Soup wasn’t as tasty as normal lacked the usual substance

Have ordered from them for about 5yrs now never disappoint but last nights order the chow mein wasn’t the best, felt like rubber noodles. But other wise it’s always been amazing

Arrived well before time started which was good cause it said 1 ½ hours. It arrived in 45. Good from top wok is always perfect. Never any complaints. Just watch the prices. Same as any other they are slowly creeping up. We pay double now what we did before Covid got a family treat

We had friends round for a take away and ordered over the phone with Top Wok as I have a gluten intolerance, they use different noodles in the chow mien. We arranged for delivery a couple of hours later, always a bit of a gamble. But our delivery arrived when we expected it and was delicious and hot. Everything we ordered was in the box and we all thoroughly enjoyed every dish.

This is the first negative food review I’ve left, but this was honestly the worst takeaway we’ve ever had. Waited for an hour and 25 minutes for delivery, which was as stated, but obviously you get extra hungry and look forward to your food in that time. We spent £38 for effectively 2 Chinese containers of food and a portion of prawn toast. The steamed buns were over £6 for 6 literally 1 centimetre buns. They were TINY and inedible. The chicken in the curry and pad Thai can only be described as slimy and gristly. We literally put the whole takeaway in the bin - £38 totally wasted and 2 very hungry people! I phoned to complain and was offered a £14 refund, which at this point hasn’t arrived.

Usually really good, but the crispy chicken was really soggy, not crisp at all. Sad!!

Food was lovely and hot and very tasty

We like top wok as a family but recently had quite a few issues with them. Including todays in which the Chicken curry was horrible. There was more oil than curry sauce and we had to put mostly all of it in the bin as it was quite disgusting. Photo attached. I think as a family which have used top wok for 20 + years we might have to go elsewhere. Very disappointed.

The food is good but 2 hours from ordering to receiving food really isn’t acceptable. The estimated time for the food was bad enough, let alone the additional time that was added on.

You pay £3 for delivery and order an hour and a half before they begin their delivery and the restaurant is about £1 more expensive compared to many others and they are unable to update the app or deliver when they say they are going to.

Hot food, tasty and ready within 2 mins or arriving.

Wasn't a fan of the food. Duck greasy & not a good standard for £24. Edible but not what you'd call enjoyable. There are many other Chinese takeaways in the area that are better quality, just thought we'd give top wok a go. Spicy noodles again okish but not the nicest. Disappointed overall so we will go back to ordering from somewhere better suited for us.

The best Chinese food delivery I’ve ever had! Food was hot, delicious and portions were generous. Ordered for asap and got my delivery even earlier than expected. Really impressed and the extra surprise in my delivery was a lovely touch. Thank you so much! 5*

Admin error meant that food delivery was attempted to my payment address and not the delivery address on the order - hence being late. Thankfully the driver was switched on and contacted us on our mobile.

I only use Top Wok they are my go too. Sign off the times though sadly when i got my meal last night. Twice the price and half the size with no free prawn crackers anymore. Suppose we have to expect that everywhere these days. But what you do get is amazing food. I would never go anywhere else. Probably not so often anymore though with the prices.

Lovely tasty food, the menu is well balanced and explained. The Web site is easy to order from. Form ordering the food to receiving it the staff were very friendly and helpful. They all seem to have a good knowledge of ingredients in each food option.

Food was delicious and came on time or maybe early? My only frustration was the cost - much higher than other Chinese takeaways and smaller portions than other Chinese takeaways. The chicken balls were very small, the chow mein was half the size and thinner noodles, the chips were a smaller portion, not as many spring rolls and smaller in size. But very tasty and better quality than others. Nowhere in Southbourne seems to do proper egg fried rice either, like you get in the rest of the UK?! It’s never normally so white, usually has a brown colour to it. Not sure why it’s done differently here but it’s just not the same. Overall enjoyed my meal but not spending those prices again…

The food was nice but the price was terrible, I get the same food in Liverpool for £14 so I would never order again, I was shocked that it cost £22 and I didn’t even get any prawn crackers with the meal

Food was absolutely delicious, that's what I call a great Chinese. Good portion sizes, really hot food, barbeque ribs fell off the bone, really enjoyed it. Will definitely use these guys from now on.
