Golden Bowl in Conwy

One of my favourite places, food is excellent and you get so much for the price 👍

Ordered a Salt and pepper box today, for 18.90 I think it’s the best value for money you’ll get from a Chinese in the surrounding area. The box itself is filled with chips, chicken wings, balls, shredded and pieces along with some ribs, all dowsed with a strong and flavourful salt and pepper seasoning. Normally a set meal would fill us up with none to spare, but you could feed 3-4 people with this marvelous box. This is a MUST for flavour and spice lovers

Food was delivered hot,great quality produce,good sized portions thank you for an enjoyable meal and excellent delivery times.

Just had a delivery to our caravan pitch on Plas Farm. Order was delivered in the stated time the driver was pleasant and friendly. The food was amazing Fish n chips and a Chinese dish the portions were very generous the food was hot and very tasty no complaints at all. Highly recommend

Was really worried after reading reviews for this take a way however camp site owners told us the food is lovely so we gave them the benefit of the doubt. So glad we did. Food was delivered in the nominated time by a very pleasant driver. we ordered the set meal for two. Prawn toast and spring rolls were very tasty but more unexpected was the size of the ribs ! so meaty they were a meal on their own! the meat just fell off the bones absolutely gorgeous. Main courses and rice was very tasty and far too much for us to manage so I guess we have lunch for tomorrow ! Don't be put off by the negative reviews, this food was delicious

Disgusting. Everything tasted of fish and when I called up to complain I was made to sound crazy by the lady on the phone because “they don’t cook cod”. Apparently I “must have eaten something fishy before it”. Awful customer service. Total waste of money and left with no replacement meal or refund. Do not recommend

The chicken chow main was delicious couldn’t fault that one bit. Quick delivery We ordered large spring rolls and all that was in it was bean sprouts it was well not nice at all wasted 4 large spring rolls straight in bin that was only disappointing thing

Very disappointing takeaway. Greasy food and lacked taste. Really out off by the scruffy looking delivery driver. His fingernails were filthy. I presume he didn’t touch the food but it was very off-putting and gives a bad impression. I wouldn’t recommend.

I'm not one for reviews but this guys need one and I'm so sorry a tip too I'm not well at the moment but tonight I orderd a delivery asked for my duck to be crispy I cauld of eat the bones the wife was attending to me asked the delivery driver cauld he just open the door and place inside not a problem the food was plentiful and quality was right up there delivery was in just the right amount of time get plates warm settle down ready for food so yes I highly recommend golden bowl ******

Salt &pepper ribs were dry and like chicken nuggets all grizzle and salt & pepper chips, well salt & pepper didn't exist.wont be going there again

Give it one star because delivery fast fast an lady who delivered was polite... as for the food portion size is small the salt an Peper prawns are small an u only get 6 the salt an pepper chips had little seasoning

Always a good Chinese tried China garden but the chips was trash.

We have now used the Golden Bowl on line delivery service for about 2 years since purchasing a static caravan in Llandullas and this has to be our favourite place for Chinese food to date. We tend to book on line and have delivery, and have to say that we have never been disappointed and the whole order service has been excellent. We have never been let down and not had to wait more than half an hour even at busy time The food too is of a high quality and the service from the driver very friendly. We would recommend without hesitation. Enjoy

Lovely food, excellent quality. The only downside was a long wait, but it was worth it.

Food was good enough but the delivery driver would not deliver because we live in a pub ...'just in case, the police saw him coming out of the pub and thought he was drunk driving' well if you weren't, what's the problem? Had to go out across the road to meet him!! If the case is drivers will not enter a licensed premises, then that should of been made clear when the order was placed.

This place used to be quite good, the food is decent but nothing to rave about however the prices now are insanely overpriced, remember your in llsyfean not London guys. Even a pot of sauce is 3.50...20 quid for half a fatty duck..even a sweet and sour is a tenner don't know who did your prices but they need sorting. Won't be back till they sort them.

I stopped going to this place because of the 2☆☆ now they have a 5☆☆☆☆☆ I started going again. Definitely would recommend golden bowl 🥣 now. Food was hot and tast. Salt and pepper chicken pieces was the best 👌sadly going to have to stop going now. The prices have gone up far to much. Gutted

Take no notice of that ridiculous photograph! Ordered from here last night whilst staying at The Nook holiday let. Delicious, hot food, professionally cooked. Best chinese menu I have ever seen for a takeaway. Wish there where more options like this at hone in Liverpool. I could sample a dish off this menu every day and not get bored! Try it!!! Hubby had chicken crispy noodles with sauce I had Thai red beef curry Truly scrumtious

Absolutely beautiful food tasted amazing lots of it a priced just right will recommend to friends and family. My daughter is a fussy eater and she ate the lots will be ordering again soon x

We lived in Llysfaen for many years and always enjoyed the food from Golden Bowl, so much so that despite the fact we have moved away now we haven't found another takeaway that is a patch on the Golden Bowl and still travel back there just because their food is the best. The family are lovely and friendly, and the food is delicious.

Ordered a takeaway tonight delivered in just over 15 minutes that can't be right unless some of ingredients are pre cooked I don't mind waiting an hour if the food is cooked from scratch .It was tasteless and watery won't be using them again gave them a chance sorry

I've always received amazing service from golden bowl, by far the best for choice. I love the shredding chicken! And struggle to find take aways that do the food aswell as golden bowl does! Amazing food, service and the delivery driver is lovely!

awful. no flavour. tasteless. salt and pepper chips my 9 year old son could have done a better job.the vermicell was dry. the only thing edible was the salt and pepper ribs if you can call them that.

Good food delivered I have cravings for the pork balls in batter they are so divine and meaty delicious generous portion with sweet and sour sauce and fried rice. The menu is good I've tried a few things the food is always great.

Had a leaflet through the door so decided to try. Took nearly an hour to arrive and the food was terrible. Had absolute no taste and everything was greasy. Chips and prawn crackers taste of old oil. Won’t be ordering again

We recently ordered a takeaway from here, the positive is that i couldn’t fault the food taste wise. The negative is it took 1 hour 55 minutes to arrive, we were told it would take 1 hour which you expect on a busy night, but nearly 2 hours is a joke. I called up after 1 hour 15, they told me the delivery driver was just setting off (its about a 10 minute drive) that old chestnut. When i called up to complain a second time, they did apologise and say they are busy but that was all i was told.

Once again the food was lovely,well presented on time,and piping hot,thoroughly recommend,will be going back.

Do not order a delivery. It is now 7.45pm we ordered it to be delivered at 7.00pm and we are still waiting.

I have been getting food from here for years don’t think I have ever had a problem with the food or the service they sometimes get very busy, so you have to wait a bit for food to be delivered but when you ring they give you an approximate time witch I don`t mind because it is worth it.K

Having Tried all the chinese Takeaways in this area, I would not recommend..The food was ok/average but feel short changed. The two meat Specials I ordered were 60% vegetables,20% Cheap Pork,10% Chicken,5% Beef .5% Prawn,..also it cost more than what other takeaways charge...Having read reviews maybe this takeaway caters for the touirist who will eat anything..Not Impressed

Used this place for years, now on the third owners, Last time these lot are letting me down....they simply can not cope with the tourists influx, these people forget who keeps them going in the winter, when every one has gone home....phoned 19:30 OK phoned back over an hour later told me another 20 to 30 mins..cancelled...if they would have warned me could have gone else where fuming bacon butty it is......

Been using this place for years, on its third owners, I phoned for a delivery, said OK, waited over an hour phoned them back, said it would be another 20 to 30 minutes, food arrived after an hour and 45 mins, food was Luke warm and not up to standards in any way......this is the fourth time it has happen'd to me last time i cancelled this time will be the the last...these people need to realise who keeps them going through the winter months when all the tourists have gone home, seems like they they cannot cope with being busy....

Very tasty and good value for money. If you like crispy beef, try it with honey chilli sauce and noodles. A very nice dish. I can also recommend fish and chips. The portions are very generous.

Had the combo noodle box, it was really delicious, had the large box and there was more than enough for two, we also tried the chips which were really nice also. This was the first time been here, but will definitely go again.

Second time we tried this place won’t bother again. Sweet and sour chicken was so hard you couldn’t bite into it...not frozen just tough. The whole meal smelt of old oil. Even the prawn crackers were a funny taste.

Had 3 meals delivered new years eve.. Absolutely disgusting.. 2 of us have been with diahorrea all day yesterday. Thank god my son didn't eat his as he went out & was going to eat it later. I've tried phoning them & no answer. I've had advice of the environmental health which I'm following up. NEVER EVER EAT FROM THERE AGAIN.

I used the delivery service and the man was outstanding.. arrived with a big smile and get this..he called into the shop and picked up some beer for us..talk about going the extra mile . Very disappointed with food this evening. Had a king prawn chow mein and although the prawns were ok the rest was only fit for the recycling bin. Tasteless and stodgy and I honestly thought it was more like someone's leftovers

Ive always said how good this place is but lately it has been going down hill.my main meal had hardly any sauce or flavour and my duck spring rolls hardly contained any meat and in one of them contained a huge peice of duck bone which i could have choked on.the rest of my food went in recycle bin.the photo taken is the duck bone.

Just had a delivery of fish and chips from this establishment, the batter and chips arrived just hope the fish will follow shortly, what was in the batter was a trace of fish, No bigger than he ones in my tropical tank, total rip off, never again.

Nos encanta este chino. Nos gustaría recomendar banquetes e donde puedes elegir tu red. 10 libras por un montón de entradas y su principal. Siempre delicioso! La única decepción es la sopa, pero que se puede perdonar como todos los demás aspectos de la comida son deliciosos. Mejor llevar en la zona (y entregar a Abergele)

Excellent food, reasonable price, reasonable waiting times and friendly staff. Food always arrive's piping hot with freebies depending on how much you spend.

We have ordered several times for delivery to a local caravan park .Service and food always been excellent.

We decided to get a take away from here the other day due to lots of recommendations. Nice variety to choose from and lovely tasting dishes. Only disappointment were the chips soggy and undercooked otherwise really nice

I always use the golden bowl, I am local to the area and pay the extra £1 yes one pound for delivery, they have a system that links you phone number to your address so they know who you are straight away, always excellent.

Well with 2 early top scores to this wonderful Chinese takeaway I am not bucking the trend.Just sat on the sofa recovering from a mega feast....oh and proper chip shop chips as well....looking forward to another menu choice soon....a little off the track but find them to your benefit

I was very curious about the fact that these guys had no reviews so I asked what the story was. Golden Bowl have actually only just got themselves on the internet after over ten years in the takeaway business. So it seems I'm the first to review them. My wife and I were staying for the past week in a Caravan Park about 3 miles from The Golden Bowl, and they were recommended by the reception. The order arrived steaming hot, and every part of it was delicious. They are running an offer that if you spend over a certain amount, they include a free portion of prawn crackers and a lottery ticket, it could be even better this week if those numbers come in on Wednesday!! Even rated without these extras, I can't fault the entire meal. Maybe the Chicken and Sweetcorn soup needs a little more salt. Absolutely delicious and feel like we got great value for money. 5 Stars :) If we stay anywhere on the North Wales coast again we will be back for more. :)
