The grilled meat for two is probably the tastiest grilled food I got in Edinburgh. The sausage is amazing and so different than your usual takeaway sausage.

The gyros are great, we order from here regularly and always think it’s delicious and well priced. I know it wouldn’t be authentic but would love if there was halloumi in the veggie wrap! Shame that it’s just vegetables and chips (but still delicious)

Ordered spanakopita and got this joke instead really disappointing. Feel like I thrown 6 quid into the bin. No Spinach some weird bread pizza pastry rock hard unedible. Nice gyros wrap but definately had better quite stingy on salad. Tzatziki was just yoghurt too. Sad experience. Hope you do better next time for others.

2nd time here. 1st time had chicken gyros, so good. Thought I'll try again to see as good and oh yes. Proper Greek food.

Ordered delivery of pork and chicken souvlakis, and it was utterly delicious. Chips were perfectly crispy and well-seasoned, the pitta was super fluffy, the salad was excellent and the meat was flavourful and had that lovely char from the grilled. Best Greek food in Edinburgh we've had so far. Would 100% order again!

Ordered delivery. Great pork gyros, terrible main: ordered a chicken grill plate which was supposed to come with tomato, onion and tzatziki but was just chips, dry chicken and some kind of cream cheese substance. Spanikopita inedible.

Great food at really good prices, always fresh.

First time I ordered food from this place, the food was delicious, I had the mixed gyros, dolmades (cooked rice wrapped in vine leaves) and melitzanosalata (aubergine salad, like a baba ganoush, very tasty). My order arrived in a timely manner on a Saturday night, quicker than the ETA on the deliveroo app which was 50 mins. And shout out to the Romanian staff member who left me a note in our language and a surprise for me in the bag! Made my evening!

Great quality food, outstanding customer service

This take away is shockingly bad. Lukewarm bland food. I'm embarrassed for them more than anything. If they served this in Greece they would be out of business in 1 day. Read all the reviews, its obvious that many of the good reviews are fake. Must be done by friends of the owner. Don't waste your money.

EDIT: Old score: 4, new score: 2 Reducing this to two starts as I recently ordered a main (chicken, chips, bread, onions, tomatoes, tzatziki) but I only received chips and chicken. Was really disappointed. This was my first souvlaki. I really enjoyed it. The chips were plump and moist, as chips should be. The chicken had a nice crisp skin but was not dry over cooked. I wasn’t a big fan of the bread, but no major complaints. The chocolate cake was really interesting too. It had this taste to it that felt like it was cooked in a clay oven, I enjoyed it. Only complaint is that it was a bit dry. Will most likely try it out again.

My family is from Greece, and this is the best Greek takeaway I’ve had in the UK! Everything we’ve had has been amazing and the service is great too (even after forgetting the baklava in our order, they immediately got someone back out to deliver it). Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Order from here twice now and I have already tried most of the stuff on the menu. Not only does the food come fast, but it comes hot with almost no loss in overall quality. The chicken is very good, but the pork is on another level, seriously some of the best pork I've had in my life. If you're on the fence about trying this place let me be the hand that pushes you over, go here, get whatever you want on the menu, it's going to be delicious.

We're delighted to have To Hodrulis in our neighbourhood. We've tried quite a few things - gyros, spinach pastry, Greek salad, orzo pasta with slow cooked beef - everything has been delicious! Whatever you go for, you can expect wonderfully authentic home-cooked Greek food here.

Great food last night, ordered the chicken gyros, spanicopita, Green Salad, chicken souvlaki, potato wedges, Bougiourdi and Keftedakia Me Saltsa. I wish my stomach was bigger but every bite was delicious.

This friendly and welcoming family-led place has been keeping up with the high standards, serving great quality of food, staying true to the greek tradition, and bringing you homemade dishes that will make you return there. Wasn’t expecting anything amazing, but this was truly authentic Greek food. The ingredients were all fresh and everything was prepared to a high quality. Went there for collection today and the people were just so nice. They look like they're really enjoying what they do which straight away means to me that the food is gonna be good. And the food didn't disappoint. I got the mixed gyros wrap. You couldn't fit more meat in there and all the trimmings in it made it definitely the best I had in Scotland. I also got the spinach pastry and the cheese and herbs pastry to bring home and share with the wife and kids and they really enjoyed it as well. I'll return as soon as I can.

We had the home made soutzoukaki and the Mousaka! The delicious food reminded me of our last year vacations in Santorini and brought back all the unforgettable tastes We experienced!

Okay had the sharing pork and chicken gyro. Good sized portions. But found the meat salty and not much other flavours. No char taste or herbs/spices. So felt it was lacking something.

The eggplant dish was DELICIOUS.

It is really the best greek food in Scotland - fresh, authentic and delicious. The service is fantastic and you can also have amazing handmade greek desserts!!

I'm not one to leave reviews but this deserves full marks called up to get delivery as im and a wagon and have no address just a postcode of where I am so called asked if they would deliver to me to which I got a yes we can food arrived in good time the food was brilliant will defo be back even if I need to come up in the car haha

Ordered a wrap using delivery on Foodstuff app. Driver was lovely and the portion was generous, but the food was disappointing. Had high hopes based on positive reviews, but I found the chicken to be burnt and pretty tasteless, the chips in the wrap were really oily and the tzatziki was weirdly sour. I didn’t enjoy it but this might’ve been a one-off bad experience, plus it had to be delivered which might have affected quality.

Ordered for the first time a few days ago. Got the mixed grill and it was excellent. All meats were cooked very well and tasted great. The Greek/Cypriot spicing takes the burger / sausage to another level. Super tasty. Chips, tomato, red onion, pita and tzatziki were an awesome side. Came in a box wrapped in foil to keep the heat. Give this place a try you won't regret it. :)

I had been meaning to try this new Greek takeaway since it opened a couple of months ago, and last night I was passing at the end of a stressy day of work, and so I decided to jump in. I ordered the stuffed cabbage leaf parcels main course. TBH I was slightly concerned they might be a bit heavy, but they were frankly out of this world. So light and delicious - I am going have to stop myself getting exact same thing on my next visit, because there are so many other dishes on their menu that I now want to try! So delighted To Hodrulis is just around the corner.

Really lovely, fresh, tasty food and friendly service. Freshly made and generous portions at a great price. Was recommended by a friend of a friend and really pleased we tried it. The gyros wrap is a real highlight. The fries could have been a bit crispier to be perfect but they still tasted great so not a problem for me. Also they have a loyalty card which is always a bonus and we will definitely be back to try more from the menu.

I noticed this place in passing, then checked out their menu online, and was impressed to see plenty of choice for vegetarians. I was slightly concerned that so many dishes noted that they were finished with olive oil because Greek restaurants can be overly generous with the oil, but when my food arrived, nothing was oily or greasy at all. The standouts, for me, were the crushed yellow split peas, the absolutely outstanding mashed aubergine, and the braised veg in tomato sauce. I will be ordering from them again in the near future.

Such a fast service, the food was just wow. Got the Tirokroketes(fried cheese balls) and pork gyros. Honestly amazing food and great value for money. This will definitely be the new regular for me.

Great Greek Street food. We got chicken gyros wraps and they were yummy . Just like in a good place in Greece. We also ordered bougiourdi. Was lovely and properly spiced. We will definitely order again and try the home made food soon!

My husband and I received a pamphlet through the post for this restaurant and had been craving Greek food for weeks. We decided to wait until they opened to give it a try and we were so happy we did! We ordered home delivery and everything arrived hot and fresh. We tried several different starters, a salad, and the vegetarian moussaka, which we were so glad they offered the option for. Everything was wonderful and so flavorful. They even wrote a kind personalized thank you on one of the takeaway boxes and included a complimentary dessert, which we hope was intentional :) Definitely very authentic Greek food and a place we will order from again! Love how it is owned by a local Greek family and felt very rewarding to order from a new small business.
