Tony's chippy in Rochdale

I have ordered via Uber Eats many times and I’m never disappointed except one time. Usually, food is hot when it arrives but one time it was just luke warm, which was a shame. However, usually it arrives hot, fresh and is very tasty! And of course, I will be ordering again!

This chippy is amazing, you can tell everything is fresh. The pies are juicy, The tenders are die for! The portions are large, everything comes not every time However the only problem with this place is the portions of curry sauce are in the smallest tubs, as a person who loves my chippy with lots of sauce is disappointing and makes the chippy dryer than it needs to be. I would love to give this place a full 5 stars

Was in Rochdale and was looking for fish and chip, someone told me about Tony’s fish and chips on Oldham road. It was possibly one of the best fish and chips I have ever had Darron’e from Birmingham

We rang and spoke to a gentleman who told us to come on in and that we take card and cash, we then arrived to place our order at 5pm to which we were ignored for ten minutes then told “what we’ve got is what we’ve got, we shut at half past so we don’t bother making anything fresh” we then asked what is what’s their she just said pies did not tell us what was not available and her attitude was ridiculous aswell as the young lad with greasy hair who worked at the pace of a slug- we decided to take our money and custom elsewhere, if we could leave 0 stars we would.

Great staff very friendly kaz was very welcoming and Tony was great as usual I always come here and always get the usual which is sausage muffin and chicken tower really great service definitely recommend if you are coming into Rochdale Tony’s chippy is the one

Chips all dry dark brown colour Sausages all dried and shrivelled gived sausage to the dogs Tony's chippy no way the same gone down hill since I used to go I did phone for a refund but no so here a bad review from me that bad kids not even eating the food

The only chippy I know that does steamed fish , beautiful with a few herbs absolutely delicious, Tony's every time

Called in for a fish supper. The batter on the cod was slightly greasy, what you kind of expect, but still quite crispy on the outside. The fish itself was okay, fairly fresh. The chips were not the best I’ve had but too bad. I ate most of them. English curry sauce was really nice with a slight kick on the back end. Mushy peas were decent. All in all not bad, pretty decent.

Nice food Fast delivery It’s pricey for a chippy but it’s the only one that deliver to my home

£7.70 for fish & chips and the fish was small, the woman in charge is cocky. The fish is nice but only when you ask for a freshly cooked one. I stopped going about half a year ago because the cocky woman didn't want to make me a fresh one after I told her that it's soggy not crispy, she insisted the fish was just cooked, she told me that a few time when buying and lied every time. I'm not going to try my luck or waste my money again now, good luck, badly conducted business !!!

Ordered fish and chips last night on Uber eats the fish smelled really fishy was hungry after a hard days graft! So ate it, not the best decision I ever made by far!! within an hour I started receiving symptoms, stomach cramps nausea and then Diarrhea was literally up all night on the loo went into work today 20 miles away but felt that bad I had to leave and go home within one hour work, I reckon you sent me spoiled fish and it gave me fish poisoning I missed a days pay because of it and in these troubling times aswel, I hope you read this and realise it’s not worth selling your old fish that’s been spoiled because you could spoil someone’s life and there families 🤮🤢

Great service, food was perfect, even received gravy at no extra cost, if you lived in the south you would appreciate these costs. Fish & chips in my region are £14.45 per serving, you should support these guys.

The chips are outstanding and the steak and kidney pie is unbelievable absolutely love this chippy

Ordered food from here tonight through uber eats. Rung up the shop after items were missing Got told they wasn't doing anything about it and was just plain rude. All the batter is rock solid and crumbles in your hand sausage inside was burnt. Chips are soggy Gravy is like water with no taste.

Great chippy 99% of the time - on a very very rare occasion (once in hundreds of visits) it has not been on point BUT I do respect that this chippy gets silly busy and mistakes can happen when your that busy, staff are 10/10 so any issues please talk these guys will rectify it - i hate those who bad mouth but wouldn't tell the staff and give them chance to resolve it. Portion sizes are generous, prices are about average for the area, staff very clean and respectful, the older bloke behind the counter is a legend.

Worst chippy I have ever eaten! Chips were stale and gritty and flavourless which is usually a sign of cheap potatoes. Horrible! The gravy was like brown water bland and empty of taste, it was like dipping your chip into a brew, overthinned to the point where it doesn't hold on to the chip. The only nice thing I can say the Holland's meat pie was nice whoever put it in the microwave did a good job. This is not a one off, I ate here about a year ago but the lads at work going so thought I would give it another go. Never again this place is vile!!!

Not impressed fish was small when I ordered 2 normal fish one came as should the other was half the size then when I called back all the guy could say was sorry about that and ordered 1 english curry and Chinese got 2 Chinese. Listening in not hard over priced anyway won't be back

This used to be an amazing chippy just ordered off Uber eats and part of my order was missing, rang and he said nothing I can do I’ll give it you next time! He didn’t seem bothered at all! It cost me £25 for 4 us and mine is ruined What a shame...

Always been very good chippy but a while ago I had a Kebab and was disappointed that the doner meat tasted cheap and greasy as they was always so nice . I thought I would try another tonight just in case it was a one off but it was still the same . I would be willing to pay more for better quality.

Massive improvement upon my last visit here, didn't think I would try it again but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of products they have to offer, great friendly service and a quality meal.

Go here 3 or 4 times a month for friday night family takeaway. Food is always fresh and off a very high standard. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. There is a wide range to choose from good old fish and chips to burgers and kebabs

Used to be the best chippy going . Dont rate it much anymore the chips are always dry and I asked for gravy on my food and was hardly any on .shame really to see a good chippy go downhill

Came here one day as I wanted fish and chips for tea and all I can say is I will never be back, chips greasy as hell and alot under cooked and as for the fish the batter was really soggy and luke warm, avoid this chip shop.

This chip shop has been a legend in itself for decades. Hostile staff spoiled it, especially the woman who now works in Kirkholt Convenience Store.

Cannot fault this chippy even does steamed fish mmmmmm?
