Toby Carvery Aigburgh in Liverpool

Far too warm inside (heating was on during a hot spell) & we weren't allowed to sit outside to eat. Very uncomfortable.

Disappointed that no beef was available when it was only 7.30pm. Quantity of meat served wasn't exactly generous. And the usual problem with Toby Carvery roast potatoes- none were crunchy, almost all were soft and squishy.

Alison is absolutely incredible! Alison has gone above and beyond with her service. We were welcomed as soon as we came to the table and offered drinks straight away, explained how the self service carvery worked. We were brought glasses of water for the table, while eating the gammon which can be salty. Alison is so chatty and funny and made us feel so welcome! We can’t wait to come back and see her again!

Me and some work colleagues visited here last night, and as always Toby didn't disappoint! I also got the mushroom pie, and it tasted delicious! Managed to stack my veggie plate nice and high and left with a serious case of Toby Tummy (Well stuffed)! Natalie was lovely. As Emily said she was really friendly to meet and handled a rather blunt customer very well without loosing her composure. Will definitely remember this Toby as one to visit!

Ate here tonight curing a work trip and what a treat - food was lovely (as always for a toby) and VERY filling! Natalie was a champ - very chirpy and positive. I saw her handling a difficult customer on another table and even if he wasn't the friendliest, she still went above and beyond to help them with a smile on her face. Thanks for an amazing meal!

Went for a carvery on a Tuesday and everything was great. Plenty of veggie options - i had the mushroom and onion pie which was lovely. Natalie was especially a delight! She was friendly, funny, and was happy to help. I'd be lucky to experience more servers like Natalie!

Natalie was our waitress and she was fab! Food was great.

Came in at 8.50 pm and got told the kitchen is closing at 9. Which is fine so we headed up to get our food. Seeing as the kitchen was closing the meats and veg selection looked very fresh. The only downside was that we were not offered any drinks or if we are enjoying the food. Tried to make some banter with the staff as to how things are going, was only met with no response or friendly greeting. Chef was amazing though. What a shame.

After travelling around Europe and eating out A LOT, we can honestly say that this Toby Carvery is OUTSTANDING. The quality, level and variety of roast dinner is astonishing. How do they do it?!! Staff Member Hayley was superb and went out of her way to make our experience enjoyable and helped us with requirements. DO NOT miss this place - for wonderful food (FINALLY!) and incredible value (nope, don't know how they do that, either). Am already fantasising about next time and Full English. Thank you for existing, Toby's!

As weekly visitors we always get excellent service from Sharon, today was the exception as she was gutted that Liverpool won the league. Only joking, Sharon is fab we love her :)

packet veg, rock hard potatoes, hard parsnips and everything freezing cold. And if ur unlucky to need anything from the server, prepare to wait 20 minutes for them to come over, then 20 minutes until u get it. Been to numerous Toby carveries and I'd rate this one the worst. First time there and deffo my last.

I came for a few days away in Liverpool and I have to say the service and the running of this Toby has to be the best I have ever seen. They don't rush you and are more then happy to help. I highly recommend here.

Amazing time , me and my partner wanted a nice carvery on a lovely Sunday and that is what we got superb food and fantastic staff 🖤✨️ I have forgotten the lady's name who served us but she was fantastic and was so chatty and friendly with everyone and created such a lovely atmosphere , she had light white / grey hair with a lanyard closest to the carvery

We visit this venue every year on the first Saturday of April. This year, we enjoyed it a lot more than in the past. The team today was lovely and happy, which made our dining experience better. The Carvery here is OK, not sure why, but it's always just "ok" 5 meats to choose from, which is great but all seemingly dried out from being sat too long under the heat lamp. Also, the vegetables all withered from being sat too long. I expect some degree of the effects from heat lamps, but this particular Toby Carvery has always been the same. Nevertheless, we will return next year as it's the closest to my disabled family's home, so convenience wins. Thank you the the waiting team for their warmth and service today.

Went for a carvery with family and was served by Ava who was lovely and attentive throughout. The food was mainly very nice and hot; you can really fill your boots. Some of the food was a bit dry for example the stuffing but the meat was very tender and tasty. Good value for money. Nice atmosphere. Would go again.
