Absolutely awful don't bother - we ordered takeaway for delivery and 2hrs later we called and very unhelpful member of staff said waiting on delivery driver and had no idea when we could expect food!!!!! WILL NOT EVER BE USING AGAIN - APPALLING !!!!!!

Waiting 1 hour 20 mins Absolute joke freezing cold meal after a couple of decent ones call them to tell them and just tell you to get a refund no good customer service I won’t use again out of principle and would not recommend. curry sauce came out in one big lump rice stodgy chips wet and soggy 🤮🤮 avoid! So after this I today gave them the benefit of the doubt hoping it had improved well how wrong was I sent wrong items and items missing been on phone trying to sort it out 15 mins they also flytip in public bins. Horrible place.

Great tasty food and service they always cook fresh and the staff are friendly and helpful too my favorites are the shredded smoked chicken , house special noodles and beef black bean sauce Top marks from me 😁👍

Bad service. Ordered for collection so I could get it quicker , an hour later and still no email to say its ready as promised on the order confirmation email. I called to be told its been ready 15 minutes ( probably a lot longer as the crispy beef was now soggy beef ! ) I collected it and was offered no discount or more importantly no apology! Shocking service.

Lovely kid called Tom. Good strong. Bloke you should give him a raise he is trust worthy, loyal and above all else a solid cashier had him in my business for a while and seeing what he's getting paid now is just sad. Anyway good food for the dogs, overall ice location

Best Chinese take away for vegetarians. We’ve not found another take away that uses fake meat to replicate meat dishes and their dishes are very good! The veggie smoked chicken and satay chicken are amazing!

In addition to below, for the 2nd time now we have had no complimemtary prawn crackers after making an order of £29, very dissapointed again. We only ever order from Top Wok, we order at least twice per month and normally spend atleast £30 for the 2 of us as we can never decide what to order and always end up getting far too much. This time we ordered slightly less, spending approx £20 and considering how loyal we are, we were quite disappointed that there weren't any complimentary prawn crackers with our order, as there normally are. Food was good as usual, just slightly disappointed I'm afraid.

Beef with green pepper in black bean sauce was amazing. Will definitely go back again. Portion was enough for two and believe me, I eat a lot

Best Chinese takeaway in the area

First visit, very clean and well presented decor with open kitchen on display, and staff in uniform and pleasant enough. Food was fresh full of flavour and good size portion. Chicken Satay skewers were definitely a highlight. Would probably say it was more expensive than other Chinese, but they were quick to cook, the food was hot and the dishes were what you would expect from a good Chinese.

The ribs are out of this world and the best I've had in the UK, cooked to absolute perfection every time with lovely BBQ sauce, another nice dish Is the smoked chicken.

No other Chinese has as good food as this one. Always delicious and worth the price. Service great as well. 👍

We have eaten at top wok for a while and love the great tasting food they serve up! Never scrounge on portion sizes and we’ve never had a bad meal, would definitely recommend

We use top wok on a regular basis and whilst the food is good we have noticed that the amount you get in each container has been getting smaller. We haven't minded the reduced amounts too much because they were still adequate however last night my usual kung po pork was only two thirds full , I felt short changed at the time and hungry again before bedtime that's never happened before. Dissappointed 🙁

Love this place and have been coming here for years with my family as the food is high quality and is very good value for money.

Crazy expensive for such small portions of food. In my Tom Yum prawn soup i had two prawn. Taste nice but doesn’t worth the amount you pay. We wont be back

First time ordering with top wok Christchurch. Ordered 5 dishes: Salt and pepper squid - missing Top wok special rice - apparently contained chicken beef pork and prawns. I found 1 prawn, 2 tiddly strips of chicken and no pork. Chicken curry - ordered with no onions and no mushrooms, but contained onions and mushrooms. Kong po special - was correct but of mediocre quality. Singapore style rice noodles - very spicy and very good. Food was ordered over the phone for collection and was ready on time. 1 star as only 1 dish was deserving of the star. Shame as top wok ferndown and Parkstone are banging. If your after chineese in Christchurch use Dragon Palace.

My family and I have been ordering from Topwok for many years and are very loyal customers, there are a few nearby ones but TopWok is by far the best takeaway we’ve had. We cannot recommend this Chinese takeaway enough. We had ordered on a Saturday night for a party, and everyone loved the salt and pepper chips, as well as the satay chicken. TopWok always meets our expectations and staff are super friendly and understanding. Definitely will be ordering again soon.

We made a large order for 8 people but unfortunately the Singapore Noodles were so hot we were all unable to eat them. After telephoning to report our experience we were told that because we did not phone the same evening but the next day they were unwilling to do anything about it, it was in effect our fault as we had no proof. All we wanted was some recompense for the noodles out of a £100 order but we were refused. I will not be using them again.

We were a bit put off by the negative reviews, however we ordered over the phone and our food was ready in 10 minutes. As vegetarians there are limited options at other Chinese takeaways however we were impressed by the variety of dishes available. We had the veggie sweet and sour and veggie duck pancakes and both were incredibly delicious and suppassed all expectations and portion sizes were generous Overall will definitely be ordering here again.

I had to pick a star, however I would’ve chosen 0. I made an order online, they took my money and had my order. Yet when I went to collect my order, they told me the money had not come through. They then told me I would have to wait as they would need to cook it (even though they had it on pre order) I wouldn’t bother wasting your time. Staff couldn’t have cared less, or been more unhelpful. Don’t waste your time or money go somewhere that is worth you money!!!

My family’s go to Chinese Takeaway! Tends to be a little more expensive than most Chinese Takeaways but it’s more than worth it… you get so much food for your money and it is all beautiful! The chicken satay skewers are a must try!

The food is very good but their website is unusable. It freezes, doesn't allow you to complete checkout, and when you back it empties the basket. On Just Eat some of the items are missing so ordering on there isn't possible either. Please sort the website out, it's frustrating!

All food much too hot to continue eating as covered in excessice amount of chillies,when complained and asked for a refund, we were told no refund and only replacement items were offered ! Quality of food and service has dereriorated over the years unfortunately.

Kept us waiting 90 minutes for an order they hadn't received. Confirmation from website - 20201127164736300 - and a receipt emailed by their system, they didn't receive the order and then wanted us to wait a further 90 minutes. Said they'd look into it over the weekend. Will not be using this poorly run takeaway again. Bad service. Reading these reviews clearly not the first time its happened! Stick to places who can get their act together and actually deliver food you order.

Don't use their website to order food. I ordered a takeaway using their website and paid using their secure payment method. An hour later no food had arrived, and when I rang up they said the order didn't go through. They refused to prepare the food or give me my money back. 4 days later despite the fact that I can see the money left my bank account they are refusing to refund my payment. Disgraceful!!

Gone downhill and customer service is a waste of time when there's an issue. An example: Item missing from the 4 person order, rang to enquire only to be told it was never ordered despite it being ticked off the list twice as the order was placed and read back to me, it was also charged for which she aggressively denied. This is not an isolated incident and it's become an ongoing lame joke, taking bets on whose meal will be affected this time but it's a poor joke that has run its course, tonight was the last time they get to ruin a meal for us. Completely ignored specifics for the order despite accepting them at the point of order and reading them back to me to confirm. Oh and avoid the chicken curry unless you're a fan of gristle and connective tissue.

2 stars for the poor chap on the phone who gave brilliant customer service, unfortunately can't rate the food as it didn't turn up at the time it was supposed to and the restaurant didn't even know where the driver was. Restaurant then cancelled the order...

We've been ordering from Top Wok for well over a year now and almost every order there has been some kind of mistake, give them their due the mistakes were rectified every time, however, come this evening I ordered just for my wife and I ordered her usual which is the dish they normally get wrong. It arrived, she started eating it but it was dry, bland, tasteless and the noodles looked like they had been bleached they were so pale. I called up to complain and was told that a replacement would be sent and the old one taken away, fair enough. Over an hour went by with nothing so I called again to be told "we aren't sending you a replacement, the manager has told us not to because you've made too many complaints." My response to this was that the complaints were made about genuine mistakes and if they had followed any requests I had clearly stated then it wouldn't have been an issue. When there was a mistake the old order was always sent back so they weren't giving us "free food". The manager wasn't available to talk to despite him being the one who delivered the food only an hour prior to this but I was told he would call me back later to then be told no he won't it'llbe sometime this week! If I ran my business this way I'd be absolutely disgusted with myself. There was no management in the restaurant at all that could deal with it and no one had any intention of calling us to let us know our replacement food wasn't coming. We have spent an absolute fortune with this restaurant over the last year or so, sometimes ordered two or three times a week because we really like the food and it's very convenient, the service has always been sub-par but food was made up for it. I'm so incredibly disappointed with the service received this evening. The girls on the phone didn't even seem bothered. Top Wok you have lost some very regular customers tonight. Clearly good customer service isn't one of your priorities. I will await the refund you promised for the order and a call from the manager to deal with my complaint. Shameful business.

We have been regular customers of this takeaway for a very long time. This evening, I asked for 2 noodles and veggie chicken, both of the noodles was pale, almost white looking, it was drier than the Sahara Desert and completely tasteless. Rang up and they agreed to send out a new one and then send ours back (which they just throw away in the bin, which is a complete waste of food) An hour later and me not having my dinner, we call up to see where my food is and they decided they wasn't going to send a replacement out. Was anyone going to tell us?? Obviously not. Most occasions, like 3 out of 5 times we order from them they get it wrong despite numerous times repeating to them on the phone our special requirements yet this evening they have the audacity to say "you've made too many complaints" No. THEY have made too many mistakes, if they had made what we asked for, why would we need to complain? I have never known any takeaway to continously get orders wrong than this establishment. The final straw was the manager is "dealing with something" and would call us back this evening, and then somehow that changed to later in the week? They are all over the place and staff training is seriously needed. The customer service is absolutely disgusting, they do not care about their customers in the slightest and this buisness has now lost 2 very loyal customers that has spent a lot of money there, and that once reccomended them to people. Absolutely appalling, they should be ashamed of themselves. Avoid this buisness like the plague.

Wasn't happy about the £1 driver fee for delivery, as I live less than a mile away or the 50p service charge for card payment,the 50p charge is also on cash payments!! The food is very good though.

Waited two hours to be told my order was lost and wasn’t sure what happened after calling them numerous of times to ask where it was. Poorly handled and lack of communication could of been resolved a lot quicker if they were able to contact there “4 drivers”. No apology looked at my banking this morning and you have charged me twice for my meal so two transactions ! Nearly 50 quid! I expect a refund today !

Called up for a delivery, specifically ask if they deliver to our area. They say yes. Proceed to provide postcode, in the meantime, they then take another call. Afterwards, I can hear them speaking about our call then after a couple minutes, a different lady comes over the phone and says she’s been told to say they don’t deliver to Southampton (we aren’t in Southampton). Shambles.

Used top wok for first time tonight due to our usual chinese closed . Delivery on time, food excellant . won't be going back to our old takeaway .

The one in Bournemouth was better but it’s been closed down. They’re the best in a sea of bad situations of Chinese takeaways. I had my meal 4 hours ago and am still feeling very bloated and icky. The food wasn’t bad but am just sad that there’s no good Chinese’s around :’(

We have tried a few different Chinese takeaways since moving to Christchurch this year, but Top Wok is by far the best! Our go to now. Very lovely food, polite delivery drivers & on just eat too. Wide variety of food offered on the Menu & our absolute favourite is the Starter for 2. Great value for what's included in it! Very happy regulars, well done Top Wok!

Has been serving up good Chinese food for as long as I can remember. I've never been disappointed by the food or the service.

Good is delicious... best Chinese about for quality of food!!! But beware if there is an issue with your order they’ll treat you like a common criminal. Had a missing item so phoned up after I had the meal and they asked why I phoned up over an hour afterwards and said they cannot give any refund for the missing item. So I asked it I could get the item goodwill next time I’m in and they said no they can’t do that. Make sure you check your order as soon as you receive it and ask for a receipt printout. But honestly best Chinese around for food quality.

This top wok is by far the best one out the 3! There menu is far better there food is presented much better everything has more flavour! I made the mistake trying other top wok and most food went in the bin!.. This branch is definitly worth sticking with! There veggie options are Fantastic! There veggie chicken salt n pepper chilli is the best!!! Nice job guys! Xx

The food was lovely however i had to wait over an hour for delivery! I had also paid on card as i had little cash in the house, i then was told at the door that i owed money for delivery as they don't take this in to account when you order!

Just tried to order food again to be told an absolutely ridiculous delivery time. Politely said no thank you and suggested they may need another delivery driver. Such a shame as the food ain't bad, if you can last that long.

Food is good, but the service is awful. Every time I have asked for Singapore rice noodles without Pork, it still comes with Pork. Have stopped ordering that dish now. And tonight we waited 1hr 30mins for our delivery. Then the order was incorrect, the response was to offer a discount on the next order and for someone to come and collect the incorrect items and not replace them with the correct item?! Top wok are more interested in customers money more than customer satisfaction.

Haven't been here yet but I've seen in the local Bournemouth echo that this place has lost its food hygiene rating due to breaking food hygiene laws, this alone says to me that it should be avoided at all costs, especially with the added card fees and increased prices I'd advise to take your custom somewhere that you won't get salmonella poisoning or something worse.

really disappointing you have stung customers with double price increase, food increased November, now introduced a service charge, while food good, there are very good alternatives. Rethink required to avoid driving customers elsewhere. Even staff confused by charge

I’ve just been into top wok christchurch to get my takeaway and a 50p charge was added to the bill. I asked why and was told it was the governments fault as the card payments charge is no longer allowed, they say they now have to now makes a charge of 50p to all their customers. Rather than absorbing the merchant fees for card transactions, they have rebranded the 50p card charge as a 50p service charge and are making lots of extra profit from cash customers like myself. The government did not say you have to rip off all your customers they said you can no longer rip off card payment customers. Due to the fact they are telling customers the ‘government’ makes them charge a service charge instead of saying it’s just their own greed I will not be using them again.

Don’t live local so only use this place when I’m around. Never had a problem before until Friday when I ordered a chicken curry and spesifically asked for “no mushrooms” due to a food allergy. Apparently the chef managed to translate this to “extra mushrooms” and as a result I ended up spending most of the night feeling unwell. Manager offered to refund me the cost of the dish... Safe to say I won’t be using them again.

A real suprise, if assumed this chain would be naff but the take out was excellent. Very busy. Phone ahead and collect.

Love the fact you can get incredible quality vegetarian meat substitutes. Not sure if they are vegan but I would suggest it if not

So order to collect which was fine, went home and there was a part of my order missing. So rang them back up and ask if they could deliver the missing part and they said no. They went on the say that I could always get a bus, when I said about my lift there no available. The guy was really argumentive and he had a really bad attitude problem.
