always s bit "shabby chic") but there is also substance behind the style. Style is "small plates", we had 2 meat dishes, 1 fish dish, 1 veggie dish and some triple cooked chips... All were frankly lush, subtle flavours, great combos, good portions... Awesome. The Chianti was great too and cocktails at the end were very very good... Up there (almost) with the Dark Horse. AST+H is great, check it out.

King William was awesome. Corkage Walcot Street was awesome. Always Sunday Townhouse restaurant has managed to combine the best of both; great atmosphere, goooood cocktails, and, super tasty small dishes to share. Not sure if that makes it awesome squared or just super awesome! We shared tofu (yum), chicken in buttermilk and something like lime and cinnamon (yum), pork cheek things (yum), stone bass (yum) and thrice cooked fries with rosemary (yum). And the best thing with all of the yummy dishes was the accompanying veggies and salads and bits of tiny vegetables cooked, or pickled, to perfection, pulling it all together into an amazing meal! We're coming back soon!

Amazing food: we've tried the '2nd breakfast' menu, as take out, the crab toasties are amazing and the brunch burgers are delicious, so are the chips. Having a sweet tooth I've tried the doughnuts, apple cake and cinnamon roll - all fantastic too. These guys are really worth checking out - we cant wait until the full evening menu launches!
