Top Wok in Conwy

Top Wok has become our go-to Chinese takeaway. After living in the area for over 9 years, they are one of only two Chinese takeaways that make in my opinion true chow-mein (thick noodles with some sort of sauce). Obviously this is personal preference but being brought up on chow-mein being done this way means it's on my list of things that make a top Chinese. Also chicken balls are most of the time cooked very well and tasty. Their fried rice is amazing too and Foo Yung is always spot on. I will note that the chips aren't the best, they are usually overdone / dry, but this still doesn't put us off.

I never rate take aways but since we've been coming here I've taken the time to do so. Amazing food, good prices, accept card payments and do delivery.I'm a fussy eater and they always get the order right.👌 I highly recommend the chicken curry and the hot and sour soup 🤤

Delivery or collection, food always tasty. I'd recommend it.

I stopped using Top Wok due to delivery issues. Our regular Chinese was closed so thought we would give them another try. Food was lovely, delivered hot and within the time they said. Definitely use again.

Ordered food from here while on a weekend break in Llandudno. The food was delivered to our hotel within 45minutes. It was lovely and warm and everything was cooked to perfection. The beef chow mein was delicious as was the chicken and mushroom. Chicken balls in batter were tender and juicy with a perfect tempura batter. Many thanks for a first rate feast. Alun 👏👏👏

This is fast becoming our favourite delivery take-away in the area. Yesterday evening my nephew and I experienced yet another lovely meal from there. My nephew had kung po pork which is his new favourite Chinese meal and I decided to try their pork in black bean sauce for the first time, they were both absolutely delicious and it is one of the most consistently good places we have found. A minor issue would be the chips, at least yesterday, as they were so dry. That is the only reason I couldn’t give 5 stars.

Zero issues from top wok, although I've lived 5 minutes away for years I only discovered it 6 months ago, combo box is always spot on, mixed ribs excellent. Good value and good service 👍

Picked up as we were out of delivery area. Food was ready on time. Everything was as ordered. It’s not our favourite Chinese. I only realised when I got there they had a 3 food rating (at the time of this review) I think that will stop us from coming back. I feel with a Chinese it’s quite personal taste I know some people say it’s not to their liking. They take card which is good, next time I wouldn’t order via just eat as it is more expensive instead I would just order and pay on card when I get there. Prices compare with all other Chineses in the area. Staff friendly.

Very disappointing, here on holiday so we thought we would try the local Chinese . Salt and pepper ribs tasted like they were left overs from the night before , same with the crispy chicken very dry . Salt and pepper chips soggy , only thing that was ok were the prawn crackers

The salt and pepper chips are so mid, don’t buy unless u like left over heated up chippys

Have ordered from here many times in the past,have mostly enjoyed the food,wouldn't normally write a review but of late the food itself has gone downhill and the prices have skyrocketed,when you're reduced to paying £3.80 for a small portion of chips plus £3 delivery and that can't be done right it's time to give up,myself ordering and the chef! Unfortunately won't ever bother again as shocking prices for very little and poor quality food

Crispy beef was very poor with few extras in the sauce. Singapore vermacilli noodles was comparable to a curried pot noodle at best. Chicken wings very dry and overcooked From the whole dish I enjoyed prawn crackers , they didn't get them wrong!

Great food, delivery took an age but we were told it would be. Worth the wait. 😋😋

Got overcharged £10 on my order plus was told up to 1 hour wait. Waited 1 hour 30 minutes called back to be told another 25-30 minutes.. I said no thanks I'll have my money back then was told that can't be done because my foods already cooked and left the shop.. then she back tracked and said its cooked and not left the shop.. not eating from there today and never will again she openly told me that there cooking peoples foods and leaving it stand for god knows how long before it even leaves the shop! Disgusting should be closed down

Had a delivery last night. Waited well over an hour before it came. Chicken and beef that tough and chewy we couldn’t eat it Won’t be ordering from them again

We had a takeaway yesterday from this restaurant The egg fried rice was stodgy with no egg and very tasteless The duck in orange sauce and the duck in plum sauce was disgusting....the sauce was a powdery sweet and sickly mess and had chunks of pineapple in both dishes Then the prawn crackers were an oily taste which gave us both heartburn which I am sure all of the food contributed Stupidly we ate it some of it but should have taken it all back I telephoned the restaurant to advise them what we experienced The lady who answered told me she would get the owner to call me.........of which did not happen.....How rude and not customer friendly at all I must advise this restaurant is awful and I shall never ever go back and we rate it 0 out of 10

First time we went last night and will never go again. Food was awful and cold and they need to learn how to cook chips and not cook frozen ones.

Don't understand the poor reviews, for me it's the best Chinese in the area and I have tried many. Never had a bad meal. Can't comment on delivery as I always collect, but the food is excellent and good value.

Showed up on time. BUT. I found a hair in the prawn crackers!! food was just bland and not nice to eat at all. The best thing that we ordered was the boiled rice.. Chips were sickly same with the curry. Would not recommend.

Possibly worst chinese ive ever had. Grease floating.. tough chicken as for the chips. Dried out hard over cooked. Went in bin . Delivered hr and 20 mins late.. mainly sauce not much else in it. Bad bad bad

***AVOID*** Ordered 6.30 still waiting- now 21.28! given these ppl loads of chances always getting order wrong- phoned Lady said " I don't have anything to do with deliveries! 5 minute drive driver on its way! Just delivered now 21.31, driver said only notified 15 min ago very bad service and will not be ordering from there again.

Went here based on reviews. Service was quick efficient friendly shame about the food . Only part of order that was worthy of mention were the banana fritters really tasty. Rest of it was really poor we all scored it 4/10 Would I order from here again .... Never .

Good food, long opening hrs. Stayed open to serve the local community through the Covid lockdown, so now gets all my trade.

Ordered from just eat and it arrived at the time stated, which is a good while after ordering. The prawn chow mein was nice however it tasted a bit bland and the sauce was a bit runny. Otherwise, I would recommend this place.

Ordered online at 7.45pm with a 45 minute expected wait, 2hrs later it arrives , phone twice , not very good customer service. food was luke warm when it arrived and not very nice. Won't be using again sorry.

“Special” curry it was. Prawns tasted dirty, almost like soil. About 3 pieces of beef and 2 small chickens at most. The meal was mostly greasy curry paired with so many onions that one could cry. So many mushrooms used as substitute for meat. I do not recommend.

£6.30 for curry WITHOUT rice. The curry was runny and they bulked it out with veg. No taste to it at all. Chips rubbery. The noodle box was basically 99% noodles despite it being sold as having meat in it. Please shop elsewhere. Awful. Worst Chinese takeaway ever.

Don't bother we found on uber eats while staying in a holiday let very disappointing bland noodles hard chips and poor quality 'meat'

New to the area and this is a cracking Chinese, no chance to visit many restaurants for obvious reasons at the moment so reviewing the takeaways and this place is top class

On two occasions had my order cancelled due to no delivery capacity. They obviously can't be bothered to deliver more an a mile away. Please don't offer delivery if you can't or won't do it. Very disappointed. Won't be ordering from here again even for a pick up order.

Regularly get takeaway from Top Wok, it’s the best in this area. Food is of top quality, portions are always decent and friendly customer service. Would recommend house special fried rice and beef in black bean sauce. Definitely give it a try

Our order was 40 minutes later than estimated. However the staff were very helpful and polite when we phoned and the food was excellent.

I would give no stars but not possible. Customer service zero. Food 2 maybe 3 stars. Didn't bother to take into account that we asked to be phoned on arrival. That caused us some issues. Beside that, no cutlery. Food was basic at most.

This is our regular Chinese the food portions are good, the food is priced well and the customer service is excellent with the owner always smiling. I recommend the vegetable curry for vegetarians and for meat eaters most dishes are good.

Absolutely fantastic. I had a special satay and can honestly say it was one of the best I've ever had. I hadn't been before, but will definitely be back. Phoned the order through on a busy Saturday evening during lockdown and it was ready in half an hour to pick up. Excellent service, excellent food, reasonably priced £21 for 3 meals. Highly recommended.

Have used this Chinese for the last 3 years, tonight will be the last night, girl who takes orders has got our order wrong the last few times ( can’t tell difference between chips and rice) tonight she wrote the wrong number down! phoned to query our delivery response was we are too busy to replace can give you 20% off next time, Partner decided to drive down to collect correct meal no offer of replacement chips or rice! Disgusting customer service and extremely rude! Food was cold!

We thoroughly enjoyed our locked down Chinese meal delivered at the promised time and will definitely order again in the near future. Lisa devoured her King Prawn Fried Rice and me, likewise my Sweet and Sour Chicken Cantonese Style.

This is by far the best Chinese takeaway I have had. The food was delicious, tasteful and hot. Despite the current corona pandemic it’s great to see that the quality of food isn’t hindered by, I assume , a very busy and demanding restaurant. Well done, you have now won a new customer.

Me and my partner got a takeaway from here for the first time this evening , we ordered chilli shredded chicken , noodle hot box and salt and pepper chips , it was delicious we both enjoyed every mouthful,will 100% be returning

We’ve eaten from here a few times now. It is the best Chinese in Rhos on sea. They are friendly and helpful. The Food isn’t out of this world. It’s not the same quality as you’d expect from a sit-in restaurant, but for a fast food takeout it’s absolutely fine. Portions are decent and it’s quite tasty.

Ordered a telephone collection and was very disappointed with the meal. Dry, sweet and sour sauce tasted like it was made of melted frozen lollipops. I tried them, unlike to reorder.

Ordered food for our Friday night take away through Just Eat. Came in about 50 minutes with a pleasant delivery guy. Opened the order and couldn’t believe how small the portion sizes were!! Salt and pepper chicken was dry and shrivelled and hardly any in the tub. The chips were soggy and like chewing cardboard and hardly any there either. The noodles were tasty as was the curry sauce but all in all very disappointed with the Luke warm food delivered and the baby portion sizes. For the price there should definitely be more!!! Have had from here in the past and has been much better. Won’t be ordering again.

Wow, what an amazing chinese. Ive ordered from here at least 10 times now amd had a variety of dishes, none of them have been disappointing, full of flavour, good portion and steaming hot. I don't give 5stars lightly. Will definitely be ordering again.

This is,nt my nearest Chinese Takeaway. But its the Most Reliable ,with decent Sized Portions If I order something ,its always very nice!

Chicken balls were very dry. Noodles really watery (tastless) Prawn crackers were off coloured as if thwyve been sat on the shelf for months. Beef looked grey! And again tastless. Never going back here. EVER!

Local Chinese, cheap cheerful the lady who takes the order is knowledgable and friendly, highly recommend the duck rolls.

This establishment thinks they can cook a dish the way they like and to throw it out that you order and that you are not use to the way you have had else where and do it to there way. I have had tonight a special fried rice done with noddles and rice on the bottom of everything plus tasted boiled not fried . Not good as this meal was classed as a fried rice dish and not as a rice and noodle dish , this takeaway has there own way of cooking .

Overpriced, sloppy, full of onions and greasy. Needless to say won't be going back.

We popped in for a take away this evening, at first it was fine, after the young lady eventually stopped texting on her phone and asking for her own food.

Food is nice and staff are helpful. Reasonably priced too. You don't have to wait too long either.

Sorry Guys but I don't think Your Chef Tastes or Tries the food they send out. Udon Noodles are not meant to be mush in your mouth! one taste and threw the whole lot in the bin! I have never ever done that before! sooo disappointed, This used to be a lovely take away place I have used for many years. such a shame :-(

Came here after receiving a menu threw the post ordered 2 noodle boxes and some ribs and I've got to say it was delicious! Couldn't eat it all as we got so much! Fast service aswel! Will definitely return

Top wok !! Top mess up!! Was told 1 hr delivery !!! 2 hrs later got my food whey!!! :( no special fried rice had to wait again for them to bring the rice!!! Tbf food i couldn't fault 5* but they need to sort the delivery times out, be honest, dont say 1 hr when its 2 hrs!!!
