Absolutely fantastic fish and chips! The food was delicious—crispy batter, perfectly cooked fish, and the chips were just right. The prices are great for the quality and portion sizes, making it an incredible value. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be back again very soon! Highly recommend!

Absolutely disgraceful. Waited over 2 hours for food to arrive arrived missing a burger. Phoned up to get it which was told will send all the food out again. Which then only sent the missing burger after another hour wait. Was told could have a refund. Have tried for 3 days to get my refund. And kept being fobbed off with there is no manager to do it. They can’t give me cash apparently. We use it all the time and the service we have received is completely disgraceful. Very disappointed Have been told to call again on Friday so a week after the issue.

We order week in week out fantastic food 5 stars all round, only downside in recent weeks is missing items on the order we collect so bit of a walk back to get a missing item on the order, other than this love the food and staff.

Ordered food online at 19.07pm, delivery stated an hour, which is fine. 8.29pm food still not here, so called them and was told it would be with me in 15 mins. Called again at 8.56pm as still no food. To be told it would be 2 minutes. Called again at 9.11pm as still no food. Delivery driver then arrives. I sent the food away due to the lack of service. Respect to the delivery for understanding my frustration. Very poor service from the shop. Honest goes a long way. If you had been honest with me when I called I would have respected that more than being told 15 mins or 2 mins when this was all a load of rubbish. Shame because the food is good but won’t be ordering again.

I ordered a mixed kebab from here, I asked for no onions & the salad to be in a sepeate box. I got home to realise there was hardly any chicken meat 4 pieces to be exact, the order was bulked out with onions, peppers & mostly donna meat. The salad was in the same box & they included onions. I have a slight allergy to onions which pretty much ruined this meal for me.

This is the best chicken kebab we've ever had, and we always travel from far just to get it. However, in recent months, we've noticed a decline in quality. Despite selecting the 'extra' option when ordering, there's consistently less sauce and salad included with the food. It's disappointing to see this change, and it's become quite noticeable.

Ordered at 9:22pm estimate arrival was 10:05-10:25. 10:35 come asked for an update as said food was delivered it wasn’t. Then 10:40 is the new arrival and it says it’s been delivered it still hadn’t. Restaurant closed at 10:30 so can’t call. 11:05 food been delivered and they’ve added loads of extra food. And apologised for the delay. If you see this then ignore the review on just eat we was just worried that it wasn’t turning up and it was getting late. Thank you! :)

The food is amazing and reasonably priced, a large choice of menu. . The staff work very hard and are polite and helpful. The food is freshly cooked to order so can sometimes take a while if you are wanting a delivery, but worth the wait just order a little earlier, theu get very busy. I had a little issue with a recent order which after contacting them, they went out of their way to rectify. Thank you.

I normally love getting my takeaway from here and I have been here many times and they never let me down. However, I ordered a chicken kebab with my pitta separate and didn't even receive the pitta with my order. I could only eat 20% of the chicken most of it was pink throughout so I didn't want to take the risk and the salad selection I choose was wrong too.. i honestly would like to be refunded for my meal and that's something I hate to ask.

Ordered 3 x kebabs at 1920 - told about one hour for delivery. Rang to chase at 2050 - told just leaving Walkford. Arrived 1 hr 50 after ordering - kebabs were luke warm. 2 x chicken kebabs had several big chunks of chicken - not prepared or delivered as expected. We won’t order again from them

Have ordered for years, past few orders have been over an hour wait which was unusual but just explained it was high volumes then last night I waited 2 hours, 4 phonecalls later it was cooked and sent out. Won't be going again. Shame as I prefer there food... but not at that long of a wait with really no reason why. Noone knew where the food was or what was happening..

Friendly staff and excellent food. Kebabs were cooked to perfection and the burgers are admittedly my favourite and they were what I craved during my pregnancy. Always busy on a weekend but it doesn't stop the staff from taking the time to greet you with a smile on their faces.

Food never arrived after 2 hours of waiting and chasing twice. Was told that they didn’t actually have any delivery drivers. Why did they accept the order if they couldn’t deliver. Awaiting refund. Avoid

Never had an issue with this place, been ordering from there for years. Ordered a few meals last night and because of silly little things, I probably won't be ordering again. I ordered and paid for a pot of curry sauce but didn't get one, I randomly got a pea fritter that I didn't order and I asked for cheesy chips with ketchup and BBQ sauce, but got mayonnaise and BBQ, which sounds silly to moan about, but given people are allergic to eggs etc, it was a silly mistake on their part. Shame as the rest of the food was nice but after waiting an hour for your meal, you expect it to be correct.

I placed a order at 6.40 Friday night, after numerous phone calls and being fobbed off several times. (Not the young lad who answered) my food arrived at 9.30pm items missing. I am still awaiting my refund.

Had to chase up my order, and was given a story about it being “stuck on the board” when they clearly just forgot about it. Nearly an hour and a half later and they say they’ve refunded it (reluctantly). We’ll see ! Order at your own risk.

So we all have misshapes, it happens ,I have ordered here many times before with mostly wonderful food ,maybe 1 or 2 mishaps at the most ,Today I ordered a standard burger ,garlic mushrooms, standard chips and a half pounder pineapple burger .The Food was prompt ,it was hot ,the chips and garlic mushrooms wonderful however the half pounder Pinaple burger had NO pineapple. Yes mistakes happen I call the takeaway up and explain ,they say we will send a pineapple out ?FOR A BURGER THATS A PINAPLE BURGER GOING COLD ?,Then emediately told I see the pineapple go in ,its on CCTV ?,THEN TO YOU ALWAYS DO THIS ?,I ask if the manger name , ,HE SAYS ILL send you out a new burger,i explaine no thank you I explained I needed the managers name so atleast I didn't emediately send out a bad review. I was not rude to you in any way ,mistakes happen but you have just lied all the way through ,i ask for the managers name ,then the guy,he says he is the manager and he is called ERIC ?,and just while I am writing this a kind gentleman arrived with a new burger ,I explained no thank you ,I have been told I am a liyer so will not be ordering in future and that I didn't want this sent out in the first place. Sorry for the rant but for god sake why just not be honest to start with and then get to the you always do this lol I didn't bother eating the burger as by the time of just getting a simple matter resolved it was cold anyway and not what I had ordered, chips and Garlic Mushrooms lovely and my sis loved her burger that arrived as ordered . Unfortunately, after today ,I won't bother ordering again as apparently I regularly lie ,such a shame as when family visited we also order but no more 😅🤣😂 Last of all didn't even ask for credit if anyone is thinking and not even offered

Always a great meal! When you walk in, you are instantly greeted. There is a huge selection of food, and you always receive service with a smile. Honestly, even if I had to wait 30 minutes for the food (which I didn't), it'd be worth it. It's all freshly prepared, and it is so tasty. They're a good price and a definite favourite of our family 😊

My family and I have never been disappointed with the food we have bought from here. My advice is that you book your delivery well in advance aa it always seems to take around 1.5 hours to be delivered. This is because they are good and normally very busy. Portion control is not stingy. We have never felt hungry after, that's for sure.

Brilliant scran . Been here during numerous nights out with mates and they are a true saviour . Lovely kebabs. never really had a problem with any of the food at all . £8/9 for a large donner but realistically it’s very good for what you get honestly it’s massive . Does 2 people no problem

Reliable, however, last Walkford Special Chicken sandwich I had was completely devoid of any salad..... Always recommend here though as this was an exception.

Worst takeaway around (& there's a few!), told delivery would be 45 mins, understand busy times may be longer but nearly 2 hours later! Food was cold, salad was warm though!! Now I remember why I don't order from here...

We have used this takeaway for years, since it changed ownership it has gone downhill, the last time we ordered, the food turned up luke warm we were hungry just reheated it, not great when you have to separate salad out etc and eat it, didn’t use them again for a while but then thought we would give them another chance, the food was yet again luke warm so we called them, no sorry was given they just denied it could be cold, insinuating we were lying!, the boss kept saying “listen darling” to my wife and calling her “love” after she asked him NOT TO!. Very demeaning and insulting to women, no fresh food was offered, no partial refund or full refund was offered, in the end he said I’m busy and slammed the phone down……. Amazing customer service, so if you like cold food being insulted and belittled this is the place to go, we will never return!. 🤬👍

Nice chips maybe 2 more minutes in the fryer would have made them perfect. Fish lovely and white and flakey. Waiting time was OK as lots of Just Eat orders being done. Order via the app to save waiting. Great chip shop.

Unbelievable service ordered dinner at 6:30pm tonight, still two hours later, nothing delivered. Cancelled order, never again took 1hr 30mins last order to be delivered last week. Good luck in your future.

We have been using this place since it first opened and never had a problem. Just received our order to find out no chips. So we call them up and the guy said it will be half an hour . By that time the rest of the order will be cold . Very disappointed and very bad customer service. Shocked to say the least. He did off a credit for just the chips for next time but sausage on its own isn't a meal that we paid for .

I found the place disappointing, after ordering and paying, I was told there was a 15 minute wait, when we got to eat the fish and chips the chips were a mix of some good and some not good, the fish was oily and a bit overcooked. Will not go back

Ordered large cod and chips haddock and chips and pepperoni pizza 9inch the cod was absolutely disgusting and the haddock was like paste it was horrible pizza was okay absolutely disgusting behaviour from one of the staff members serving had to wait 20 minutes but only told me once I had paid my mate ordered large battered sasauge and plain sasauge and they was like eating oil and batter was over cooked chips where okay absolutely disgusting won't be going there again

Food was great, quick service. Only disappointed as on the online menu I chose chips with mozzarella cheese, and received chips with cheddar on top, happened several times now.

The staff are so lovely . They go out of their way to help I have restricted mobility and they will bring my order to me. The Arowana chicken kebab and their chips are to die for . I can't recommend them enough .

Nice food, nice staff, decent service

Was running late and fancied fish and chips. Made the mistake of coming here as it is only about 400 yards from home. The meal arrived after a long wait. It consisted of a lump of grey something which purported to be fish, a pile of cold potato pieces containing a few chips and a pot of cold mushy peas. I could not eat any of it but at least the seagulls had a good meal! Never, ever will I make the same mistake. If I could give no stars I would as it it not worth one.

First visit. Nice sized tasty cod and generous portion of chips. Will use this place again.

We have had several delivered fish and chips meals from Arowana. In the last year, it's not gourmet but it's been good every time. Quality is good, value is very good considering delivery included and the delivery has been ok considering we normally order at the same time as everyone else.

Ordered direct from their own website as cheaper than Just Eat. Have ordered pizza, kebab, pie and chips and all were really good. Food arrives hot and quick delivery.

I don't know what's happening but the food has really gone downhill in the last year or so. The kebabs used to be amazing. Just received my order tonight and chips, kebab cold, asked for cheese but not melted as previously was. I I wanted to reheat my meal and melt cheese I would have cooked at home. Very disappointed and not the first time.

Have always heard good reviews about Arowana’s and finally tonight explored their website. Obviously given the current Covid restrictions we ordered online. My husband had a burger and onion rings, and I decided to get the kebab. Well I am very impressed. It is absolutely delicious and so worth the money!

Food good as always but the last few month the long deliverer time has been shocking, med week order and taking 2 hours for delivery not the first time this has happened.

We have had lots of take aways from this place but not any more, the fish and chips was almost inedible, the fish was small though medium was ordered, the batter so soggy it stuck to the paper and the chips were cold, soggy and creasy like a pile of pale worms, ugh. I hope things improve because it used to be the best in the area. I won't be using it again.

5% off for new customer online Ordered mix kebabs, Doner kebab and chip. Mixed kebab's chicken is too dry and over cooked. Food are really salty. Part from that, everything are good, large portions. Food were still hot, driver is very friendly. No plastic bag, they used recycle materials.

Ordered a few times and explained my allergy and it's never an issue or too much trouble. staff go above and beyond to ensure everyone dealing with my order is also aware. Highly recommend and cant fault the service all staff are understanding and so professional will definitely continue to use the company.

This has got to be my favourite place. The chips are the best I've ever had! They are perfect everytime. Kebabs and sausages, fish and pizza everything from this place is fresh and cooked beautifully. *TIP* Order early as delivery takes a while but so worth the wait.

We had two cod and chips on Friday 26th the batter on the cod was burnt on the outside and raw inside the fish itself was very dry and the chips were soggy and very greasy could not eat all of it very disappointing and not likely to use them again
