Tony Macaroni in Fife

Disappointed with this restaurant. Myself and my partner have dinner in the Dunfermline retail park regularly and had never tried Toni macaroni so decided to give it a try, Issues were as follows: -Managers friends came in shouting across the restaurant causing a scene. Music was obnoxiously loud, so sat in silence instead of trying to overpower the noise, as did other couples around us. Plates were not cleared and fresh cutlery was not given between courses, so had old plates cluttering the table. Time waiting on the food was longer than I would have liked, manager said he was short staffed. They also mid meal, started adjusting the lights, I could not see my food and then put it back to the brightness it was at before, Just a bit strange mid meal. They Packed one side of the restaurant as well instead of spreading people about a bit. Men’s Toilet floors were ‘Sticky’ and room needed attention. Went to pay and took off the service charge because of the bad experience we had and got questioned why, and they guy seemed annoyed at us and then proceeded to take the full bill off my card, instead of sorting the cheque, at this point my partner stepped in and asked for a refund for the unauthorised money he took, to which he gave back thankfully. Only saving grace was the pizza was good, but Rest of the meal was not up to scratch, and this is not enough to overcome the bad atmosphere and service, Won’t be returning or recommending! . Just not what you expect, Worse Dining Service Experience to date!

Mediocre at best. Chicken wing starter was nice but the main courses were awful. All I could taste from my crunchy under cooked risotto was garlic. Far too much garlic. Awful. Staff worked very hard though and restaurant was busy.

Not been here for a while and I have to say it was excellent. Food,service and surroundings were second to none. It appears to have different staff from the last time I was there and they were exceptional. Great value for money and a lovely atmosphere- would absolutely recommend

Have eaten here before so thought I knew what to expect. Unfortunately the service was poor, staff inattentive and service very slow. Food bland, toppings missing off pizzas. Not one of our 12 guests said the food was other than average. One member of staff, gentleman with shaved head and facial hair was almost to the point of being rude. Certainly wasn't interested in his customers and felt we were burdening him by even being in the restaurant.

Visited for birthday requested a booth seat at window when booking, were given tiny seat felt claustrophobic! This was when I said only three people coming other two couldn’t make it. Next thing two small children and one adult in the booth seat we requested. Ordered half rack of ribs, never seen such a small portion of ribs ever, terrible, had to order another portion which was small too, otherwise would go home hungry, charged £19.90, asked for bill reduction didn’t happen.

Lovely cosy restaurant! Went there with my parents and was not disappointed. The portions were amazingly big. My mum had the penne Contadina, and she really loved it.My dad likes spicy, so he had the Polo Inferno with spicy potatoes (he had to put it in a takeaway box cause he couldn't finish it, but he didn't want to leave it) you pay once you eat twice I like to say haha. I had the Polo Cizare, and it was divine. My son is a picky eater, but he finished the pizza saying it was the best pizza he ever had. Service was fast , and the Manageress Gabby was so nice and welcoming. Compliments to the chefs and the front house staff. This is the best restaurant in Dunfermline.

Ordered main meal, came out quick. So ordered dessert, waited and waited and waited and still no dessert. I asked the waitress and seems the order went missing. Well done Tony Macaroni the last time was my drink order this time was my dessert. Well I will not be back for the third time.

9th Dec Christnas menu Starters were good Arancini and butternut squash soup partner had fillet steak which was also good The disappointment was my hake wrapped in bacon with rosemary sauce (Nasello in Camicia de Pancetta e Rosemarino) 3 small pieces of hake - think wee willie winkie size- wrapped in a salty bacon on a bed of pea sized cubed fried potatoes and a very light rosemary sauce. basically it was a plate of mini cubed chips with a litle salad and 3 half sized fish fingers wrapped in bacon wih a roemary dressing. the hake was cooked well but the bacon was so overpowering that it completely killed any fish taste and the roesmary was so light that it might have not been there. I can forgive a poor dish and have been at Tony Macs many times previously and had no complaints so lets move on eh? No! What was unvorgiveable and why I WILL NEVER BE BACK - IS THE IMPOSED SERVICE CHARGE! I always tip. My choice NOT YOURS. If you include gratuities as a means to supplement wages I will not patronise your business.

First time eating here. There’s no TM in Suffolk. I saw the reviews for the place and thought we’d go anyway because every person’s experience is different. We had dinner Thursday evening and the restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere. Greeted by staff and welcomed. They gave us a comfortable booth to sit at and I honestly can’t say anything bad about the service or food. I enjoyed every last morsel. The brownie is to die for… I requested Cream and Ice cream as it’s a phat day. I LOVE the vanilla ice cream.. let me in that freezer so I can drink it all. 10/10 for food 10/10 for service 10/10 for the welcome

I went to Tóni Macaroni for dinner last night, I was served the worst piece of burger I have ever had. It was completely overcooked, felt like eating a piece of cardboard. Hope the chef is reading this, he/she needs to do better.

Although food and service was good which gained them a poor review rather than terrible as they let themselves down with the bill! I dined at the Dunfermline restaurant as part of a group of 18. During ordering our server constantly asked if we wanted coleslaw or garlic bread without advising the added charge associated. Then presented a bill of £538.67 which included a charge of 10% gratuity totalling £48.97!! again this was not advised it had been added. We all sorted what was ordered adding our own tips which is our right as customers to add or not based on the service provided, and still found us to be short. We of course ensured the bill was paid in full and had to leave quickly due to existing plans. I have now had a chance to check the bill and am outraged to find the gratuity which was added without advising us or asking! As a company as big as Tony Macaronis, this is utterly ridiculous you feel your customers cannot choose to leave tips at their own discretion, which many people will do. But instead slyly add it on without asking. The added £1.25 charge for a tiny minuscule pot of coleslaw was bad enough, but it is utterly unforgivable essentially stealing money for a service YOU THINK YOU provide instead of leaving it up to YOUR CUSTOMERS to decide!! Be very careful if you visit and always double check the bill before paying! I have contacted head office and email has been ignored!

Other than the pizza the food has a taste of being packet food and from a microwave service is poor had to wave down a waiter after being ignored by three Waited a long time for high chair which we requested as soon as went in. Ok so 3 of us went here this afternoon and although for 2 of us the food was ok but the other lasagna was clearly microwaved roasting at the edges but cool in the middle (a classic sign of being microwaved ) The manager came across a couple of mins after we started our meal to see if all was ok (which it was ) after that he was busy with other tables so couldn't speak to him . After the bill came we wanted to speak with the manager about the lasagna which my partner left half off as it was cold In the middle . To be honest the guy was no manager and with zero customer service skills and absolute disgrace to the service industry, It's not like we were trying to get the whole meal comped just do something about the lasagna , knocking of the service charge of a couple of quid didnt really do so it for us to be honest I'd never visit place again and I'd advise going elsewhere, he spoiled what should have been a very pleasant expression.

Went for dinner with my son, just the 2 of us and though we enjoyed the food, it was just average and the service was ok, we were really offput by the really loud music belting out, that we found it hard to hear one another and didn't find it relaxing in the slightest. My son had a headache by the time we got home so sadly I doubt we will be back.

Thank you so much for our lovely evening meal tonight. The new general manager from Dundee took care of us and the standard of the food has really increased since he took the helm. I chatted with him and as it turns out he has been in charge at another of my favourites in Perth, the Bothy. We will he back. (All the other staff also delightful).

From start to finish the whole experience was disgraceful ,on arrival the car park was covered in litter and the whole place looked sad and rundown,dirty windows ets not welcoming . We were shown to a totally unsuitable table and when we were reseated we were opposite the front door not satisfactory but we really wanted to have some food. I really wish we hadn’t bothered it was abysmal and I think I’m being kind,all the food was bland even the garlic bread, my partners shellfish dish was full of grit and all the food was served warm not hot , I saw a dish of lasagna going past with steam coming of it ,lucky person I thought , I was wrong it was swiftly rejected by that customer because it was still stone cold in the middle , that told me all I needed to know I didn’t want to eat anymore. I could list the amount of complaints I saw happening in front of me but this would be a very long list indeed. I think the final insult for me was the next day when I looked at the bill ,despite all this and complaining they had charged me an optional service charge of 15% I wonder if this is even legal ?

The food was amazing. Me and mine family can't wait for next time we go out so we can go again.My son loved the macaroni cheese.
