Havent been to this chipper for a few years went last nite it was first class fish was lovely chips yummy girl behind counter was lovely & Hendry remembered who i was. Hendry dont ever leave Torry your the best chipper all round.

Been there since at least the '80s. Good to see them back. Good food, good chips and unlike so many, they have not jacked their prices up!

This was a great chipper with good portions however the last few weeks the chip portions half halved. The prices have went up which in the current climate is fair enough and the dish is still a good size but to half the chip portions is not on especially when we were used to the portions as we share a fish supper. Don't halve the chip portion just put the price up for god's sake. Otherwise it a great chipper

Great chipper. Fish 🐟 is always really fresh and huge, batter is excellent. Pineapple 🍍 fritters are absolutely delicious and the chips always tasty and cooked to perfection. On top of that Henry the owner is a lovely friendly man and very efficient too. First class.

Cash only can be hit or a miss but usually a hit, i like to buy a fish supper and then take it upto torry battery and watch the harbour and dolphins

Very good haddock and chip supper, generous portions which filled us up. Curry sauce = decent, would have been nice to have mushy peas too but oh well.!!!! 4 stars x

Visited this evening Tuesday 7th September 2021 at 19:40pm , fresh fish and Chips exactly as they should be , good sized portions and priced very well at £7:90p , photos attached are of the meal I bought, no queuing straight in and out with a wee bit of chat from the guy behind the counter , highly recommended.

Absolutely disgusting food that I wouldn’t give to my dog! This is the WORST food I have ever had from any take away in Aberdeen! AVOID!

Friendly, decent and reasonably priced food

My sub fish bar as Mikado (nearest) was closed despite being advertised as open on TripAdvisor...jeezes the fish was honking and stank out my friends house in mins...never ever going back.

Amazing chippy, food is always great and their chips are the best 👌 the staff are extremely friendly and always give great service. Their Jumbo sausage 😍 definitely recommend.

Best chipper in town. Real homemade chips from scratch. Fish is fresh and Frye's beautifully. Strongly recommend to anyone dancing a chipper supper. Yummy!

Excellent service with delicious food

I bloody love this place, I eat here at least twice a week, sometimes more. The chips are amazing and everything on the menu that I have tried (All but the corn on the cob) has been blooming ace. Most recently, last week in fact I had a fish supper with mushy peas and a white pudding on the side. It was beautiful, and had I not had a heart attack I would have eaten the lot. It never went to waste though, the girlfriend had it in the ambulance on the way to ARI. She gave it a thumbs up too although she did say the pudding was a bit soggy. Think she ate the bit I spat out while clutching my chest. Doctor says I’ve to start looking after myself and to consider my heart and eating habits, So I’m gonna drive there in future.

Good batter on everyones food and special mention for a lovely piece of fish. Pleased that the chips had some colour, not the peely-wally things you often get these days.

I can honestly say this is the best fish supper I’ve ever had! The fish is so fresh and the batter delicious and I love the chips 10/10 from me !! Cooked fresh and tastes fresh

Awful If i could rate it less i would, such a shame as this chipper was the best in aberdeen and we travelled across town just to get one but today the chicken fillets were burnt and chicken pie was dry as anything no sauce near it, chips were ok tasted worse but also tasted better wont be going back

Brill fish and chip shop, Biggest fish I have ever had in Aberdeen, chunky white flesh and fresh ( I worked in fish before army) Chips are also brill and a big scoop. 9/10 will deffo be back....oh and very good prices as well.

Best chippy in Aberdeen without doubt. Never had a duff supper from them. But don't rely too much on the open/closing times given here. Some nights during the week they may shut as early as 8pm. Guess it just depends how much business they do.

Old Skool chipper, the staff are amazing and most likely the best chipper in Aberdeen. This shop has been here forever, its worth travelling out your way for this.

Probably the best Chipper in the North East. And I'm a fat person and trust me I've tried them all. Properly tastes like when you were a kid. Decent sizes good prices, classic chipper staff. Makes you miss moray cup so much.

There is not much to recommend the place. We chanced upon this outlet last week having given up on the search for excellence elsewhere in the Granite City. A friend advised that it was ok. But it was not. Problems began when ordering. ‘Two Haddock suppers please’ led to a staff query ‘Is that fish?’ Well, yes it was but given the state of the batter, we should have just ordered chips. The batter was rubbery and tasted of something the cat spat out. The chips were fine though. I often wonder why chippers can’t just excel at their craft. I mean, how hard can it be to fry a decent fish in batter? Untrained staff perhaps. Or just uncaring owners’ intent on a fast buck … and reliant on a late night clientele.

Place has been here for ever, great chips, love picking up a supper and then going up the Battery to eat it.

Really disappointed with tonight's meal My other halfs order was fish and chips. I collected an hour after opening time so everything would have been fresh, or so one would have thought, however when I took it home and I only live 2 minutes away, The fish was luke warm and dry My partner even went as far to say it was the worst Chipper he'd ever had!

There are bigger chains and names for fish and chips in Aberdeen that do a great job. But they don't touch the overall taste and quality of Torry Fish Bar.

Queriendo algo de comer decidí probar este lugar después de escuchar mucho sobre él. aunque estaba ocupado cuando llegué, el servicio fue bastante rápido y el personal era amable, opté por pudín rojo y el precio de las patatas fritas era razonable y la comida era buena, probablemente la mejor que he tenido definitivamente en el futuro.

Not the best in Aberdeen but it's certainly a very good one. The fish and chips were excellent, although there was no option for a large fish, it was very tasty and not greasy at all. The service was quick as well.

Recently having moved from Glasgow where we were spoiled for excellent chippies to Aberdeen, we have been on the look out for a great chip shop. Have found this to be the best around plus friendly staff too.

Fantastic! Friendly staff and yummy food! Prices are reasonable and a varied menu. Would definitely recommend.
