Gilligan's on St Johns Square right in the centre of Blackpool. Good choice of home made food from an extensive menu.

Just had a pre show meal at quilligans. Lovely food. Very attentive staff. Reasonable prices especially given where it is. Menu has good old British choices. Would highly recommend.

We called in for breakfast whilst staying in Blackpool. The service was quick and the menu is massive, which initially worried us but there was no need to be. My family are vegetarian and said their veggie eggs course was delicious and the breakfasts looked amazing. Great find.

First time me and my friends went here and we were greatly appreciative of the kind staff, the food was amazing and definitely worth every penny. Not from Blackpool, but I will definitely return to this place when we come back to Blackpool.

Ate here twice on our recent visit to Blackpool and we weren't dissapointed.. the food was lovely and tasty! The staff are all so pleasant and helpful and the cafe Bar is so modern and very clean!! Will definitely return on our next visit!!

I've been here sporadically over the years but haven't been in a few years til today and is still just as good , always good food , a really good selection to chose from , staff are always pretty inviting , it's pretty reasonable price wise and it couldn't be any better place right next to the winter gardens.....I'd very much recommend nipping in for a bit of breakfast or lunch whilst out shopping 👍.

my food was absolutely beautiful .my partner also really enjoyed his burger and fries . Shaun our server was absolutely lovely and so welcoming 🥰 We are from Manchester and only visited for a few days . i know for a fact im going to be craving that Cajun wrap for the foreseeable future 😂 we will definitely see you again soon thank you so much ♥️

Called in for lunch with husband on Thursday 29th August both had fish & chips or should I say batter & chips hardly any fish in the batter lots of flies near our table putting us off our food was going to order dessert but changed mind as didn't fancy sharing it with the flies won't be back

Clean, polite, great food right in the center.

I've been going here regularly for years but today they have lost my custom. Ordered food for myself and 3 children, 1 being a salad that was half a bowl of raw onions and 1 being a kids mac and cheese. By the time the bowl of lava had cooled enough for the 4 year old to eat it the rest of us had almost finished and she said it doesn't taste nice. I tried a piece and it had a very funny taste to it. Unfortunately the staff don't ask how your food is and trying to grab one from across the room is nigh on impossible. So I went up to pay and said that she hadn't eaten more than 3 pieces of pasta from the bowl as she didn't like it and could they remove it from the bill. I was told that no they wouldn't remove it as I should gave asked for something else. I explained that it was still bubbling when it came out and was far too hot for her to eat and we were done by the time it was. She then told me that it's not policy that staff ask how food is and up to me to chase staff around as they don't remove items from the bill. I then said OK well I'll take a kids meal to go then and she just walked away from me! I have a physical disability so don't have the ability to "chase" staff around. The woman was unnecessarily rude to me and I won't be returning, or taking my many visiting friends there again.

Full menu available all day including make your own breakfasts, perfect service, proper homemade burgers and decor superb!!

Absolutely brilliant every time! Very friendly staff and the customer service is impeccable! Love the food, me and my husband have been many times and never had a bad meal. Plenty to choose from too!

Great meet up with a friend and healthy breakfast poached egg on brown bread n black coffee . .. very reasonable too, helpful staff and very tasty, ideal for town centre

Had a lovely breakfast and lunch here. The staff are so friendly and very welcoming service is fast. They had a stage across the way from coastal radio with different singers on, so had fantastic entertainment aswell we will definitely come back here next time we in Blackpool

We have been here on a number of occasions but have not been for around 5 years or so as we have not been to visit Blsckpool. First stop was Quilligans for breakfast and it did not disapoint. Food and service still exceptional and it it is still one of our favourite places to eat in Blackpool. The sausages on the full English are exceptional and I would highly recommend 👌

Went here for lunch and had a barbecue chicken wrap, with a bucket of fries, and it was very yummy! Came with side salad and coleslaw, which was very fresh and tasty. The cappuccino ain't half bad either! All served with a smile. 😃 Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Excellent lunch today 11 June 2024, fish chips peas and a nice pot of tea. Staff polite, efficient and pleasant. I will be going again another day.

Food was average, wasnt overly hot and even though I asked for white coffee I got black ask guy for milk he forgot and waited for food to come before getting milk. Sausages was best I've had although over all the breakfast day before at slug n lettuce was far better for slightly less money.

3 of us had wraps, 2 x cajun and one seafood, very nice and quick to be brought out. Service polite and quick. Would visit again

Called in for lunch. Friendly staff, large varied menu. Food served was well.presented, fresh and ample portion sizes. Good value for money, only gripe for us was the cost of the soft drinks so we had Tea instead which wasn't a great accompaniment to the food but as the food was so nice.....

This place is a gem! The food is amazing, the family who runs it is so welcoming, and the prices are fantastic. We make it a point to come here every other week – it's our favorite treat, and it never disappoints!

Went for breakfast. The food was top quality. Proper sausage. Really friendly service. Lovely decor. They have this great system where they have a double sided card which you turn over when you are ready to order. Great idea. Well worth it.

Used to love this place not been in while however, daughters burger was inedible when we visited yesterday was like a giant meat ball with the cheese really burnt on top and the bun as flat as a pancake, couldn’t even pick it up. When she did bite into it, it crumbled to bits. I did let the waitress know but she ran off as quick as I told her, expecting her to come back to offer refund/replacement but when she didn’t, my daughter was embarrassed for me to say anything further, so just paid and went when should of refused really to pay for the burger. Sorry but won’t be coming back here again not when it cost £28 for two basic meals really disappointed

Quilligans café bar is a fantastic venue just slightly hidden away by the Winter Gardens in Blackpool's town centre. The choice of food options is almost as large as the menus they're listed on. Everything is cooked and made to order and is of excellent quality. I can thoroughly recommend the eggs benedict as they use incredibly tasty and quality ham coupled with perfectly poached eggs and a lovely hollandaise sauce. The thick chips come with a gorgeous peppercorn sauce, and the smoked salmon open sandwiches were plentiful and fresh. If you're in the town centre looking for a good café you can't go wrong with quilligans.

Used to be good when it was downstairs but now too much of a cheap cafe feel. Good quick service but far too cocky maitre d with a top knot thinking he is running the ritz.. he put us off with his arrogance. too much plastic and cheap cutelry.

The small room on the side is magnificent (I'm talking about the ceramics on the wall) The dishes are good, very generous. The staff is very friendly

Very disappointed Soup had no taste so I asked for it to be changed to a prawn cocktail which they did no problem and it was nice the mains came I had lasagne which was 3 layers of pasta with a bit of minced meat and lashings of tomato soup not enjoyable at all (cut down on the soup add a bit of cream into it 100% improvement) portion of chips which were cold and unable to eat. No one came to do a check back on our food and no one came to clear our table for the 50 mins we sat finishing our drinks although there were plenty staff chatting at the otherside of the restaurant. All in all have used this place for a long time before they moved and the food was always top notch. Came once before since they relocated and it was OK so I thought I would give it a second chance sincerley wish I hadn't! Upon paying for our food I told the woman on the till that we couldn't eat the chips as they were cold her reply...well you should have told someone...sums the service up in one sentence really none existent...so sad used be soooo good 👎👎👎

We have been to coming here for years, never changes, great food, loads of choice from one of the biggest menu's you will ever see. Service is quick with very pleasant staff, give them a go, you will go back.

Enjoyed my meal here (mixed grill) chicken breast was lovely too. Garlic bread was a bit dry and kids chicken nuggets didn't look too nice and never got ate though. Service was friendly and nice relaxed atmosphere inside.

Fabulous place, Fabulous food. I had a full English breakfast and toast, shame that it could of had one more butter to go with it and one more maralade to go with it. I had a cup of tea, but only got to sugar portions for it, would of been better having two more, but everything else was so nice, would recommend to people to come.

By luck we found this on our little trip to Blackpool. We went twice for breakfast and it was yummy. The service was amazing and when we go back we will definitely revisit.

Excellent breakfast!! Don't pay your hotel for a buffet you have to queue at when you can get served at this beautiful cafe with delicious food and excellent service. Very smart system for signalling you are ready to order! Oh and good coffee is hard to find!

2 meals came out then we had to wait at least 5 mins for the rest if not longer. The worst hunters chicken I have ever had

Worst full English ever. Tough barely grilled tomato,chewy overcooked bacon, overcooked eggs and rock hard mushrooms. Server was miserable couldn't crack a smile.

Service from here was fantastic the staff very polite and helpful. Unfortunately the food let it down badly .hair in our food found. The coleslaw tasted off . Was first time here . Can't fault the staff for fast friendly service But the food was a let down

Avoiding from now on. We loved coming here, visited at least every other month, recommended to all friends but won’t be going back. Our last two trips have been really disappointing. The service use to be amazing, now it feels like half of them can’t be arsed serving you, no friendly welcoming as you enter and no one checks on the food once it’s arrived. The food is nice, had two small issues recently but the way it was dealt with made you feel like you’re the issue when you ask for it to be corrected. Never had a problem with the food before our last two visits and again the issues with the food aren’t the reasons we won’t be returning. Such as shame because this was one of my favourite places in Blackpool, it’s now not worth the money when you come away slightly frustrated by the service. For us going out for a meal is a real treat and we’ve come away this weekend really regretting our choice, especially because it was a birthday treat.

10 out of 10 for this place. A huge selection of food at a reasonable price too! Staff are very good. A great place to watch the world go by. Look for the Winter Gardens then it's on the left.

I've been to Quilligan's a few times over the years, and the story is usually the same each time I dine there. Today, I ordered the jumbo breakfast and a bacon and mushroom omelette. The breakfast came out fine; everything on that was as asked for. However, my dining partner received a bacon and cheese omelette instead of the meal she had asked for. Nobody came to check on us, and when she eventually flagged it with the waiting staff, he just shrugged it off. No replacement was offered. At the till, the omelette was discounted - but the person operating the till thought it was amusing that the mistake had been made. Overall, a poor service with serviceable food. The price, I think, is accurate for the quality of the food.

Friendly enough to offer us a free brew and bacon sandwich when we're cold outside 😅👍

I can't believe I'd never been to Quilligans before having lived in Blackpool for so long, and now I've been twice in a fortnight! The welcome was lovely, the staff were brilliant, and the food... Oh my. I had a panini the first visit and a burger for the second and I enjoyed both meals. Both times I had a mint choc milkshake and I've become addicted to them - thick enough to stand a spoon up but not too thick to drink. It helps that you're also given a big strae that is wider than a normal one. One lovely thing they do is to put a coaster on the table when first seated to the side that let's the staff know you're still thinking. When you're ready, you flip it over and the staff will come take your order - makes you not feel "rushed" to decide.

Really enjoy the food here. No frills just good wholesome food. Been here a few times now and they have never failed

How big is this Menu.. I needed a Peroni whilst reading it.. Lovely Cafe Bar.. Food is of good quality and service great. Cant fault it its not fine dining but some dishes are as good as home. This is a popular cafe next to Winter Gardens.

Terrible! Went in with a mate and it was a shocking experience! The food was dreadful, and the service was awful! No one came back to check on us to see how the food was or even offer us another drink!

Order gluten free bun for burger due to me having coeliac disease and they gave me regular bun and the burger was over cooked and it cost me £26 for 2 of those burgers and a 7 up.

The menu is big with a good selection and has burger gluten free options but when I ordered the burger it came and was very dry an not very appetizing and the chips were dripping in grease which wasn't ideal. I wouldn't recommend

Clean tidy, quick service. Plenty to choose from as the menu options are massive. Heart of Blackpool and easy to get too. Prices are normal for the type of cafe.

Have been using quilligans for years even before they moved, today for the first time my meal came out cold, when I told the staff he simply said I don't think so it's just come out of the oven, so I said get the kitchen to probe it and you will see. After my husband nearly finished eating half of the breakfast my burger still wasn't back just left with the fries, so we decided to pay and leave. Counter staff i think new was also very rude. WILL NOT BE BACK AGAIN. bread and butter all year round customers not anymore.

Very large menu with huge amounts of choice. Excellent service and lovely staff. We had a breakfast and a sirloin steak wrap, sadly the food wasn't great. Couldn't eat the sausages as they must have been sat under heat for so long they'd gone dry and crispy all the way through. Bacon was well cooked but didn't really taste of anything. Sirloin steak wrap only had 5 small pieces of steak which was quite fatty, not great for just under £11. Overall quite disappointing.

Great place to eat. Been here most times I go into town now. The build your own breakfast is brilliant value for money as is the American pancakes. Reasonably priced and food always nice and hot and fresh. The staff are also really friendly and will answer any questions you may have in a timely and professional manner.

Your website needs updating we arrived at 3.55 was about to walk in and they said they were closing we travelled especially to this restaurant as we’re never disappointed until today a wasted journey. If you close different hours out of season you should hi light this. 😕 on your website

Lovely little place went in with my children last night. The food was lovely and the coffees. Friendly staff and good service and we went back for breakfast this morning too, again great all round, would really recommend this place

I left Blackpool 5 years ago. Quilligans is a few doors down from where it was back then. still all the old faves on the menu. still great service. The new location is really nice . Iloved the old place but hey the quality hast changed only the building

Had a bbq chickin it was very tuff and dry but everything else was very good , service was very quick and pleasant would go again

Sadly I have to give 2 stars. Staff are brilliant. Can't fault them But food wasn't up to par. Had steak pie and a chicken pie. Both were extremely salty. So could not finish. Didn't even get half way. Steak pie meat was extremely tough and had lots of small tubes ( basically large bloody vessels ) poking out of several bits. You usually notice them as you cut the meat up. It was also extremely tough. Chicken was tough also. Mushy peas were not mushy peas. It was whole marrowfat peas in like warm water. Sad as last time we were there steak pie was amazing.
