Really good fish & chips, all cooked to order & really good prices!

Had the Fish , chips , peas , bread & butter & a mug of tea for £7-50 , excellent value . Extremely tasty food , best fish & chips I have had for quite a while . Will definitely be returning when next in Blackpool.

Was going to go into Yorkshire fisheries and it is good in there, it's £15 quid for cod, chips, and mushy peas and tea and once slice of bread and butter. Have reviewed this and it is A1. However, Tower fisheries is £7.50 for the same and I can not split them on quality, service. I was not expecting it to be good, but it is as good and half the fee. This sentiment is shared by my mate and owner at Akash Indian restaurant, if you don't believe me give it a try

This is the best fish and chip restaurant in Blackpool without any doubts. Value for money is exceptional. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The staff are always smiling, despite the restaurant being busy at times (which indicates its popularity!). The restaurant has always been clean and tidy whenever I’ve visited. The quality and taste of the food is superb, it’s no nonsense, traditional fish and chips as they should be, everything is always lovely and fresh. You pay around half the price compared to other popular fish and chip restaurants in the area. I simply cannot recommend Tower Fisheries enough, if you’re in Blackpool then I’d highly consider having a visit. It’s always a bonus to support a local family business too.

Dined here as could be bothered waiting at the one down the road. Great food, friendly service and very clean. Highly recommended.

Very lovely fish shop plus it serves haggis yes in England portion sizes are fantastic and the price is very cheap and cheerful staff very friendly and helpful this is one of the best in Blackpool keep up the good work 👍 plus the peas were spot on

We decided on our latest visit to Blackpool to visit Tower Fisheries on Topping Street in Blackpool for fish & chips . Our previous visit in September the month before was to their nearest rivals on the same street Yorkshire Fisheries that it was only fair when we returned to Blackpool to try Tower Fisheries . We didn’t have to wait long as when back home in Scotland I booked a 2 night stay at Tan Hill Inn in the North Yorkshire Dales ( that’s a separate review to read as we booked October 2024 so we ended up booking a Travelodge in Preston for 2 nights to have some extra time in Blackpool before carrying on to Tan Hill Inn . By the way Tan Hill Inn is the highest inn in Great Britain centuries old. Ok now on to our visit at the Tower Fisheries on the Friday evening after 6pm managed to get a quick parking space outside. We decided for ourselves one portion of haddock chips for my good lady Jean . I had the very same but with added mushy peas and curry sauce on their £6.95 deal . Our dog got a single separate slice of haddock for himself too . This was take a way menu the price in the sit in maybe the same I don’t know. The reason to try it was it got really great reviews from YouTube foodie reviewers like the MacMaster & Jane from Visit Flyde Coast and many more like Stocky Bloke . I also ordered a can of vimto . May I say the quality of the the food was excellent & good value for the price. The curry sauce actually made the fish & chips tasty . I actually prefer the batter on the fish in The Yorkshire Fisheries Cafe but they are much more expensive. But the chips were great too from the Tower Fisheries. It’s going to be hard to beat they are up against good nearby rivals but certainly worth a visit and a good meal . Sit in and enjoy it it’s cheap enough you won’t get attacked by the seagulls . I would go back it is very clean inside the food is enjoyable for me to go back it is tasty . So if you have not got much money leftover to go to the Yorkshire Fisheries I suggest that you try Tower Fisheries you won’t be disappointed at all . I will be back some day hopefully get to sit in but we have a dog normally with us and we sit in our car all huddled up with our fish & chips and the food from The Tower Fisheries is great especially when nothing better than their fish & chips at the seaside . Go on give them a try great value.

This is where I had first taste of a British fish and chips since moving in the UK. I can say great food and underrated because it's really nice but also very affordable 👌

I ordered 3 meals and I explained 2 or 3 times for no peas and when we took it outside to sit on bench then realised had peas on. Then went back and asked them to replace it. They never apologised and had to recook it then they tried to charge me for a fork for there mistake I am very unhappy.

Came here last year after watching a YouTube review so we tried it because of the £4.75 fish and chips and was great but 1 year later we return yesterday …….. same meal £7.50 and small portions and on arrival the fish just had a weard smell and when cutting into it was unbearable. Just smelt off all 3 of us returning them and not paying . I eat fish a lot and this was not right . But staff didn’t pressure us for the money but tower fisheries sort your fish supplier out as it will cost you your business???

Visited here a few months ago and thought it was excellent. As I'm back in Blackpool, I thought I would give it another go and it did not disappoint. How the owner manages to deliver excellent food at such low prices is beyond me, first class fish and chips at am extremely reasonable price. The children's plates are £1.00 I have never seen a cafe with a children's portion at only £1.00. Hats off to the owner, fish, chips and peas special, pudding, chips, peas and gravy special bread and butter for two and two cups of tea £15.00, excellent service and food.

It's been a while since eating at tower fisheries. But as normal the food service, and cleanliness is above board. Great food, great mug of tea, great price for the special cod chips mushy peas, mug of tea £7.50. will be back soon , I promise.

Simply the best value chippy ever.The fish & chips are excellent. £6.50 for fish,chips and mushy peas to eat in the cafe.The staff are lovely and the owners have been there for nearly 30 years.

We follow MacMaster on YouTube he recommended this chippy, so we went and it was absolutely great. Getting there the M6 & M55 was busy as Blackpool lights were on and it took a drive of 90 minutes each way, but we parked so easily 2 mins away. Used Pay by phone to pay this was also so easy. Anyway — What great food, really good, we had 3 Fish & Chips 2 gravy 2 peas curry 4 drinks which was all perfect and what lovely helpful staff. Would also 100% recommend.

In the 21 years I lived in Blackpool (88-09) I was a frequent customer as it was the best Restaurant and Takeaway in town. After 15 years I returned to Blackpool and called in for a meal. I was thrilled to find that nothing had changed! They are still the best Restaurant and Takeaway in Blackpool! The prices are still lower than anywhere else and the service is superb! I had two lovely Jumbo Sausages, a generous portion of chips, gravy to die for, bread and butter and a Mug of Coffee for only £8.50!!! The service was quick and efficient, the cleanliness was second to none and it was a nice relaxed atmosphere. There's plenty of tables, but they're not crammed together. The decor is pleasant. You can pay by card or cash. There's absolutely nothing to fault here!!! In an uncertain world it was lovely to see that an establishment that I've always held close to my heart and judged others by is the same as it's always been. That's probably why they have always held such high regard amongst locals and regular Tourists. Thank you so much for a lovely meal! I won't leave it so long before I return!

Very reasonably priced fish and chip shop with friendly staff. We had the fish, sausage and scampi bites. All tasted very nice. Will def visit again if down.

Its easy for me to say that this is the best chippy in the whole of Blackpool, and ive been to many. Under £7 for fish, chips and peas is a bargain. The chips were gorgeous. Not dry or frozen but proper chippy chips. Needed to order another portion as they were so good. Nice size fish and lovely mushy peas. Topped off with a hot cup of tea. This will be my lunch time treat place whenever im in Blackpool

This place was so so, in terms of the price cheap and reasonable portions. The batter was dark in colour almost orange. Not very crispy. The cod tasted kinda a strong fishy taste and the fish was a bit dry and over cooked. The fish quality didn't seem very fresh in taste The size was more regular than a large fish. The chips were soft and cooked well. But it gave off a burnt smell when I opened up the bag. Not sure if it's from old oil. Only provide salt and vinegar. Sauce packets are 10p each Unfortunately the smell of the meal was off putting. So I wouldn't return again.

First visit to tower fisheries and it definitely won't be the last. Excellent food, service and prices so glad we found this great restaurant. Recommended.

Outsanding value for money I've been dining here for 20 years, same owners . Used by the local community, serving quality restaurant food at take away prices .

Absolutely blown away by this place.. Fish cooked fresh, chips light and fluffy. Peas out of this world.. and all for just under £6. Don’t waste your hard earned cash in any other takeaway. Head straight here..

Best fish n chips ever. Most of us had the special.deal of fish chips peas bread n butter and a cuppa for 6 quid or £6.95 I can't remember. But it was awesome Also they do good potato fritters and mushy peas for veggie folk. Lovely friendly service. And it was busy, out of season which is a good sign. Highly recommended.

Called in on a quiet Sunday afternoon, place looks nothing special from the outside and the interior decor is nothing special either. However as the reviews we had seen were so good we decided to give it a go. We both ordered the steak pudding special, at £6.95 including a brew this is superb value for money and possibly the cheapest in Blackpool. The food was excellent, chips really well cooked and mushy peas spot on. We normally go to The Yorkshire Fisheries just down the road but at twice the price we have now found our new, regular venue.

We usually go to Yorkshire Fisheries when visiting Blackpool but I had been told to try here. It's actually on the same street (Topping) but we wouldn't walk past it going the way we do. However, quickly found it and looked at the specials board outside which was advertising some very reasonable meal deals. We decided to try it and so glad we did. We were welcomed in by a very friendly lady, who we spoke to later and found out ran it with her husband and has been doing so for many years. They are obviously very proud of their business and it shows. The place is spotlessly clean, all the tables had sparkling glass bottles of salt, pepper and vinegar, all filled to the brim. We both decided on the Cod meal which included chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and tea or coffee. From our table we could see our fish being freshly prepared and it arrived a short time later. Nicely presented, good portion and everything was delicious, fabulous light crispy batter. Even the tea, which can be a bit suspect at some chippies, was lovely as was the bread and butter, cut lengthways not diagonal as some do ? do they not realise how awkward this makes it to make a chip butty! No complaints at all and we shall certainly be visiting n a regular basis. Unbelievable value for what we got, literally half the price of other places in the resort. They even do a three course meal were you can get a bowl of soup to start and a pudding for another couple of quid!

After reading all the good reviews I decided to try this chip shop what a disappointment..decided on large fish n chips with a single haggis to carry out got back to the room opened the box so let's start on the fish which was very thin and batter was thick and bland the chips were thin cut and not much taste the only saving grace was the haggis pudding which was good ..I don't like to give bad review but it was a terrible meal which cost 10.40 ..I don't mind paying for food but sorry defo not worth the money

Ordered large fish n chips to take away also single haggis ..what I got was a large batter with very thin fish that you could hardly taste .the chips were thin and dry and no taste either ..the only nice thing was the haggis .cost was 10.45 which if was edible is a good price ..tbh I threw most of it in the bin as it was bad ..I don't like leaving bad reviews but when its bad it's bad I won't be back sorry and dont no if I just had a bad experience on this occasion..

Whilst visiting my partner in Lytham St Anne's, we went out for lunch to Blackpool. Found a lovely little cafe on Topping Street, Cod, chips, peas, curry sauce, bread and butter, and a cup of tea plus pudding, chips, peas, Gravy, bread and butter, and a cup of tea eating in £ 15. The cafe area was lovely and clean, very family friendly and excellent kids meals from £1.00 could not believe the value for money. Fish was the nicest I have had in a long time, very light and crispy batter. Peas are traditional soaked in bicarb. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Blackpool.

After reading reviews and thinking that's cheap, I have also owned a couple of fish and chip shops in the past. I ordered a large cod and chips, when it arrived I noticed the cod didn't look large, it was very thin and hardly had any battery on it, on tasting it I believe it was not cod, bit hard to tell because the oil it was fried in badly needed changing. The chips were ok but very small portion. I usually go to Yorkshire fisheries down the road their cod is cod, their normal size fish is same size, batter tastes like batter, I will go back there. Cheap is not always best.

Let's be frank. It's in competition with Yorkshire fisheries up the road. And for the life of me I can't understand why? Tower Fisheries is AMAZING, it more than stands on its own two feet. The prices are HALF of their competitors up the road and the service is outstanding. Friendly! Their restaurant is old cafe style, we love that here in Blackpool. It's welcoming. The fish is banging. Costs you £18 up the road for fish n chips... here, £6pp in chips and a side. And if you ask for it lightly battered that's what you get. I like a thin, crispy batter myself. You need to try the Yorkshire fishcake too. Fish between two escalopes of potatoes and then deep fried. Coor. It's Delicious. Forget the name sake of others and try about 50ft down the street here. It's so so much better. Trust me 🙏

Was not as good as expected as was reported by Macmasterand Stephen of Walk on the wildside. Yes, the price is affordable, but the fish was thin the batter greasy. The chips were reheated, maybe. The bread and margarine were cheap, and I had the bad oil taste in my mouth and throat for nearly two days .

Not the best chippy in the area but definitely the cheapest. For the prices they charge you can't really complain at what you're given to be honest.

I arrived here very hungry after a lot of travelling and needed something quick to eat. The Cheese and Onion pie was heated well, and the chips were also nice. Very cheap, which is good!

We had a delicious Saturday tea here. The food was lovely, freshly cooked and with first class service. And, don’t tell the owners but it was an absolute bargain. Can’t wait to return, much better value than their Yorkshire neighbours.

What does 2 decades running the same businesses mean , it means you get quality & consistency at a affordable price , that’s exactly what you get at tower fisheries . The restaurant is spotlessly clean and the owners are very welcoming . I have been twice this week I would highly recommend trying this jewel in the crown especially if you have children it’s really great value for money .

I’m a bit fussy when it comes to fish and chips. I like the chips just so. They were light and fluffy. They were not crispy (how they should be). They were light in colour. Just perfect!!! The fish wind wonderful with crispy batter. All served up with a very friendly smile. Thank you Tower Fisheries!

100% increase in price since last visit and the Quality and portion size was a lot less. My friend found fine bones in her fish which stopped her finishing her meal . Won't return

Was in the area and wanted somewhere good to have fish and chips, without the hustle and bustle of the big chain venues and sea front places, so reading the good reviews we came here. The lady came to the table took our order and before long we were tucking into our large fish and chips, one with curry sauce and one with beans. 👍 The batter on the fish was light and crunchy, the fish was pure white and cooked perfectly, the chips were a little golden in colour and very tasty, only little niggle was as the curry sauce and beans had been served in stainless steel gravy boats, they were a little cooler than we would have liked, but other than that, spot on and it didn't cost the earth. I'll definitely be calling back again the next time I'm in the area.

Food very poor, my mistake was heading to Yorkshire fishery, but saw this and looked at reviews, reviews looked promising, but the chips were very dark and under cooked asked for extra large fish they ran out (usually most chippy would apologise and give two small ones, the mushy peas were very dark and thick so all in all I would not recommend this chippy, and walk the extra two minutes but you don't know until you try, My work colleague asked for jumbo sausage with chips and got two small ones and they were tasteless, my nephew ordered pie and chips he left the chips and mushy peas, and he doesn't like wasting food, sorry to say it's a NO to this chippy Sorry no photos as left phone in van

Came here off the back of some YouTubers including walk with me Tim. The food prices are so low it’s crazy. I fed 2 adults and 3 kids for just £18!!! 2 fish chips and peas (adult size) 2 sausages Steak and kidney pie Large chips The food was good but I didn’t think the chips looked as good as I’ve seen. However… I did go on a Monday at 5 and the town was EMPTY so may have not been the freshest chips. But they did Taste good. The fish was excellent. And I shouldn’t moan really as the prices are insane!!

An unassuming but hidden treasure in Blackpool Town Centre, I'd say this establishment is perhaps one of the most underrated and overlooked locations for a damn good fish and chips in the town. Cheap though absolutely delicious, the service is always amiable, speedy and accommodating. The owners are delightful and clearly work hard to keep their business going, I would definitely recommend to residents and tourists. You can find more expensive, but I dare say you won't find better than doesn't burn a hole in your wallet. A hidden gem and one that you should definitely not overlook when you're hungry.
