I frequently buy from Tokyo express the last 8years now, lovely people, really nice food. The prices are reasonable.

Been ordering from Tokyo Express for a few years now. For me it's the nicest Japanese food in the area and we've got quite a few places to choose from now. It's the original and the best!

Always very decent and good value. . I’m addicted to the yaki soba. Not a compliant, but a suggestion - Rethink maybe the roll in the salmon & tuna set? Both fish together makes no sense. Can’t enjoy the tuna as it’s overpowered. Would be better 6 of each fish in individual rolls. Or even 3 + 3 and a few slices of sashimi. Anyway, thanks!

I'm surprised that rice was way overcooked and fish didn't taste fresh in sushi.It looked that sushi was made by beginner, the rolling was really bad. It was OK to eat but wouldn't have any cravings or need to reorder from there again.

Bad food not fresh wouldn't recommend.

I ordered 4 California rolls: 2x Vegetarian 2x fish But... they ALL were fish!!! So my husband had to order again, but from different place !!! NOT HAPPY at ALL!!

Food took 2 hours although delivery time said 1. The time from leaving the restaurant to delivery was over an hour, so needless to say the food was cold on arrival but the mocha balls, which had been put in with the hot food, had melted. When I phoned the restaurant after an hour and a half to find out what was happening, they said they were too busy, so why were they continuing to take orders?! The restaurant should change their name to Tokyo Painfully Slow.

Was great, only thing was that I got asked to meet the delivery person at the bottom of the apartments building instead of having it delivered straight to our door. Food wise, always been excellent.

The food from here is always late. I may have selected 10mins from the list but that is after a very long original wait time. I only ordered ramen and a single sushi so most of the order is hot water and it took an hour and a half. This is not the first time. The only reason I order again is because their ramen is actually pretty good but they are always always late. If you order from here make sure it is about 2 hours before you want to eat

I would just like to leave a comment here to grumble about the delivery. The delivery driver refused to come to the door and made us come down, basically refreshing to enter. He was rude and I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a delivery to be delivered, to your door. When we mentioned via intercom we had a baby sleeping and I was asleep, he said he could take it away if we didn't want it, and honestly if I was paying cash I would have told him to F-off then. As it was, yours truly had to be woken up to get get. Regretfully, I won't be using this takeaway again.

Regularly order from this restaurant and the food is delicious every time. Always fresh and top quality. Highly recommend the tori gyoza and yaki soba. Portions are large and good value for money.

10/10 in all areas. I never write reviews - only if something is exceptionally bad or exceptionally good. This is by far the best sushi I’ve had delivered at home. We ordered way too much as we are used to sushi portions being so small, but here they are big - the actual rolls themselves are so big and full of fish. The fish seems to be really really fresh and of a high quality. We also ordered some noodles which were so good - really fresh and high quality. Will order again!

Sadly restaurant have a problem with keeping up with delivery time, my order was 30 minutes late, but food was still hot. Yaki udon was really delicious, but ramen was disappointing, broth was quite bland, there was too much overcooked noodles, ramen definitely needs improving. Overall it was ok.

Late, not the first time - on this occassion 50 min - food delivered cold. Restaurant knew about order but no heads up about delay, in fact they were not surprised at all that it is late - forced "sorry" seemed enougjt to them to deal with problem. Fed up with frequent lateness . Food was mainly good but "drama" of actually having it delivered is not worth it - as such - there is a no from me! Not again! Avoid!

Not really impressed with quality of sushi rolls and the way it looked. It was nice but definitely not the best sushi place in area. I don’t know why it’s rated so high.

Order was over 3 hours late and it never came!!! I ordered at 18:30 and when 21:15 came and my food still wasn’t here, my partner drove to the restaurant. They weren’t even preparing my order!! After arguing with them for some time about their ridiculous service, they gave him £2 change for the delivery service (which never came) and prepared the food there and then, disregarding the comments I made to not include a certain ingredient from the order. The delivery drivers were very upset too as customers were moaning at them when in fact it was not their fault. The whole time I rang the restaurant to ask for an update, their phone was always busy. Turns out they left it open so no one could call them. Overall awful service! Extremely upset with it all - they certainly ruined our New Year’s Eve! Never ever again!! NEVER!!

I have used Tokyp Express plenty of times but today was very different. The order was made and initial delivery time was for 55mins later. It seemed strange as normally it takes between 20-30mins max. The delivery time passed but no information, so called the restaurant who at first seemed confused about my order and whether it was collection or delivery. Then once sorted they said they were waiting for a driver. It then changed to 1 hour 20mins after ordering for the food but no driver picked up the food until way after that new delivery time. When the food eventually did arrive it was extremely late and no real apology from anyone.

Took an hour and a half for ramen and a noodle dish. An hour and a half for water and noodles!!!

As always delicious food, good quality and portion sizes (for bento box and yaki udon), and prompt delivery.

They got the address wrong when I called up to correct the address that was stored on my Google account but they must of misheard me iinnoct mistake. Never happened before. Still gift recommended, the food is always great.

Always go here. Quick delivery usually and we love the bits we get. Cali roll and selection of nigiri.

My salmon sashimi was over a centimetre thick. The sides in the bento box are a rip off. Some salad leaves and pickles veg (could have been aubergine). Very lame.

90 minutes and still I wait. When I ordered I didn’t think they would be delivering it <from> Tokyo...

It was supposed to be spicy, and was very bland instead.

The sushi was good to our surprise and they packed the miso soup very well (vacuum sealed) The starter was the mixed platter, quite oily but tasty never the less. I’d recommend this place

Please fix your ramen! Everything else was ok (sushi, edamame, seaweed salad) but the veg gyoza ramen is absolutely horrible. I can’t eat it, I’m going to have to throw it away, waste of money. Aside from the broth flavour, it’s too many noodles and not enough veg, and it isn’t wholemeal noodles like it says here.

Food was tasty and arrived nice and fast but we ordered the vegetarian gyoza but they had meat in them which we were quite upset about as we are vegetarians :(

I didn’t receive my order ... they told me the driver was late 2 hours and they suggested to me to go over there and pick up myself to receive my order. I need and answer and get my refund otherwise I will take my complaints one step forward

Please don’t order from this place. I placed a pre order to arrive at 7:15 then I was told it would arrive at 17:15 when 17:45 came I rang the restaurant. I can’t even begin to describe the treatment, not only did he shout at me and telling me to go ahead and cancel the order, he was talking over me. Don’t let me pre order and chose a time if you can’t deliver. He stated the driver was late and it’s raining and it will be another 20 mins. I’m so angry being spoken to like that. I told him he was being rude and then told me I was being rude. It’s not about the food being late anymore it’s about people not knowing how to communicate and they really shouldn’t be answering the phone

The soup was lovely not as spicy as I had asked, but the beef could have been grilled longer but I always order from here and the food is always delicious.

Food usually good, but sadly this time the order of tuna with other items -the other items were missing and the salmon with other items was missing. Really disappointed as the dishes didn’t taste good.

Food is consistently delivered extremely late but this is the first time it’s been delivered far too early and not in line with the time as promised. The restaurant did not acknowledge this error when I rang and were completely unhelpful. The food is not good enough to justify this terrible level of customer service.

I will never ever order sushi from this restaurant. The order was late, and the cherry on the top were the not fresh and bad looking rolls. So sad I can’t attach photos.

I've ordered from here twice now, and the food was really nice but both times it was delayed by 30 minutes. That's obviously not poor service. The late delivery will definitely put me off ordering again.
