Too expensive, taste horrible Don't go. It's really terrible and expensive.

The price is exorbitantly high, and it can be said that it’s far from worth the cost. A bowl of ramen like this is usually priced around £12 in the market (I’ve tried many Chinese noodle restaurants, including those in London). The taste is quite ordinary, and I couldn’t detect the flavor of freshly simmered broth. I highly do not recommend it.

The food was VERY good, the restaurant also very stylisch and the waitress friendly...BUT...whoever wants to eat there should consider wearing very warm clothes because it is FREEZING cold inside the restaurant...we all kept our coats (pas did the waitress) and beanies on during dinner. It's really a pity...

We went yesterday when basically everything was closed, we wanted to have a few snacks before going to bed and we picked up some dishes to take away. Everything was wonderfully seasoned and warm. We were well attended to. I really enjoyed it.

We were in Isle of Skye for 3 nights and came here for 2, best ramen I have ever had! The host is so sweet and the service is very quick. One of the few places in Skye with a loads of vegetarian options!! But the Tofu ramen was my favourite 😋

Japanese Restaurant. We ordered a ramen and the waitress told us that the spice was medium and it couldn't be eaten because of how spicy it was. The worst thing is that they do not accept credit cards, only cash. The place has stairs and it is the most curious thing. The prices are high.

We only went here because we couldn't get in anywhere else and the we didn't think much of the interior but the food and service were oustanding. Very quick service and the food tasted so fresh and flavoursome. Wouldn't hestitate to recommend.

We ate here twice during our two days in Portree because the ramen was incredible. The reviews are very mixed but in fairness most of the food in Portree is expensive and we found the food not only delicious but the serving sizes generous. Staff were friendly as well.

We ended up here, because we wanted traditional Scottish food, but all restaurants in town were full and waiting for two hours for a table is a big no. A happy misfortune. Tomita had plenty of space, service was friendly and fast and the food was very tasty. The Szechuan style fries were to die for. Gyōza were good. I had volcano ramen as a main, which was also very tasty. We felt the place could get more customers if they show more clearly that they're open. It's just a small door with stairs going up, and if the place downstairs is closed, a lot of people would simply walk by, which is a pity. I'd happily come back to Tomita, for those fries alone.

The staff is smiling, the menu is varied (soup, shrimp, chicken, beef, pork, tofu or vegetables). Possibility of having a salad. You can now pay by credit card. And the boss will bring you a fork if you're nice!

A restaurant that only thrives due to an utter lack of any meaningful alternatives. We were already expecting terrible food but they somehow managed to exceed our expectations, in a bad way. Only go if you have never had Japanese / Chinese food and want things to get better from there. They also only accept cash, which is curious, but on second thoughts, not really. The reason does not evade the mind. If you want decent Asian food, there is a Chinese takeout nearby (which was unfortunately closed on a Tuesday).

This is The worst Ramon noodle I ever had! I have been many places and many Japanese noodle houses. Their hot tea was also the worst. It smells fishy and has no tea taste at all. The prices high too although that is understandable since they only make money during tourist season.

Although the price is a bit expensive, it tastes good and has hot water. The lady boss speaks Chinese and is very friendly and easy to communicate with. In addition, you can pay via WeChat, which is very convenient. Highly recommended for those who want to replenish energy during a tiring journey👍

Octopus roast is ice inside, and the face of dolphin bone Lamian Noodles is a little bit better.And it's very expensive. I've never eaten anything so expensive in London, and it's not delicious and poor. Anyway, I won't come back in the future. Visitors can refer to it. You can do it, but the cooking is very poor

ATTENTION: ABUSIVE PRICES. I give it a 1 because I can't give it a 0. They take advantage of the fact that tourists arrive late for dinner when the rest of the local restaurants have already closed (they close at 11:00 p.m.). The food was nothing more, but we waited half an hour for them to give us a table and, tired of waiting, we ordered the food to take away. They charged us 20 pence for the bag and instead gave us a box of peppers that they were going to throw away to take our order, which isn't that bad considering that if we had sat down they would have charged us 10% for the service. In short, a scam. It is worth going to bed without dinner if you don't arrive at the local dinner time.

We discovered this gem in Portree during our Isle of Skye tour, and it was exactly what we needed. As Asians craving familiar flavors, this place hit the spot. Despite the mixed reviews, we gave it a shot, and we're glad we did. We ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry and Beef Ramen—both dishes were just what we were craving. Both were good overall and tastes authentic Japanese. Just points for improvement would be: - ramen broth stronger flavor - for the curry, more serving of side salad and veggies We tried a few other restaurants during our Skye trip, but this one had the most satisfying experience by far. While it’s a bit pricey, it’s worth it compared to other options in the area. Highly recommend!

There are no other advantages except that the food is served quickly. If you want to eat lightly, you can choose beef ramen. Barbecued pork ramen is better, but it is definitely not worth the price.

It could have been a good experience but in the end we came out very disappointed: especially by the exorbitant price, CASH ONLY of course... the friendliness of the restaurateur more than limited, the 10% service not included, kindly indicated. Too bad because the meal was good (except the very light miso soup). We were all alone while all the other traditional restaurants in the city were extremely crowded. It's not wrong...

We came to Tomita after a long hike and were really happy about a warm bowl of ramen! We especially enjoyed the Vegetable Gyoza Ramen and the portions were very large. The prices were rather high, but not a big surprise for us in such a heavily visited tourist hotspot. We would go again.

One of the rare restaurants open a little later than the others in the evening in Portree... always useful when you arrive late in the area! Dishes quite expensive, but quite good. Guess that's the Isle of Skye rate so we won't cry foul. Fairly fast service. Payment by card possible! The japAnime decor inside is nice.

The waiter is Chinese, but he speaks very little Chinese and has a very bad attitude. The food is always frozen. I don’t recommend it.

This was hands down the WORST meal we’ve eaten in the UK and terribly over-priced. First off, you should know they only take cash. Second, most meals are 18.50 or more. Third, the service was a joke. There were only 3 tables and we asked for water and they didn’t give it to us. When I asked again (after our food was delivered), the server looked disgusted with us and then preceded to argue with another customer who was asking legitimate questions about dietary restrictions. Lastly, the ramen is terrible. The brother tastes like warm water with no flavor or time spent making it good. Even if you desperate, seriously skip this place and go to a co-op and buy something else. They should be embarrassed to call themselves a ramen place.

The price of the dishes is quite expensive and payment in cash only. We had ramen (a duck and a king shrimp), the ramen was generous in terms of toppings but the broth lacked taste and the noodles lacked quality. We added soy sauce which brought flavor back to the dish.

We went here as a last resort because all of the restaurants were booked out Sunday evening. I heavily regretted eating here. Overly expensive. £ 20 pound for ramen? And service charge??? And Cash only. For it to be so bad. I could justify it to myself if it was actually good. Just felt like a scam Very Bland ramen. £2.50 extra for a ‘ more flavourful’ one. I can make better miso broth. Tasteless beef . Ramen filled with bean sprout, nil else of quality. Perhaps other menu items taste better? But I would not recommend here based on price and quality I experienced.

TL;DR: go to the coop shop around the corner and buy yourself just anything to eat rather than come to this place. Seriously, the worst ramen I've ever had in my life. Purely a scam aimed at unsuspecting tourists. The only reason we came here was that all other places were busy and fully booked. Soggy and very expensive ramen noodles with bland taste soup (better to make your own cup noodles to your liking). And they take only cash and you must pay a 10% tip for... what? Way below the European standard of Japanese ramen.

Unenthusiastic staff, I had the BBQ Eel Ramen, the Ramen was cooked to death and the small pieces of Eel had no taste, the sauce was watery and definitely not worth the price of £19.50. All in all not recommended. Better look for fish and chips!

With the low rating, we were worried about the quality of the food and service. But we brought our dog along and tried the food. We LOVED that it was dog friendly, the service was great and the server was patient even with our barky dog (sorry about that). While the menu is pricey, the food was great! And came out really quickly. Would definitely come back!

I was disappointed with the food and service there. No greetings when you come in or leave. The Chinese girl who served us was on her phone with speaker on all the time. That’s really rude and inappropriate. Food was okay but definitely doesn’t worth £18 for one bowl of noodles. Won’t recommend this place to anyone. They should shut down.

Honestly, not expecting good Japanese in Scotland but here we are! Yes, it’s a little pricier but it was very tasty, not fried, and good service. As someone who needed a wee reprieve from the fish and chips- this was perfect.

It tastes terrible. Japanese restaurants don’t use Japanese rice. They use cheap foreign rice and it’s so expensive.

Not recommended. Although it’s located in the tourist area, the menu is hugely overpriced. The price is double from standard and the chef is basically do not respect the food. The rice feels like frozen rice. The duck udon is equivalent to duck fat udon. The deep fried shrimp is cold. Only the green tea worth the price (3pounds per person)

The place inside was nice and cozy. The food was expensive, cash only and not flavorful. Left feeling disappointed. Service fee is included. Only good thing was that it was open later than most places around. I would def look elsewhere or plan to pay quite a bit for some bland ramen.

Just like other reviews said, the ramen is extremely thin and soft, so it’s basically fake ramen. The fried udon is also extremely salty and the price is on the high side. The only advantage is probably that most restaurants here have to queue up or make reservations in advance, so you can come here when you really don’t have anything to eat.

We had two ramens, it was ''eatable'' but no flavor, the soup tasted like water. The beef was fatty and it was expensive. I make better ones. Englishment if you can eat elsewhere, do it. The only positive side is the quantity.

Whoever comes will regret it, fake Japanese ramen and the menu are two different things. Just a regular noodle soup costs 20 pounds. There is a mandatory 10% service fee if there is no service.
