Tofu Oriental in East Renfrewshire

Unfortunately we didn't get to even try food. We booked here for our wedding as my sister is coeliac and becomes very ill. We booked months in advance, budget, numbers etc agreed, list handed in. Told all great and be in touch. 1 week before wedding I called, still great although no time. 2 days before wedding still no call... so I called to be told they had no list (3 of us met in store 2 months prior) and not enough budget. Was told we would receive phone call in few hours.. if issues why weren't we contacted?! Its now Tuesday after our Sunday wedding and still waiting on call back... beyond disgusting terrible customer service not only to a wedding but to a take away providing for medical needs (gluten free). I work in customer service so have never gave a negative review as I understand things go wrong but this was too far. Not an easy fix for my guests and especially poor sister.

Picked up a takeaway for a family birthday. The owner certainly knows his coeliac as he was great in an initial call and in person. The GF food was terrific as were all meals. And friendly , prompt service with a smile and a joke

This Chinese takeaway is a wonderful find for safe gluten free eating! I suffer from coeliac disease and it is a real challenge to find takeout options where not only are there gf options but they are prepared safely. My husband found Tofu online, with good information on how they manage gf. We went (twice already!) and were delighted not only at the food (delicious and safe for me) but at the knowledgable and friendly service, and the great value (no gf surcharge on already very reasonable prices). This will be a real go-to place for me, and I've already started telling friends about it, including another coeliac, so it's only right to spread the word!!

Recently tried this takeaway for the first time as was recommended the Gluten Free menu and I was not disappointed. The food was absolutely beautiful and the delivery quick and friendly brought by a lovely polite young man. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

Ordered gluten free special curry. It was very orange in colour with a really unpleasant smell off it. Tasted bad, spicy but no flavour, and like it had fairy liquid in it. Shame, because quality of the chicken, prawns mushrooms etc was excellent. The sauce let it down so badly. Called to tell them we could not eat it and asked them to check the sauce themselves, was told, ive got your number here,I’ll just note on the system that you’re not a fan of the gf curry. Terrible customer service. A refund or offer of a replacement meal would have been nice. It’s a pity, was our 3rd visit, last order was messed up, wont be back. 😕sad.

Amazing for gluten free!!! Ordered a gluten free munchies box and it was absolutely amazing. GF chicken balls, salt and pepper chicken, chicken wings, salt and pepper chips and curry sauce. All cooked separately to avoid cross contamination so suitable for coeliacs. Absolutely loved my meal and the man on the phone was so helpful and friendly. 10/10 and can’t wait to order from here again.

Ordered a meal here as my wife is gluten-free and id heard they do good food. Well we must have vastly different ideas on good food as its the worst chinese I've ever tasted. Satay meal was bone dry and burnt and stringy? (never had chicken like that). Was told all meat is marinated for 24 hours so couldnt have been dry. Rice paper with chicken was a piece of dry satay chicken wrapped in a rice pancake. Chips were reheated from probably yesterday. Phoned back to complain and my wife was told by the operator to "spit it out". Wouldnt let my wife talk. And wont refund even part of the meal. First time Ive been here and from my experience eating here, itll be the last.

This is the first Chinese I’ve had since becoming meat free almost a year ago and it didn’t disappoint. I had the salt and chilli tofu and a side of fried rice and sauce. The person who served me was lovely. All done socially distanced and he offered to bring my food out to my car so that I didn’t have to wait in the cold. Would 100% go back

got a king prawn curry last week with and was really disappointed, far too much oil and king prawns were very chewy. meal I had previous to this was not bad aswell but last weeks meal was terrible. wont be ordering again.

Got curried vegetables and curried king prawns, they were absolutely dreadful, swimming in oil. When I phoned to complain, the guy tried to convince me that rather than mixing water to make their curry sauce they mix theirs with oil, he told me the layer of oil was because it had been sitting and just to mix it in! As you'll see from the photos this was a dreadful meal. Loads of good takeaways about, I'd order from one that knows what they're doing. Avoid!

We had a take away meal delivered. This is a resturaunt used by my family on a regular basis and has always been excellent but this was definately very poor. The portions were small and 3 out of 5 were hardly edible.Such a shame ass was 1 of our favourites. Don't know why. I had sweet and sour chicken poor and the chicken balls were like bricks. first time trying tonight and it was ready on time and looking forward to it. The starters were tasty but we left most of the mains as very tasteless and then the sauces were far too sweet and the onions were all raw and really overpowered the taste of the food, Thought also the sides of rice and noodles were average at best,

Sometimes we will order in food for Christmas Day so my wife doesn,t have to cook, and there is not a pile of dishes and pots to clean. Makes for a more relaxing day if you can afford it. But when you order for this particualr day you always have this slight trepidation that maybe it won,t come or it will not be that good. No such worries with the wonderful Tofu Takeaway. Our food arrived at 2.30pm bang on time, was piping hot and absolutely delishious and there was no increases in price as well so was probably a bit cheaper in the end than a big turkey and trimmimgs. We probably ordered more than required and everyone was properly satisfied. And then it being Christmas day you can nip back later and polish off the leftovers. Once again my thanks for the Excellent service and scrumptious food. Hope I haven,t given everyone a good idea for next year.

Last night we enjoyed an excellent meal from Tofu Oriental. It is the best Chinese food we have had in a very long time evident in the clear plates. The salad in the prawn cocktail was fresh and tasty. The sweet and sour chicken balls were delicious with good quality chicken with lovely batter, not stodgy or too thick which is often the case. The char Sui pork was also delicious, the meat well cooked and tender. The food was also delivered hot.

Drunk prelockdown scran, 3 mates are gluten free freaks, one by necessity two by fashion. Never agree especially when wrecked ..... Boom found a banging Chinese which ..... HAS Gluten free !! I face it seems they will made anything they can gluten free if needed. We woke up forgetting where we ordered it but the guys there put a menu in the bag with a number WINNING

With a name like Tofu, I had expected it to be a vegan joint! I was soo wrong loads of seafood and meats ... and compared to else where the gluten free menu is HUGE. Really happy with my food and cheaper than else where as there’s no premium charge on the gluten free dishes ! I’m not a social outcast anymore yay for equality in pricing. Xxx Thankyou so much
