Ordered sushi from Toro 4-5 times now, each time it's well packaged, fresh and really tasty. The vegan options are great, with quite a few different selections. Love it, it's my go to place for sushi delivery.

Well worth checking out. Authentic cuisine all freshly prepared Tempura prawns are double delish! Highly recommended!

Amazing sushi! We used to eat with these guys at fujiama a few years ago and were so happy to find they had opened a little shop just down the road from us! As always the quality of the food is top notch and service is with a smile. We are looking forward to our next meal there and very glad they also do take away. Prices are very good and we will definitely be using them again!

My wife and I ordered a takeout on a Friday and were surprised to find out that there was a 40 mins wait for the food. Which is both good and bad: bad because we had to wait for so long (but that’s just me being impatient ha ha); good because it is a popular and busy place and all the food is made fresh to order. The 40 mins wait was well worth it!!! The food was DELICIOUS!!!!! I have paid double the price for sushi just as good as this in central London. We are so lucky to have such a gem of a place in Leigh. The staff were very kind, friendly and welcoming....they even convinced me to try eel next time. And I will, even though I hate it! Thanks Toro team. Keep up the great work and I look forward to trying eel next time.

Excellent. Can't say anything other than that. Real sushi compares to supermarket stuff like brie to processed cheese. Well it's not as good. Toro has great staff and the food is divine. We had the veggie things and stuffed pancakes. You have to try this stuff to believe how lovely it is. Highly recommended

Have visited Toro Sushi a number of times since it opened and must say, the menu is very good, the staff super friendly and the Sushi is totally “Oishi” Defy worth a visit.

We've been waiting for these guys to re-open at their new location on Leigh Road! Sushi cravings have been crazy, and we were extremely pleased to see that their normal, fantastic, service has been resumed! We popped in yesterday on their re-opening day to order a medium sushi selection, a dragon roll, 2x vegetarian gyoza and also some of their ice-cream mochi balls. Tasty as always! Reasonably priced too! The new decor in the shop is beautiful, we sat on the new "tatami" seating area, which is really cozy and gives an authentic japanese feel. They've expanded their menu slightly and there's even Green Tea Lattes now! We'll definitely be back again!

The food is always top class and very consistent, and we regularly have a takeaway from them of a Friday evening. Never had an issue and the food is delicious! 5* food and service guaranteed!

I love sushi, and I was looking for somewhere new to get my fix. Stumbled across Toro Sushi on my way home from work, as I was initially going to grab some food from Waitrose. I popped in to see a small sushi shop and decided to give it a try. The staff are very friendly. I ordered a dragon roll, a salmon sashimi, and a small sushi selection. It was good to see that they made everything fresh, and I didn't mind waiting 10 to 20 minutes for them to prepare everything. The price is very reasonable - much cheaper than London prices that I'm used to, and it's very competitive with other sushi places in the area. The smell of them frying their tempura prawns freshly is heavenly! Once they had completed my order and shown me all of it before packing it into a takeaway bag, I couldn't resist and I had to eat a few of the dragon roll straight away! Super tasty and fresh, with the warm, crispy, tempura prawn inside with cool mayo and cucumber. I finished off the rest of the roll, along with the sashimi and sushi later on once I had got home. All in all, a very tasty and reasonably priced sushi shop! I believe they'll be moving, as I've seen a banner up on Leigh Road. Can't wait to order sushi from Toro again once they've moved! Will be much more convenient too.

Recently ordered takeout from Toros via Deliveroo on a Saturday lunchtime. Was busy moving into a new place with the girlfriend, her and her brother are veggie/vegan so wanted to order from here. Not being a massive sushi fan in general I opted for what I believe were called ‘Dragon Rolls’, as they had tempura prawns. Order arrived well within the estimated time and everything was wonderfully packaged. I ate roughly half the portion of dragon rolls provided and set the rest aside for later (these were eventually thrown out). By time Saturday evening came round I had a fever, headaches and a lack of appetite. The fever lasted until Monday morning, however that’s when stomach cramps and consequently diarrhoea started happening, which is currently on going having so far resulted in me missing two days of work. I will try and balance this review and say that the items my girlfriend and her brother had (Veg Box, Yakisoba & Veg Gyoza) were apparently all fantastic and they’ll likely order again if given the chance. I’ve already read other reviews of this establishment across other platforms and my unfortunate food poisoning does seem to be an isolated incident. However I would say that Toro’s response to any review it deems less that satisfactory is rather obscene in that they tend to reply aggressively whilst throwing the UK Defamation Act 2013 about.

Been 3 times in the last 3 weeks and not been let down once! They are so friendly and helpful, food is always fresh and hot when it is meant to be. Very reasonable and will beat any overpriced supermarket sushi if you can wait 10mins for them to prepare it in front of you 😉 nothing is ever too much for them and I wish I could give them more than 5 stars because they truly deserve it!

Visited with my mother and we were both blown away by the food, it was amazing quality and so delicious.

Just tried for the first time and ordered some takeaway sushi boxes for the family. The sushi was prepared while i waited, so was really fresh and tasty. Really enjoyed it, good value for money, will be back :)

Fantastic Sushi, fresh tasting and delicious - the best in Leigh-on-Sea. The dragon rolls are worth a try, as is the imported Japanese lemonade

Love this place. We go here once every couple of weeks for our sushi-fix and have never had better. We take it home and have sushi nights in our dining room and it’s always such a treat. Bonnie & Eddie are are so lovely too, it’s always great to catch up with them when we pick up our food.

Can’t recommend this place enough! Always top quality, the salmon sashimi is to die for! I’ve eaten a LOT of sushi and nothing has come close to the quality at Toro. Bonnie and Eddie really know their stuff, glad to see their back in business!

Really good sushi and other food from the crew that used to run Fujiyama restaurant in Westcliff. These guys have been making sushi for years and you can really tell. Good service and prices too.

We found this new place on google and called to preorder. My friend is a vegan who also can’t have gluten but they were very accommodating and helpful. I love their dragon rolls and spider rolls. Great variety of hot food too, not just sushi. I’ll be back soon! I just wish they were open till later and do delivery.

Small inconspicuous sushi place, possibly a little spartan. Friendly & knowledgeable staff, but they did apparently formally own a Japanese restaurant for many years in the area.
