I stepped into Oma's for a late lunch today and was blown away--absolutely delicious, filling food and attentive service. I will definitely be back.

They ran out of jollof rice when we visited so they went out of their way to get me alternate food options to meet my dietary requirements. The bitter leaf soup was so good. Loved the service and will definitely come back!

Price was staggering and bordered on ridiculous. A bowl of efo riro without meat for £20 is unbelievable no matter how well it tastes. And to charge £1 for each takeaway bowl is new on me. Needless to say the hunt to reasonably priced Nigerian food in Edinburgh continues...

I can boldly recommend Oma's cuisine after using the service for my graduation ceremony. The food tastes really good, all my guests enjoyed every bite and commended how delicious the food was.

I went for the weekend at St Andrews (Fife) and was looking for an African cuisine and saw Omas pop up as one of the suggested restaurant. Driving all the way to Edinburgh for this dinner was worth the drive. The pepper soup with yam, the rice with the ayamase stew and the poundo yam with egusi soup and egunfe didn't disappoint, all yummy. We Definitely will be back there.

Was walking home and decided to investigate this place as a friend from work was telling me about how good Nigerian food can be. They told me about jollof rice but it sounded kind of dull to me but being a fairly hardcore foodie and formerly a professional chef I was eager to check it out. I just so happened to be walking past Oma’s so I walked in, there was quite a curious cooking smell if I’m honest so now I am well and truly curios. The waitress sat me down and unbeknownst to her I was imaging myself as Gordon Ramsey on kitchen nightmares… let’s just say I was ready to be underwhelmed… I ordered the jollof rice with beef. I got 3 huge tennis ball sized portions of rice and a hilariously small portion of beef. I thought to myself, well… the beef better be good and it was truly exceptional and maybe this is how we should be eating meat, tiny amounts but done superbly well like this. The rice was absolutely delisous also. I thought I’d be bored of it and not be able to finish but it was really good and I wolfed the lot. Just it seems a bit of a shame that there is a massive curtain separating the kitchen from the dining area tho I’m guessing there may be a practical reason for this, just my opinion… anyway keep up the good work I’ll be back to try something different next time.

I placed an order for Bole(Plantain) and Fish with a lot of spice. And I got it. It was so tasty, and it came right on time. I loved the fact that it was delivered to my home. Delicious hearty and flavourful food, lovely atmosphere and a fantastic playlist was playing thoroughout

Booked in for 9 of us. We were accommodated easily, music was put on at the back for us. The food was AMAZING, spicy and flavourful. Only issue is the meat portions were on the small side but it was soooo good. The staff are also very friendly.

Just had the Rice & Ayamese stew, and damn, this did not disappoint. The portion of stew is small (lots of rice though), but you understand why when the spices hit. It's very hot (spicy) and so intensely flavorful. I can still taste it, and no doubt I will continue to taste it until the end of the day 🤣 The hibiscus cocktail again was full of flavour and a great experience. I will definitely return next week when I'm back in Scotland.

Lovely staff and great food! We tried the Jollof Rice, Egusi soup and Zobo for the first time and they were all great. Perfect portion sizes and lovely atmosphere, would definitely recommend!

A fantastic new Nigerian Restaurant with lovely and attentive owners and staff. I ordered their Jollof Rice with Beef, and was very impressed with the flavours and service. Good value with perfect portion sizes (I also ordered food to go after dining in). Excited to return in future to try new items on their menu. Highly recommended!!

I was looking forward to this place opening! Stopped by for lunch today and I’m so glad I did. I had some flavourful jollof rice with tender beef and a glass of Zobo. Was my first time trying African food and I’d totally come again to try more of the menu.
