Top Wok in Conwy

Top wok is always good. I try to vary my choices across the menu and have never been disappointed , the Cantonese king prawn was excellent. Would always recommend top wok. Never go anywhere else

To be honest, our usual takeaway was closed, so we tried Top Wok in Abergele. We had telephoned our order through and decided to collect as delivery was going to take longer. We were not disappointed, the food was excellent and piping hot. Will use it again and recommend it to all.

Went there last night because out usual takeaway was closed. The person who took my order was pleasant and obliging and the wait wasn’t very long. As I was waiting, on looking around, it looked very run down with numerous notices written on empty white paper bags stuck randomly on the wall. Something that could so easily be improved upon. Food was mixed. My fried chicken in chilli sauce with fried rice was pleasant but a little bland. Rather a lot of onion and green pepper but plenty of chicken. On the other hand, my wife’s special chow mein, made with thin noodles upon my request was a major disappointment. Far too many noodles with very little meat / protein. The balance was totally skewed towards the cheapest ingredient and most of it went in the bin. Nothing that can’t easily be rectified but I won’t be revisiting.

We have always been very impressed with the food from here, had the appetisers which were OK, not impressed with the chicken. I had a dish which in the past has been awesome, but disappointed today, maybe new chef I don't know, but our treat turned out flat as I left a lot of food. Hope that they start producing food like they used to.

well, one reviewer said dont order vermicelli with chicken, i did, and enjoyed it! this isnt a posh restaurant, its a take away, and they do their job perfectly fine ! i look forward to ordering again!

Had an excellent Chinese meal, delivered. Starts with appetisers which were excellent and the prawn toasts were out of this world. Had a chefs special and a yeung cha rice with prawn crackers, could not fault the meal and delivered very quickly. Lovely flavours etc etc

After having many deliveries, tonight I rang for delivery 6.45 pm was told about 1 hr for delivery which I accepted as they were busy. 8.30pm still no sign so I rang and asked, was told bad weather made delivery time long (I live less than a mile away) told I had to wait another 15-20 minutes! When I said we would have to cancel I was shouted at “ never to order again “ ! Unbelievable 😟

Worst Chinese ever. Noodles extremely greasy, asked for egg fried rice but ended up with just fried rice, chips where like oven baked ones, duck rolls where like mush, curry wasn’t nice. Couldn’t stomach much of it and feel sick now.

Terrible food, probably the worst Chinese I have ever had. Don’t order chicken curry or the vermicelli with chicken, tatty shop and tatty food.

Had an order of £26 pounds it was awful. Prawn roast tasted like off fish couldn’t even eat it. Duck and plum sauce there was barely any duck just covered in fat didn’t even taste like plum sauce with what’s seems like a whole tin of pineapple in it I can only assume was to mask the lack of meat, gave the delivery drive £30 she went to get the change and put 70p in my hand and basically ran away basically all the food was awful and got ripped off, avoid like the plague!

We have ordered a few times from Top Wok, and had various meals, mainly off the Chefs selection. Wonderful dragon, fairy bowl etc. Starters such as mixed appetisers combination, last night we had spare ribs in Cantonese sauce. We usually like young chow fried rice as well. No complaints, food delivered piping hot. Very busy at times, so we tend to pre order. So far we have had no complaints and look forward to next time

I normally frequent the Great Wall takeaway Chinese outlet in Abergele to order any Chinese food for home consumption, but they are closed on Tuesdays. So this evening I visited the Top Wok on Rhuddlan Rd Abergele. I ordered some Fried Chicken Wings with Salt & Pepper described as hot 🌶. This starter was totally bland, there were 3 small slices of a red pepper & a few small slices of green peppers with the chicken & loads of onions, (at the Great Wall this dish really has a Zing to it as they include plenty of red peppers). The Chicken tasted “old” not at all appetising. The main course was a Hong Kong Special again described as hot 🌶 but again it was anything but hot, very bland. I will not be returning to this establishment.

This was my first visit and will be my last. Sign in the shop stated that chips were cooked fresh but when I got home they were made from frozen chips. I am sure this is against the law ( false advertising). I have contacted the EHO who are going to look into this, won’t be going back. I had to give it 1 star on rating because you can’t give 0.

You can’t take money and keep your customers if you don’t answer your phone. It’s not like Bank Holidays come as a surprise.

Staying at a nearby caravan park for a few days. They delivered direct our caravan. This was Best Chinese Food we ever had. Going back again tomorrow. Very reasonable price too.

We had a take away delivered from here, and got to say it was excellent. We ordered the meal for 2 and there was probably enough for 4, it was all very tasty and nice and hot. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Not very good when you go to a Chinese for a takeaway wait 20 mins just for an order of chips... while waiting for the chips another customer came in and told me your better off phoning your order through. FOR A PORTION OF CHIPS

Found this place on our way back to our caravan and we got a selection of meals for 8 people and everyone loved and the portions were huge. If up there again will definitely be paying it a visit

We hired a cottage about 4 miles from this great little takeaway at it was late, we had a long friday evening bank holiday drive and we just wanted to get some hot food and chill.

Had many meals from Top Wok and always get great food. They have a large and varied menu with all the favourites you would expect to find plus some different and extremely tasty chef's specials. With delivery to your door for £1 you don't have to venture out in the rain to get great food.

Food was lush, service was lush, just make sure you have cash to pay as they don't take card. Cooked fresh and very prompt

use this take away regularly, always good, staff are friendly, cant really fault it. they deliver too

Arrived to find the delivery drivers having a bit of a barny about wrong deliveries, which was a bit worrying. But the food ordered was good. Tasty and hot. All choices were good. Give it a go!

Used the take away delivery service for the first time on New Years Eve. The food was excellent, hot and tasty and good sized portions. Delivery was quick and at the price was very good value. Will use again and thoroughly recommend.

Order from here all the time,always something new and it's always absolutely lovely never disappointed! Highly recommend

Not nice at all order woz wrong and very rude on the phone at top wok will not be useing them again that's for sure if it did not all go in the bin b4 I come on here I would of Taken a photo off how much want in the bin lets just put it this way I would say 99% of it want in the bin.........

Ordered starters and 4 meals, everything was tasteless apart from the chicken fried rice but that was only because we poured curry sauce over it, the curry sauce tasted powdery (should have added more water from the kettle maybe) the chicken was rubbery. Threw most of the food in the bin, will not be going there again, it's quite expensive too which I don't usually mind if it's worth it but this was very poor, the place is also in need of a serious makeover as well because it's really scruffy and dated.

Excellent take away meets gluten free needs. Very helpful staff and wide range of meals. Good range of children meals. Very competitively priced

Tasteless rubbery chicken on a bed of NON crispy noodles that was supposed to be crispy. Tasted of nothing so had to add my own sauce, 50 min wait time and £19.10 for two meals...first and last time I will be using TOP WOK.....load of crap!

I order from here every time we have a delivery! They are always on time, food is always boiling hot and so nice, especially the chips! They're lovely on the phone too.

Waited nearly 2 hours for my order and no apology. Very expensive £16 for 2 meals and the food was tasteless. Will not be using Top Wok again.

We use Top Wok a fair bit, as well as most of my friends who live local. Tried quite a few different things of the menu and everything has always been delicious. Delivery service is always quicker than the time quoted and has never been wrong!

My family of 5 had ordered a takeaway on a busy Saturday night but the food was ready quite quickly and we collected soon after ordering. I ordered chicken fried rice and chips and found that the rice was really nice and had proper chicken in it, which was a surprise as in other takeaway's, the chicken seems to be rubbery and tasteless. The chips were a little bit dry but were nice and crispy but it was a very small portion. Also, after eating the food I found that I was very thirsty for the rest of the night, probably because of how salty it was. However, I think most Chinese food like this is always going to be salty so it didn't ruin my meal. Overall, for the price, the quick service and the taste of the food, I would like to try another meal from this takeaway.

There are a lot of negative reviews on here but I have to say my take away was excellentI had beef with green peppers in a black bean sauce and it was deliciousThe beef was beautiful and tender and melted in your mouth. The sauce was lovely and rich and I'll certainly be going backFar surpasses another Chinese take away round the corner where I've had awful food from

Delivery driver is a credit to them. Found our holiday cottage despite the vague address given to him. Quick delivery and food tasted good.

Rude staff on the telephone and they got our order wrong. Won't be using them again. The food is average and it took over an hour to be delivered.

we have been to the top wok away and we found that both our meals tasted nothing like the food that we have tasted from other take aways.... we threw most of our food in the bin, definitely not what I was expecting.....very very poor.
